I’ve only been to 2 other 5 guys locations(West Sac., Ca. & Flagstaff, Az), both places had excellent customer service & explained how it all works at 5 guys! I was very impressed with the amount of fries you get with your order & how delicious they were, the burgers were by far the best! I didn’t mind the expensive costs… about $ 13 for a burger, fries & drink. Today, I had bragged about 5 Guys so much, my son said lets go! We went to the Elk Grove location, customer service was barely ok, the guy taking our order walked away in the middle of taking it & another guy showed up to finish… they lost the order number, so my order must have sat there for a minute before someone else started calling out what was on my burger, until I recognized it as mine. When I got to the table… my fries were cold & soggy & there wasn’t even a full cup… wait where was the huge order I got from the other 2 locations, my soda was so flat we refilled it twice before settling on water, although we paid $ 2.50 for sodas… yeah, I was not impressed with this location! For charging that much for food & these guys going to get $ 15 an hour someday, I wish they’d put that behind every order they take, each burger they make… if I’m to pay more for something I want it to reflect the price or what is the sense of going back?

Five guys. A place that exemplifies the point that democracy doesn’t work. Not in business, not in food. Karl Karcher? He called the shots. Maybe Margaret did but it was one of the two. The burger King? He is a monarch, what more can I say. It’s like five stoned frat boys sat around a hot plate roasting burnt hot dogs and drinking stale malt liquor when the conversation turned to «Brah, let’s totally start a burger joint!» «Right on bro!» «Like, what are we going to serve broshe?» «Burgers, dogs and fries brajjah.» «Broficity, like, that totally sounds like a lot of work.» Drink up dudes, let’s see your business plan in the morning. Look, I have some positive things to say about the place. The staff is friendly. The restaurant is clean. They do a decent job of lettuce wrap. Let’s get that out of the way. But, here’s the thing. Okay, I don’t eat fries. The only side they have is fries. Fine, I’m good with that. I came for the burgers. What do I get, the big burger or the little burger? I like big burgers. But, I’m not having fries so maybe I’ll get two smaller instead of one bigger. Really, a «burger» is a double, and a «small burger» is a single, both the same size patties. A «small» bacon cheeseburger is $ 6.99. Seven bucks. So they must be big patties. Gee, should I just get one? Nah I’ll get two. They have a healthy choice of toppings. I asked for onion, mayo, tomato, pickles, mustard and green pepper. The burgers come in a bag, wrapped in foil. I guess they come that way whether you take them to go or eat there. I unwrapped it. Where’s the beef? It was an agonizingly small patty for the price. I really needed a double. Two of them. That would have been upwards of seventeen bucks. For the same thing I could have gotten at Habit or Inn & Out for almost half the price. No, that’s not accurate, both of those make better tasting burgers. All right, it wasn’t a horrible burger. It was okay. It was just… lacking. I moved on to the second, and realized there was a couple tubs of white stuff in the bag. And some packets of ketchup. Then I realized that was the mayo that I ordered on my burger. I’m not sure why there were bags of ketchup, but I did notice there was no mustard on them either. WTF. I just payed fourteen bucks for two burgers and I have to somehow figure out how to glop tubs of mayo on them and plus there were bags of ketchup if I wanted them. I would have been perfectly FINE with that setup if I had grabbed the burgers out of the hot serving section of AMPM. But at seven bucks a pop? Come on, man.

Free peanuts, and an endless combination of burger selections. Their food is outstanding, and priced fairly. A very welcome place to eat in Elk Grove. I personally am fond of a double with bacon, mushrooms, and bbq sauce. Unhealthy? Yeah, but you didn’t walk into a burger joint expecting anything less did you?

I don’t consider myself a buger expert, but for the price, you could definitely get better. Burgers are thin, and just OK. There really isn’t anything that stands out about this place. It wasn’t awful, but wasn’t great either.

When I think about it, I don’t think I’ve ever been disappointed by a visit to Five Guys. I love the fact that you can build your own creation at no extra cost and all of the toppings are very good. I love that you can get hot sauce too. I know that’s random, but when you add the hot sauce it makes the burger even better. I also really like the amount of fried they give you. A small feels like you could feed a family of 5 with it(exaggerating, but it really is a lot of fries). The soda is always superb and the staff is ALWAYS friendly. Restaurant is always clean as well. My favorite combinations is cheese burger with ketchup, mayo, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, and hot sauce. Always a good choice and I never regret coming to Five Guys!

Food is so fresh and delicious. The customer service is excellent. Very upbeat and accommodating staff. The only bad thing is the price but that doesn’t keep me from coming.

Five guys is definitely one of my fav places to get burgers. They have many toppings to choose from. Their Cajun fries are bomb and they always give extra fries in the bag! In addition, they have great customer service. The workers have been extremely friendly on every visit. One of the workers upgraded our regular drink to a large drink for free last time :)

Quick service, fresh burger items, good fries and quite a variety of soft drinks. Seemed a bit pricey since the last time I visited a Five Guys but not sure. Quick service. They were having problems with their soda machines today; was able to get some soda. When I went back for a refill, machines weren’t working. Manager yelled out to his employees to not sell anymore sodas. Some people had not been able to get drinks and left with out. There didn’t seem to be the forethought of the manager or employees to refund the $$. My entire meal cost almost $ 14: small fry, single burger with cheese and bacon and a drink; a bit pricey.

