Not too satisfied with the entire process and end result. I was quoted just shy of $ 700 (based on my measurements) and ended up paying about $ 250 more because they had to charge for top soil (unexpected cost), bender boards (which I was originally going to provide), and a fuel surcharge. They came out and sprayed multiple times to kill our existing lawn. I was told they would scrap the surface of the existing lawn, but instead they just came out with a weed-​whacker. They didn’t level the surface and after the install, one section sinks down a bit. We also have an abundance of weeds already and the lawn has only been in now for close to 1.5 months. I’m disappointed with the end result. Also, I asked them to add bender board and they had the measurements. Well, they only purchased enough for one section and had to make a second trip to purchase more. They charged me fuel for the second trip. Really?! I understand that they didn’t charge me to install it, but if they had charged me, I would have raised a fit. The bender board isn’t even and is «wavy».
When I had mentioned some of my concerns, I was told, «well, we are only as good as the land we are working with». I guess that means they are crap, because that is what our ground looked like after they killed the existing lawn/​weeds. Prior to the job being completed, I even recommended them to my boss. He ended up with a bunch of un-​authorized charges placed on his credit card. When he called and asked what was up, they told him it was because the job was larger then they had expected. Rather than bringing a measuring tape when they provided the initial quote, they just guesstimated!
In closing, our front lawn is green now, but now I’m going to have to weed/​feed the hell out of it to get the weeds gone. I just hope that I didn’t waste $ 1000.
