Stopped in, place didn’t look too busy, got a seat and waited. And waited. 20 minutes later, no drinks, no silverware, no greeting, nothing. We packed it in and headed elsewhere. Good may be excellent but we’ll never know.

I love the veggie plate! It’s really just your choice of 3 sides. My usual choices are beans, sweet potato fries & the pasta salad. The burgoo is tasty & comes with a corn muffin. If you have to wait for takeout, they offer a complimentary drink which is nice. One of the staff suggested I try the cornbread salad. It was good, will definitely order again. My family loves the pulled pork and brisket. The inside is usually clean. The service is prompt and polite.

Marks feed store is on point. The BBQ is very good and I particularly like their mustard based sauce. The fried pickles are also an excellent choice and they have some amazing red potato salad. Prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is good and the service is always friendly. If you are a fan of BBQ than this is a good place to stop.

This new location is a worthy addition to the chain. The ribs were perfect and the wait short. It’s located in an odd spot thanks to odd/confusing parking layout but otherwise it is a little stark inside. The staff are very very good indeed. I just wish they would open one in Bowling Green since there is no viable BBQ in that town.

The restaurant manager is extremely nice and accommodating. He is also super supportive of local schools. Food was great.

This was my first time visiting Marks Feed. The place is very clean and the waitress and server are very professional and polite. I encounter a few problems with my food but my Waitress Autumn was so professional and nice. She ensures my stay was pleasant and comfortable. The manager came over and talked to me and I told him he has a great staff and I was very please of my service. He asked me if this was my first one here and I said yes, then he said he as going to give me a slice of pie nc it was my first time here. Again the place gives a very warm welcoming and I will be back. Kudos to Autumn for a job well done.

Have been here several times with good results. Today service is very slow. Server is apologetic but doesn’t help a slow kitchen.

Let me start off by saying I might have given a four star rating but the fifth is to whittle away at the low ratings from people whose complaints include their straw wrappers not being removed from the table in a timely enough fashion. It is a friggin’ BBQ place for god sakes! Ok on to the review: We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server(Autumn) was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. My girlfriend(writing this on her account) got Honeywings, sweet potato fries, and a side salad. And I got a pull pork sandwich, spicy fries, and coleslaw. I tried some of everything except her salad and everything was wonderful. My only slight complaint was my sandwich was a little on the dry side as it came to the table. But that is what the three bottles of delicious sauces were for. Her wings were the best I have ever eaten anywhere and so were her sweet potato fries. The maple sugar on them was wonderful. I can’t wait to go back and try other things I saw on the menu. It was a lot of food for the price. As others have stated in their reviews a manager came out to talk to us and upon finding out it was our first time there we were each given a piece of pie. We were also given a card good for 15% off any visits within the next month and a bottle of their BBQ sauce. I have been to better restaurants but it was less food for more money and it was further away. If you are looking for a good amount(we were so full we took the pie to go) of good food for a decent price in Elizabethtown — look no further.

This was my first time dinning at Mark’s Feed Store and I will definitely be back. I got the honey bbq wings, Mac and cheese, and corn on the cob and my dad ordered the bbq pork, corn, and baked beans. Each meal came out hot, yummy, and in a timely manner. You also get your moneys worth here. Both me and my dad had food left to take home. Another plus was the staff and management. Our waitress was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We were also celebrating my birthday and she had a conversation with me about my birthday and told me happy birthday at least twice. The manager also came by the table and talked to us and made sure we had everything we needed.

Excellent customer svs. On tdy here for couple days and stopped by due to the good recommendations. They have free desert Mondays so always a plus. Also since the manager heard we have never been to one of these and we are just passing threw he gave us free sample bottles of their excellent bbq sause for the road. Fried pickles pretty good and everything else very tasty.

So not the first time we have been there. Got the ribs and they are fall off the bone. The sides need some help. I’m all about BBQ and southern food but get some vegetables. The sweat potato was over done and my side salad was an added charge. I also took off a star for only military discount on one day. Suggestion: get squash casserole and fried okra.

My wife and I ate lunch here today and I’m regretting that decision immensely. The restaurant was clean, if somewhat lackluster in its’ décor. The staff were friendly and apart from not clearing my straw wrapper and empty sugar sachets off the table until the very end of the meal, our waitress was very pleasant and personable. The best part of our meal was the«birds nest» appetizer, which was some honey wings on onion straws. The wings were cooked perfectly and the straws were flavourful, if somewhat tricky to eat. I ordered the pork dinner with coleslaw and spicy fries. My wife ordered the brisket with mac and cheese and coleslaw. Firstly, I was immediately suspicious of the very thin yet very dark red«smoke ring» on the pork. There was no smoke flavour at all on that pork, so it looks like they’re dying their meat in food colouring. The same went for the brisket which looked and tasted and fell apart like pressed brisket. It tasted like warmed up, pressed roast beef that you would buy at the deli counter for sandwiches. The coleslaw was edible and looked like it’s made on the premises. The fries were pretty blah and the mac and cheese tasted like kraft out of the box. I understand that actually smoking your meat takes time and requires hiring people that know what they are doing, but that’s why it’s called BBQ. If you’re just going to oven roast your pork and buy pressed/water etc added brisket, then don’t call it BBQ.