Mediocre and overpriced. Bacon on the burgers was dry, crunchy and cold, like bacon that was overcooked and left to sit around for a few hours before I ate it. The rest of it was nothing special. Overall, it was no better than the two-for-$ 6 western bacon cheeseburgers at Carl’s. Fries coulda done w. about 50% less salt. My cousin’s kid and I each had the single-patty bacon cheeseburger, we split a regular order of fries and split a large drink. Spending almost $ 23 for that felt high, which I could have lived with if the quality matched the price, but we could have spent about half that at Carl’s or In-N-Out and had food that was at least as good. In-N-Out pulverizes this place.

Im sorry but what the hell is this? It tasted so cheap, hotdog bun was soggy. Presentation and the quality of the food was just terrible. I was so disappointed when i got my food.

I had not been able to visit Five Guys in a long time and like a good burger so we decided to stop by. The service, as remembered in this particular location, was excellent. I was surprised to see the menu was broader and included various milk shakes. For the sake of not falling too far off the diet track, we settled on sharing a chocolate milk shake with strawberries. The taste was mediocre and actually tasted like fake, synthetic strawberry. It was extremely sweet yet the consistency was appealing. The burger not only was more expensive than I last remember(a $ 2 – 3 difference) I found it subpar when compared to other local burger joints. The meat was simple yet tasty. Definitely better than McDonalds but not as good as Smash IMHO. The fries are phenomenal, as remembered. We ordered seasoned cajun fries that I love. A big selling point is that they are fried with peanut oil, a healthier alternative to other methods and I love them. Give them a try if in the area. All in all, we spent over $ 30 on 2 adult, 1children’s burger, two fries, and a milk shake. I felt it was too expensive for what we got but the service, cleanliness, and fries may make this a good experience for you. Want my recommendation? Go to Smash burger or, better yet, go to Dads Kitchen downtown and have the burger of your life!

Toppings at no charge, the option of seasoned fries, and yummy burgers ! Oh, and peanuts if you’re into that. If I’m craving a yummy burger, I’ll come here and get a cheeseburger with bacon, bbq sauce, mushrooms, and jalapeños. I know, it may seem like something a pothead or frat boy would come up with, but, It’s customized to my liking and tastes amazing each time . The seasoned fries are a hit or miss but they’re still yummy. A kid in my psych class works here and skipped class one day. He asked me to sign roll for him, I did it under one condition. I told him if I did, he’d have to get me fries from here :) he came through! So, next time someone asks you to sign roll for them in class, do it because you just might get free fries out of it :)

This restaurant is awesome! The burgers are delicious and the service is super fast. We went to Five Guys for lunch and each got a burger. I got a regular cheese burger and my husband got a mini cheeseburger. I should have gotten the mini! The mini burger is really not mini at all its a very good size. We will be back!

Wonderful food, great service, awesome prices, and peanuts! The burgers are definitely good sized, and prepared well, to your liking. Although there is no option for a less-than-well-done patty, they manage to keep it juicy and tasty nonetheless. The fries are delicious and made right there out of actual whole potatoes. And for the short wait for your meal, there’s neverending peanuts to keep you busy. Service is always great too. Friendly, helpful and cheerful.

I haven’t been here in a while, but I realized after today’s visit that Five Guys’ burgers are underrated. You never hear someone say«I wanna grab a burger real quick… I’m going to Five Guys.» It’s usually Carls Jr, In n Out, Mcdonalds… you get my point. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and the place was packed and line was almost out the door. Standing in line allowed us to decide what toppings we wanted on our burgers. For mine, I went with a little cheeseburger(single patty) with grilled onions, mayo, ketchup, and lettuce. Had to grab a side of Five Guys fries as well. The prices are reasonable. Ranging from about $ 5 – 7 per burger, depending on bacon or no bacon, single or double patty. However, it’s not exactly the most filling burger. I was able to finish my whole burger plus fries, and I’m usually the one who always takes leftovers home. I probably could have eaten another half of a burger too. But with that said, the burger is delicious! The cheese is perfectly melted, and the buns are toasted but soft. It’s not the most picture perfect burger, as you can see from my photos, and it’s also not the cleanest burger to eat, but again, it’s delicious. And about the fries — we ordered the«little» size and they practically threw double the amount inside the bottom of the bag, nice! Definite plus, which makes up for the minor mess up during my visit: no lettuce on my burger! It was definitely entered in the computer because they have a printed receipt of the order taped to your bag. However, lettuce was nowhere to be found! I thought they would remake my burger but instead they just handed me lettuce in a container. Service was efficient and welcoming considering they had a long line during our entire visit. I also noticed there were five girls(and one guy) working, which I found ironic considering their name. Not that that makes any difference in service of course! I’ll definitely come back more often now that I have been reminded how good their burgers are! They are definitely on the top of my list for fast food burgers.
