Pouring rain down rain outside and these people think it’s a good idea to put flyers on wet windshields… Called three times no answer. Several of the flyers are just stuck to hoods of your car in the wet water making them impossible to read. Who’s bright marketing idea was this? 300 $ in wet flyers, do you guys even sell that much stuff in a day to cover that cost? Definitely never going to this dollar store.

I use to love this store I would go there instead of WalMart or other stores but this is my second bad experience. The clerks are friendly yes but once I went in to get some favors for a baby shower game. When I counted the items and found that the bag didn’t have 50 of the item as the label said. It had 43 the manager said. Well we are not like target they would charge you way more… ok but at least at target I get what I pay for. Not the response you’d expect from a new small business. Now today the«dollar store» is selling items for 7 dollars and up.

This dollar store is smaller than the one on Elk Grove Boulevard. I usually stop at that one but because I was on a mission today, I wanted to go to this one. I was looking for panda glasses because of a tip from a coworker, lo & behold; there they were! I was very pleased with myself and went on my merry way. I thought to myself; I doubt I would come here otherwise. Their selection seemed small although the store really isn’t far from me. I normally don’t do much shopping for novelty things as they just junk up the house nowadays. I’m in declutter mode as we plan to renovate the house. I have been watching too much HGTV! Shop here if you are looking for party supplies or right prior to Christmas. They usually have what you need at a lower cost amount. Now that’s music to my ears!!!

I ate lunch nearby so I decided to stop by this store for the first time. It was definitely not the usual Dollar Tree atmosphere — walls and shelves piled high with items that you are surprised(and maybe suspicious) only cost a dollar. JV Dollar Store looks empty, like someone bought every other item on the wall right before you walked in. They’ve got a whole party supply aisle, food(I didn’t dare search there, food at a dollar store is iffy), school supplies, pet aisle, kitchen stuff… even neck ties?! It’s a bit dull inside but surprisingly I bought a couple of things(it’s that darn $ 1 price tag): a set of pens for work and a cute dog collar with a bandana attached. I couldn’t resist! I don’t frequent dollar stores often, although I don’t know why because there are quite a few great deals. Regardless, I’ll probably choose Dollar Tree to ensure a wider variety of items.

The people who work here are very nice and pleasant. They always greet you. There isn’t much variety but it is a good place to grab and go.

Very pleased to check out this store after eyeing it on a couple occasions from the street. Although a bit smaller than a comparable«Dollar Store» franchise, it is well– stocked, and I was able to find some stuff(like mini-bungee cords, etc.) that are sometime out of stock at the larger dollar store. They saved my backside on Valentines Day as I had to make a last-gasp attempt to put together a decent gift showing for the wifey(bad husband…) The owner is very nice, and I do wish him luck with this store. It is independent, which allows for greater creativity in stocking product than being tied to a franchise.

Super small dollar store. Eh, rather go to the dollar tree instead. Although, I did get a few stockings and a small weekly planner. Better than nothing when you’re in a hurry and needing those last minute party supplies or whatnot.

Love this store! They are always so nice and helpful and it is so much more organized than other dollar stores. I’m so happy it’s close to our home in Lakeside. Way to go JV.

This JV Dollar Store is fairly new. I came here one day since I was in the area and wanted to check it out. If you know me, you’d know I’m a sucker for Dollar Stores and anything discounted! This DS is really small. It does carry what other DS’s carry but not as much. The gift bags section isn’t as big as the other DS’s gift bag/wrap section. The day I went, it was pretty under stocked. I did manage to buy myself a little standalone mirror, some containers and chips! The workers were really nice and helpful. There is a sign outside that says new items weekly so I’m going to have to go back and see what else I can buy! Check this place out if you’re in the area!

This place just opened about a month ago. I stumbled on this place on the way to Walgreens and thought I’d check it out. At first impression, it definitely looks to be a locally owned business. It’s smaller than the dollar tree but has very similar stuff. I like that they chose this location since there isn’t a dollar tree on this side of town. That’s nice since sometimes i just don’t feel like paying $ 3.50 for a balloon or gift bag. Everything is $ 1 of course. They actually offer some knick knacks that are different from the dollar tree. For example, I bought café curtain rods. That was awesome since they’re normally about $ 8 – 9 at walmart. I’m just hoping it doesn’t fall apart. I’ve never seen that sold at a dollar store before. I also got 10 kitchen sponges. They also sell jewelry and charm bracelets. Anyways, I will definitely return to see what random stuff this store has to offer.