Always great food and so is the service. Potato salad and onion straws are the best. The pork BB taste great. I totally recommend this place for great food and the prices are great too. We eat at Marks at least twice each month.

Yum! Everything we ordered was great and service was fast & friendly. Manager even offered us first timers free pie and bbq sauce! Wish this location had a more authentic feel and less strip — mall feel(we’ve been to the original location in an old feed store). But otherwise, highly recommended!

Great food, the server knew all the ingredients in the Burgoo… Which is very good. The meat just fell off of the ribs. The pork, and chicken were excellent as well. The sauces on the table were great(didnt have the HOT, since I dont like HOT). My wife got the Fried Sweet Corn, which was very good as well. The manager came around and asked us how it was, we told him we are from Chicago, and we were down for the Bourbon Trail, and this was our first time here. He made sure we were happy with everything(which we were). He chatted with us for 3 – 4 minutes, and since we were first timers, we each got a free slice of buttermilk pie, which is very good by the way. I also had a beer, I think it was Marks Barndoor Brew? But it was an AWESOME amber beer that went with the BBQ, very well. All in all, it was a very good place, and when we come back next year, we will stop in again.

Stopped in today. First time I had been to this new location. It was clean and comfortable. I ordered a chicken bbq sandwich. It was ok. A bit dry. I added the«red» bbq sauce to the sandwich and it helped. The sauce is a bit too sweet but I wasn’t a fan of the yellow original sauce. Cole slaw was fresh and crisp, but just average in flavor. The«spicy» fries were just salted with seasoned salt, nothing spicy about them. Portions were on the large side, but not crazy. Good value. Overall, food was average. Nothing to complain about, but nothing to get excited about. Food for the masses. Server was good, she kept my diet Coke filled. Not sure if I will return. I really only stopped because I went to kohl’s and it is across the street.

You know, I remember this being a lot better a few years ago at a different location further up on Dixie. I got the full rib dinner with cornbread salad and red potato salad. The cornbread salad was decent, the red salad was creamy and bland-not my thing. Supplementing it with black pepper made it acceptable. The ribs. I consider myself a connoisseur, I travel the country. Texas, Carolinas, Memphis, Kansas City, Tennessee all with some frequency. I’m picky, you may not be. Ribs were bland no matter what style you like. That’s fine, they provide sauces on the table. But the meat wasn’t very good quality either. Tastes like it was cooked in a pressure cooker or a oven, no flavor. The fat marbling wasn’t good, not moist or flavorful enough to make it worth working off the bone if it wasn’t falling off. Honestly, I believe ribs at krogers deli up the road are superior, or get prepackaged pre-sauced and throw them on the grill and pretend you cooked them. However you cut it, Mark’s ribs would be politely ignored by the judges any barbecue festival I’ve ever been to. Girlfriend had brisket combo. I’m not a brisket man but to me brisket is tender and smoky and with enough fat content to make it feel like you are eating delicious smokey meaty buttered super tender soft beef jerky. The brisket here didn’t meet my criteria. It wasn’t fatty enough to be tender and no smoke flavor. Her sweet potato fries had cinnamon sugar and were pretty good. Service was good. Portions were good. Restaurant clean. It was already 830pm so maybe I got there too late. For barbecue i won’t be returning soon, I’ll try somewhere else or make my own.

While traveling in Kentucky we were looking for somewhere to have dinner. We passed Mark’s Feed Store & hubby teased about going to get some grain & oats. I looked this up on Unilocal and saw that it had no stars, but the building looked brand new. So we stopped. It’s a BBQ restaurant. Family friendly. Our waitress greeted us warmly. We told her we were never here and chuckled about the name. Martha explained about the restaurant, shared her items that she like and recommended the fried corn on the cob. My hubby had the ribs and fried corn. I had the brisket, salad with spicy ranch dressing. We shared a basket of corn bread. Everything was really good. Near the end of our meal the manager came over and welcomed us. Being it was our first time ever to a Feed Store we were given a free bottle of BBQ sauce to take home. He also gave us each a free dessert of their Buttermilk pie. This pie reminded us of Philadelphia Butter Cake, absolutely decadent! Next time in Kentucky we will stop back.

Exactly for what I hoped. Meat fell off the bone so I never picked up my knife. Comfortably sat at the bar. Krystal knew everything about the menu. I took all her recommendations and glad I did.
