I had the jalapeño burger spice was good burger more well than medium, hand cut onion rings good but could have been warmer. Daughter had the make your own burger hers was closer to medium and«very good». Husband had the NY Strip steak, very tender and done perfectly the grilled asparagus was delicious. Dessert selection very limited, since we were out for a birthday a disappointment.

Great food with yummy homemade deserts. The drinks are good too. I would give it five stars for the type of restaurant, but the service is so slow. Don’t go if you are in a hurry.

Really nice burger place we stumbled across. We rarely get to the east side of Elkhart. Very clean. Friendly staff. Great service. Pretty good beer list. Lots of on tap choices. House made chips are really good. House made 1000 island dressing is dam good. Had the Wrangler Pork tenderloin sandwich(with pulled pork, pickles and cheese. Wow. It was great. And a lot of food. Ahi tuna steak a bit over-seasoned, but not to where it wasn’t still good. We will be back! Worth the drive.

They make the best pork tenderloin samiches you will ever have! Not only just about the size of your face, but they are the best tasting ones we have ever had… ever.

I really wanted this place to live up to its Unilocal reviews but it just didn’t happen. We were in town for the weekend and we frequently check Unilocal for the hidden treasures when we travel. We were taking family out for dinner and narrowed it down to Texas roadhouse and the lab since I’ve been craving steak for about a month and decided on the lab. The wait wasn’t too bad, they seriously need an actual waiting area though, squishing in between both bathrooms and the entrance was kind of ridiculous. We get seated and the waitress brings our drinks pretty quickly. We were having some trouble deciding and she said she’d be back in a few, 20 mins later we finally got our order in when she returned. I got the filet medium with baked potato and salad, hubby got a burger and the jalapeño fries and family got fish and chips. Salad and dressing was good but our food didn’t arrive until 45 mins later when the place was almost empty and we asked about it. The waitress said the kitchen was backed up(serving who? Nothing came out of there for a good 15 mins cuz we were watching). My filet was very well done, the potato was small and overcooked(rubbery). We had talked our aunt into trying the sweet potato fries and they were seriously overcooked and the fish was overcooked as well. At least my hubby enjoyed his burger and fries. They comped my meal since I’m sure the cook knew what he sent out was not what I ordered. I guess the normal chef got hurt and they’re training two new ones on a Friday night?

Great tenderloin. A little pricey with the sweet potato fries added, but all of it was pretty tasty!

We were taking through town and stopped in here. Nice little place. Three of us ate here. Two had burgers, rated them better than average, a lot of specialty burgers. I had a New York strip steak, this was great, super thick and juicy. Sweet potato fries were also very good with there special sauce. We also had the beer cheese and pretzel bits. The chesse was ok, the pretzel bits were awesome. To wrap it up we had peanut butter and jelly cake for dessert, WOW, to die for. If you haven’t been here definitely give it a try!

this place is incredible. The sweet potato fries were the best I’ve ever had, and the onion rings are hand made. The burger was perfectly cooked, and the beer was delicious. Highly highly recommended, very nice owners too and a historical spot in town.

I always enjoy my time when I come here for beers, but whenever I come to have food, I am disappointed. Their service here is very bad. Either the servers don’t care very much or they have too many tables to serve. Either way it’s a problem. It’s sad, too, because their food is delicious! Calzone sticks are awesome, any burger is actually cooked to the level of doneness that you desire, and everything always comes out fresh.

My husband and I go there a few times a month and it’s amazing! The sweet potato fries are really good and they always have a burger of the month! It’s so exciting to try new things there. I extremely suggest the pork tenderloin HOLYCRAP!!! Yum to the extreme!!!

We came here to enjoy one of their famous burgers and instead received one of the worse services we’ve ever had. They were incredibly busy when we came in and we waited an hour to be seated. Once we were seated it took another 15 minutes to get menus. Apparently if you aren’t related to the family that owns this business, your ignored the entire way through your meal. Not only was the service terrible, the food wasn’t too far behind. We were served reheated fries, had to get someone for refills. But when it came to the Bill no time wasted.

Great wings and brew for the price, but unless your sitting at the bar, service is way too slow…

It’s good, fresh and fast. What more could you ask for? Oh, you want more? They care. Like, a lot. About the food they’re serving, the beer they’re serving, and the deserts that you don’t even think about if you’re on a diet.

