Really like the ownership, we do business with this local branch. They were happy to set us up with the right coffee maker and beans. This was no surprise since I have been hanging out there many times taking a break and reading for fun in their lounge. Sometimes I would geek it up with my laptop.

The sort of coffee shop that has fliers for a quilt show and a comic map of where elk river, Mn is. It’s not urban chic. For a deep suburban coffee shop it has nice hours and the coffee is okay! I prefer it to the sbucks and caribou nearby. The people here are good fun, and the place is clean.
The low noise level is nice, and I like that they have plants from the ceiling.

The kind of coffee shop that feels like grandma’s house. With old hits on the radio being played too many times, a large round table for the elk river knights Templar, password protected wi-​fi, and locals discussing their neighbors, this is the place to be for bible study or suburbia gossip. Kinda the place where folks go after church to discuss how Peggy-​Sue fell asleep at the organ again.
If that’s not your thing, I’d get my coffee to go and find a more urban-​hipster place to hang your hat and put your boots up.

This is the best coffee shop in town. It is better than any local coffee shop you’ve been to even though it’s a chain because the staff care. They know everyone’s name and what drink you like. In sum the coffee is great and they take good care of their customers. It’s a great place to visit.

As someone who lives in Elk River I really want to support local business. Positive: the staff are awesome! Very friendly and cheerful. Not so good are the scones. What is it with these awful, stale scones that plague Elk River? Had a similar experience at Diamond City Bakery with their scones last week.

I love.. . returning home to the once-​sleepy town and having a reliable coffee «chain» that is a cut above all those other chains.
Good, friendly service from the high school crowd. Prefer the espresso drinks to Sbux & Caribou. Little creamier, smoother, and more character. Returned to area to move my mum out of state. Brings back good memories from school days on Snelling Ave in St. Paul. Hit this place 1 – 2 times per day over a 3 day weekend. Good cookies.
Had one drip coffee that tasted funky, late in day. I read on the cup sleeve that Dunn Bros are a bunch of «independently owned, local coffee shops.» where I’m from, we refer to those as franchises, but again, I’m a fan.

This is my favorite Dunn Bros location. Yes, I am probably biased, being from Elk River, but here they seem a lot more personable, and they always get my drink just right. I’ve never been unhappy with anything I have ordered here. I started going when I was in 7th grade, and I always come back during my summer breaks. They roast in shop, so you know your beans are fresh.
