Red Rose Motel

For what it is, an inexpensive motel it was fine. Clean, comfortable within reason and allowed pets.

We’ve stayed here twice. Based soley on the first visit I would give 2 or 3stars. But this time it’s definitely a 1.
The first room (first visit) was kind of gross but mostly just bland. It did the job because we were only there for sleeping. It was run down but not too nasty.
This visit. Well about 2 months ago we reserved a non smoking room. Side note: I have mild asthma and terrible allergies. 4 days before we are set to stay there we get a call that they only have smoking rooms left. What the heck is the point of reserving a room if it isn’t reserved?! Well we couldn’t really say anything because we needed a place to stay. So we were stuck with a smoking room. They didn’t even compensate. We still paid the same for a room we didn’t reserve. Now on too of this… This room is the most disgusting room I have ever been in. The lighting was so poor that you couldn’t see much, but when the door was open you could see the yellow walls and the dirt all over the door area. Now the second you walk into the room you’re instantly choked up because the smell of cigarettes is the thickest I’ve ever experienced. Instantly we both had headaches and I after an hour in the room I was coughing so bad I was afraid I would have an asthma attack. I haven’t had one in about 8 years. We left our clothes in the car because we didn’t want them to smell of smoke.
I can never come back here. The price is so not worth it.
