Microtel Inns & Suites Elkhart

I think sometimes budget hotels don’t get the credit they deserve. This is a very nice hotel. My husband and I spent one night. The room was very well maintained, clean, and comfortable. Even though our room was right outside of the elevator, it was very quiet.
The breakfast is billed as a Continental breakfast but it really is more than that. They have the standard waffle maker, eggs, which were made to order, sausage, biscuits, muffins, cereals, bagels, juices, etc.
I interacted with several staff members and all were very nice and helpful. I needed to use the computer in the lobby but it was making some awful noises. The front desk woman told me I could come and use her computer, behind the desk because it works better than the lobby one. That was very nice of her.
Excellent location, right off of the Tollway. Grocery stores nearby, KMart, lots of restaurants, gas, etc.
We’ll stay here again the next time we are in Elkhart.

Very clean nice room, lots of towels, nice staff. Good breakfast options, coffee was weak but otherwise breakfast was good. Wish they had bedside lamps not just whole room lighting. Frig and microwave in the room

I like Microtel inn and suites because they make a 2 star hotel more like a 4 star hotel. I used to but now refuse to stay at a 1 star motel because of some disgusting experiences I’ve had, I’d rather pay a few extra dollars for a nicer hotel.
This Microtel is very modern, has an elevator, and rooms are very clean and spacious. Had laundry room. My room (a suite with one queen bed) was very spacious, clean and comfortable. All of the staff was very friendly. Has a sofa, counter and sink, microwave, refrigerator, flat screen tv, desk with 2 chairs, window and clean bathroom. Free calls and free wifi and free breakfast. Only downside no plug ins by the bed to plug your phone in while your sleeping. Discounts to restaurants like Applebee’s and Texas Roadhouse.
If I ever drive through again I will be back.

Not as good as the Microtel in Holland MI. But VERY c clean rooms and better value than a motel 6 or Fairfield.

Microtel Inn and Suites — Elkhart. Would stay here again if roadtripping through the area again. We got some rest, a good night’s sleep, a quick trip back to the interstate, and a continental breakfast. This place does more with less. You don’t have a desk attendant visible all of the time, but they’ll have a sign at the desk with directions on how to contact an attendant. I used the directions on the sign, dialed 0 from the front desk, and an attendant was with me in under 1 minute. The room was small, but lots of utility to the furnishings. Non-​smoking, queen bed, mini-​fridge, microwave, flat screen tv, free wifi, free local and long distance calls, quiet room, desk/​table top jutting out from wall and chair with plenty of floor space underneath. full bathroom, clean floors and carpets. Restaurants in walking distance, and coupons at desk for places like Texas Roadhouse. No complaints. Good stop to make if using I-​90/​I-​80 to traverse Indiana on way east or west. Discounts brought one night to less than $ 60.00 total, a-​f-​t-​e-​r taxes and fees were included. Tough to beat that.

This hotel would normally be a three star, but considering what the other options are it gets a four. This was actually the second hotel of the night in Elkhart and I feel pretty confident that if you’re staying in that town this is by far your best bet. It was everything you want in a hotel. Impeccably clean, quiet, with comfortable beds and a free breakfast. The hotel seems very new and has a nice modern look to it. There was free internet, which is a must on a road trip. Both people I spoke to at the front desk were helpful and friendly, even at 1:30 in the morning. Yes the breakfast is only a continental one, but it was perfectly fine. If you are passing through Elkhart, this is the best hotel you’re going to find there.

Things I wanted from a hotel during this trip 1) Cleanliness (I don’t want to see trash left from previous occupants, random hairs, etc. 2) The best bang for my buck.
I was happy at Microtel Inn & Suites. For $ 75/​night it was one of the best deals I could find that included breakfast and had a fridge/​microwave in the room. It’s a newer hotel so it’s modern and in good condition. Front desk staff were attentive and helpful with local directions.
I would bump my rating up to 4 starts if the breakfast were better than basic continental.
I would stay here again when in the area.