Fish sandwich and onion rings was good. Got a little sticker shock when my bill was $ 11.21 and I got water to drink. The waitress was VERY nice but service was sloooooow. Our waitress was the only one and she got a 12 top and 4 tables at the same time right when we arrived so she was screwed with service time from the go. 15 minutes before drinks ordered so we ordered our food too. Another 10 minutes to get drinks(all non alcoholic). I don’t let that effect my tipping and she was super polite. All and all we were there an hour amd 40 minutes for lunch. They may want to have another waitress or 2 on at peak hours 11−2pm, 5−8pm because I’ve heard this one complaint a lot. But the bartender did finally step from the bar to help so kudos for team work! Good luck guys, I will be back.

I came in here for a lunch with my dad and fiancé, and have been here a few other times with various family members. This place is a good addition for the Elkhart area. I have tried the chicken wings twice, and they are really good. Hot, crispy with funky bleu cheese sauce. Their fish tacos are pretty solid, but on this recent visit I tried the chicken club sandwich. It was quite good with bacon, mayo, and a pretzel roll. My fiancé chose the BAD(breakfast all day sandwich) and really liked it. My dad got a burger, and it did not disappoint. Their menu seems to contain a good mix of options, and they do offer specials. Their drink menu offers local beers, microbrews, etc. I saw 3 Floyds, Great Lakes, Lagunitas, Rogue and Upland. This is a really good selection! I enjoyed a glass of pinot grigio(duh) and it was a nice pour. The actual restaurant contains a dining area, and also a bar area. I have only ever sat in the bar area, which is nice with two high booths tucked away behind the corner, and several bar seats. The staff is always friendly and helpful, but can be a bit slow at times.

Came here based on Unilocal rating and was not disappointed ! Fried Mozzarella was amazing the wife had a grilled chicken club she reported great! I had the burger of the month currently a double Brat Burger on a pretzel bun! Great atmosphere and décor! Only let down was the onion rings seemed frozen variety instead of home made!

This was my second visit and it was spectacular! The first visit I just met some friends for drinks and I will say that the atmosphere was lacking but I kept hearing people talk about how good the food was here so I decided to give it another go. My boyfriend and I had dinner here and we LOVED it. In my mind usually and burger is a burger and they are all generally the same but the Black Jack burger at Miles Lab is likely what the gods on Olympus are eating. There is also a pretty good selection of craft beer as well as your basic domestic drafts. The food was wonderful and the beer was delicious, I would give it 5 stars but I did feel that the atmosphere inside was a little sparse.

We finally made it to Miles Lab on a recent Saturday for dinner and were not disappointed. I debated between four and five stars and if there was an option, I would probably go with 4.5 stars. We arrived right around 7:00 and managed to get the last open booth. Service was a little slow, but it was a busy night and there were short a server. We didn’t mind and weren’t in a hurry. I was a little surprised by the atmosphere. For some reason, I expected a dark and cozy place, but this was bright and open. There is a nice bar area with a couple larger tables. They have a great beer selection on tap. My husband and I decided on the beer cheese and house made chips as an appetizer. The chips were perfect! I would have liked a little thicker consistency for the beer cheese, but the flavors were there. My husband ordered the mushroom and swiss burger with bacon added and subbed a pretzel roll in place of their standard ciabatta. He ordered his burger medium and it was cooked perfectly. Pretzel rolls tend to be a lot of dough, but this one was perfect — great pretzel roll texture on the outside, but much thinner and more flavorful than the average. Since we already sampled the chips, my husband opted for the onion rings as his side. It was obvious they were homemade with thick slices of onion and crispy batter. The only complaint was that the batter was really thick and kind of doughy in some places. I ordered the standard Kahuna burger with cheddar cheese. It was cooked a perfect medium well as ordered(amazing how many places can’t get this part right). I loved that they had Nathan’s deli mustard instead of the boring yellow mustard. I went with the sweet potato fries as my side and they were great. The fries were served with a sweet mayo-y type dipping sauce(I hate anything with mayo), but no sauce was needed. We couldn’t resist the desserts(homemade by the owners wife who is always changing it up). We decided to share the Nutella cheesecake, which was a huge serving and absolutely delicious. The portions were huge and we were completely stuffed. Prices are very reasonable — our appetizer, two burgers, four beers and dessert came to $ 52. Our server was very friendly and helpful. It was a little slow at times, but it was a busy Saturday night so it wasn’t an issue. This is definitely one of the best burgers we have found(so far) in the area. We look forward to going back and trying some of the other menu items(everything looked and sounded great!).
