Great, fresh food at fair prices. You can find any and all produce you’d want, farm-fresh eggs, local wines, honey, pretzel baked goods, and more! The only drawback is that it’s held in an already over-saturated parking lot. It’d be nice to have more parking available around the market.

I like our Certified Farmers Market. Yes it is small, but It’s bigger then 10 booths! It always has at least 20. I don’t need 10 different booths selling the same produce. I wish it was bigger, but it is what it is. As I grow my own food I depend on it for the things I don’t grow like corn and potatoes that take up to much garden space. What is for sale is very fresh and you are supporting family farms. On the down side they are located in the Sprout’s Farmers Market parking lot. Many times the produce in Sprout’s is also fresh and better priced. But, still I like to support the small family farms.

Every once in a(long) while, I’ll wake up early enough on a Saturday morning to make it to the local farmer’s market in the parking lot right outside of Sprouts. It’s an itty-bitty, teeny-weeny market with about 10ish stalls all together so don’t carve out a huge chunk of your morning to come visit. That’s not to say that the produce isn’t fantastic, when it’s in season. In May, you’ll find some of the sweetest strawberries(just look for the only stall with a long line). Even the tiny ones are delicious! In July and August, you can find huge peaches and nectarines that can barely fit into your palm for only $ 2/lb. Considering that the closest farmer’s market used to be in midtown, I’m quite happy that this one is so much closer — even if it’s not as grand as other farmers’ markets.

When you get here don’t wonder why everyone is lining up for the strawberry man in the front. Just get in line and buy your basket. The best strawberries ever grown await.

Yes its small but if you come for fruit and veggies you really dont need anything fancy. I wish more people would support local farmers. We juice, and I get everything I need for juicing throughout the week and it’s way less expensive then the grocery store.

This is one of the smaller Farmer’s Market in Sacramento County but honestly they all do not need to be huge. The crowds are pretty small so it works. This market is located in the parking lot of Sprouts and Sports Authority. We love to ride our bikes over and purchase local fruits and veggies from the local vendors. Everything is very fresh and all the vendors are willing to answer questions. I can always find basil, all kind of spicy peppers, onions, chives, eggs and new stuff I have never cooked with before. Sometimes there is a vendor selling fish and beef. This market is open Year Long! It is a nice small market for fellow Elk Grovians.

This farmers market has grown to about 20 vendors over the past year! More organic and pesticide free vendors than I am used to seeing which I appreciate. Honey, nuts, eggs, grass fed lamb, beef and lots of flowers. It is still on the smaller side but absolutely worth the visit. A favorite Saturday morning stop of my family.

This is a Saturday market in front of Petsmart. There are probably around 10 vendors with seasonal produce, nuts, beans, and the occasional pets-mobile from the local SPCA comes to tantalize you with cute homeless rabbits, cats and dogs. It’s not huge but there are gems to be found, and the vendors are very nice.

Like the previous reviewer stated, this place is SMALL. There are no prepared food vendors, which is a major bummer, because who doesn’t love a breakfast burrito or delicious fruit pastry while they browse?. There doesn’t ever seem to be much in the way of fruit here, and the fruit I *have* bought has been pretty hit and miss. Late summer is the best time to come. You’ll find tons of tomatoes, cucumber, squash, eggplant, basil, etc. We actually usually just come for a couple of pounds of cherry tomatoes. A basket of ripe cherry tomatoes in the store is $ 4 – 5; you can get a basket here for $ 1. I usually buy three baskets since my kids eat most of them on the way home! I’ve never bought eggs or honey at this f.m., but I see them every Saturday, along with a flower booth or two. Overall, if you’re looking for some fresh veggies or tomatoes, this is a great place to spend a few minutes on the weekend.

It’s a little farmers market in Elk Grove. Weeee. It’s small. Really small. Like the people in the booths could have peach fights and always be in throwing range. Soo, it’s small and pretty no-frills(bands, food vendors ect.), but you can still find the in-season treats. Come for the produce, not to be seen like some other farmers markets. And then after you can finish your shopping at Henry’s.
