So stoked my stylist is here now! Tina is the only one that gets my hair right. I would highly recommend her if you are looking for someone.

Hair style by Summer at Envy Salon today. Brought her pictures of what I wanted and didn’t want. She made it happen. Was easy to talk to and accommodating. Happy camper!

Wherever Courtney goes, we follow. I’ve been getting haircuts from her for over 5 years now.
What I like most is that she will be up front and honest with you regarding your hair. Give some ideas and she’ll bounce a few back. I have never been disappointed. G has been going to Courtney for even longer!
The conversations we have during our appointments are epic… never boring. It makes for a stress free haircut and leaving with a smile on your face.
She will also work late hours to fit you in if you have a difficult schedule. Awesome blossom… super duper 5 stars.

Went last week for the first time. I saw the Unilocal reviews and although some weren’t so kind, they were not rating the service. I gave Courtney a try. She’s funny, personable and she’s a GREAT LISTENER. One thing I loved about Courtney was she asked what I Don’t Like about my current hairstyle; we went from there. I am a different breed of customer as I truly care what the hairstylist thinks about my hair type when choosing a hair style. I can’t wear every style nicely, so Courtney’s expertise was important. Anyway, Courtney was honest and gave suggestions. Since my hair was butchered by the last stylist, Courtney understood how important hair length is to me and she is helping me grow out my butchered hair. She made it perfectly clear that in doing so, I would have to have some patience and live with an almost perfect style. I love Courtney — great cut for what she had to work with, a fun visit (she’s funny), I didn’t feel rushed, she took her time AND there was not a high upsell feel to the place. Overall — EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE and I already have my next appointment scheduled. :)

Summer does a great job every time!

I’ve been going to Envy Salon & Spa ever since it opened. John and Paula are very accommodating and professional. They are also very flexible when it comes to scheduling. The shop is always clean and pristine when I come in, regardless of the day or time.

I am happy going to Envy Salon and Spa. Courtney does my hair, and I have no complaints. People have to find the place that works for them. I have been very pleased with the results of my hair and so I will continue to go here. I always feel comfortable in Courtney’s chair as we laugh, talk, joke, etc. She’s a great stylist and I do believe she has passion in her work.

This place is «OK.» I love their selection of Kerastase products, however, their service is too «uptight.» They seem to think that they are a high end salon servicing celebrities in Beverly Hills or sometihng like that. I agree with Diana K. that the shop owner, Jon, is rude. He seems to act like he’s hot shiz and that he’s the «owner,» deeming himself too good for you to talk to. He walks around the place and ignores friendly smiles or chats from clients as if, we are below his pedestal. Also, they seem to tell me there that my hair is ALWAYS damaged. No matter how meticulous I am with my hair (as in only washing every 3 days, cold water, kerastase sh & con, weekly deep conditioning, no heat styling products, no color, trim regularily) it is NEVER good enough. Courtney has always been the one to do my hair. I feel like she is «OK» at color, but EXCELLENT at cutting. She seems to know just how hair will fall if it is cut a certain way. I have always been told I have a great haircut and she is the one I have to thank for that. She is on vacation alot so it is hard scheduling with her, but I understand she needs to have a life too. The whole atmosphere of the place gives off the vibe that everyone there thinks they are better than their clients (or they hate their job). I am always made to feel unappreciated, that I SHOULD do business there. Courtney is a great stylists so I continue to just deal with it, but, after so many years of going there, sadly I had to make a change. Customer Service speaks for itself and you can definately tell when someone likes what they do, and when they dont. This place, reflects unhappy employees. I wish the best of luck to anyone who goes to this salon.

This review deals with customer service only. Something I place great value in. Apparently John feels that his clients can sit and wait for him — as long as need be — if he is busy chatting with a customer. He doesnt understand that it is RUDE and disrespectful If he runs over into your appointment time (by ½ an hour!). And he seemed suprised and confused when I explained how angry his disrespect made me feel. There are WAAAAY too many salons that value your business to waste your time with a salon that doesnt.

Didn’t book an appointment and walked in to see if they any time for me, lucky for me they did! One of the stylists Courtney stayed late for me and I described what I wanted, she was really nice and listened to what I wanted and the haircut and colour turned out PERFECT!!! Highly recommended this stylist and salon! Really nice people who work here and will be going back in 6 weeks! Thank you so much!!!

I am really surprised to see that there is only two stars for this place. Because I have seen two star salons and this is not one of them. I go to Courtney who is amazing and will bend over backwards for her customers. I moved to San Diego for College and she is still the only one who I will let touch my hair. She always finds time to fit me in when I come home. My mom also loves going to her. My mom has naturally great grey hair and Courtney always finds a way to enhance it. She does a great job of making you hair look great now and two months from now. If there is one down side to Courtney at all is that she likes to travel so sometimes it might be hard to book and appointment but at least when she comes back you have one extra thing to talk about.
I really can’t speak for the other two bad comments, Courtney’s grandmother really did pass away as see by her reply. As for the Groupon, I don’t know. I guess you get what you pay for.
Anyways if you are looking for a place to get your hair cut go here! Best place in the Sacramento Area!

The worst! Bought a groupon for a Brazilian Blow Out and was told I would have to upgrade to get the real thing! Yeah, he actually said with a straight face that they just came out with the «plant» based Brazilian Blowout, and that it isnt any good. And that if I want the original I’d have to pay for the upgrade. If the plant based wasn’t any good, why were they offering it? More importantly, the GROUPON made no mention of the fact that it was anything but the regular Brazilian Blowout. AND they failed to mention this when I called for an appointment. Only after taking the morning off from work, driving out to elk grove (45 minutes for me and four gallons of gas round trip) did they deem it necessary to mention that the product they sold me for $ 125 really doesnt work! Do people really fall for this crap? Bait and Switch is what it is. I got a refund from GROUPON and I hope this place goes out of business, cause they surely treat their customers as marks. Shame on you.

My girlfriend brought me here almost a year ago and I’ve been a faithful client ever since. I was hesitant at first walking into a chic salon (as most guys would be). I met Chris who is a great stylist and he takes his time making sure my haircut is perfect each and every time. I go in every two weeks like clockwork because my hair grows so quickly. Everyone at Envy is really nice. Thanks Chris!!!

Not a pretentious place – very nice and easy going salon. Ana G. is great… I have curly hair and she knows what to do with it! She’s very sweet, and she gives a great hair cut. And she does a great job blowing out my curly hair with a round brush and blow dryer (not a flat iron). It comes out so smoothly! Unbelievable :)
