My girlfriend and I purchased a used older hot tub that needed some parts. So we went in there talked to Skipper Who looked at what we needed wrote down our information and said he would call us back. This was the night of thunder over Louisville because he proceeded to tell us how he spent $ 18,000 on a table for 10 at the Galt House Riverside to view the fireworks. He said he would call us back the next day and never did. So I waited until Thursday, April 28 called him and some girl answered the phone took my information and said he would call me back. Next day still no callback called again same girl answers takes my information and said he would call me back never called me back. Here’s the bottom line on this asshole. As far as pool and spa sales and service he’s the only game in town and he knows it and doesn’t give a shit. He’s too busy catering to all the doctors and lawyers and the other rich and not so famous people of Elizabethtown with their fancy hot tub’s and big pools and unless you know exactly what you need in his store he has no time whatsoever to interact or help a regular customer like myself just needing some parts or whatever. Let’s face it he didn’t come up with $ 18,000 to drop on a table for thunder over Louisville cleaning out kiddie pools in the projects. Unless you’re one of the cities elite he has no time for you whatsoever. Go to a another company in Louisville and stay as far away from this creep as possible!

The following was my Facebook post concerning Skippers Pool and Spa: In August I went into Skippers Pool and Spa to look at pool covers. They showed us a sample of a brown hurricane easy dome pool cover. At that time we ordered and paid in full. We picked our cover up earlier this week. Yesterday we opened the cover as we was in the process of closing the pool. Upon opening we found a blue typhoon pool cover instead of a brown hurricane cover. After calling Skippers we was informed there would be an additional cost of almost $ 200, which also includes a restocking fee. How can a business show and sale you a certain item that you agree to purchase, then order a different item and expect you to pay a restocking fee plus additional purchase cost? They had priced the same cover twice to me and has never discussed any cover other than the brown hurricane. As a business owner myself, I strive to provide excellent customer service. Skipper Pools must not value their customers in the same way I do. In the future I will be purchasing my pool supplies elsewhere. A few days later during a Facebook conversation with my adult children, skippers agreed to take the cover back without a restocking fee. I decided to accept their offer to return without a restocking fee and I was going to pay the additional charge for the cover that they had originally sold me. I do understand there is a cost differance in the one they showed to me and I had agreed to purchase and the cheaper one they actually ordered. Upon trying to contact Skippers on Facebook to thank them for their reconsideration of the stocking fee and tell them I would pay the additional cost for the cover they originally sold to me, it was discovered that I and my entire family have been blocked by Skippers Pool and Spa. Another fine example of Skippers Pool and Spa customer service.
