I absolutely love this spot. I usually order the Mariscada with a pitcher of white sangria. I enjoy their sangria. The waiters are very attentive, and usually offers shots at no charge if we spend over 50. Love it

Restaurant is consistent in it’s authentic Portuguese food. Best red Sangria around. Service is always friendly and never a long wait. One of the best restaurants in Elizabeth.

I came here in September with my family. Some of my other family members frequent this place and raved about it. I was not disappointed! The food is delicious. The sangria is SOGOOD! The service is excellent. A little slowly paced, but I think it just added to the experience. I had the shrimp in garlic sauce, highly recommend it. I hope to return here again soon!

I ordered a blue rare steak and they brought be a medium rare with that was burnt on the outside. Service was good. The only reason I didn’t complain was because I was using a coupon. The atmosphere was nice but I wouldn’t go back.

I have mixed feelings about this place. Food was good and service was quick but it was overpriced.

Let me start off by saying that you should stay away if you’re going there for lunch. I had a coupon to use there which turned out to be a horrible idea. A lot of hidden fine print to use it and when I mean hidden I mean it’s made up conditions on the waitress’s part. We get there and get a very rude middle aged woman to serve us who acted almost as if we were wasting her time. Aside from the horrible demeanor and welcome the food was decent and came out quick. The sangria was sub par and the waitress had the nerve to include her tip on to the bill because of our coupon which states no such condition. But worse of all the food is wayyyyy too overpriced. Listen there are many other Portuguese restaurants to choose from in this area. Stay away from this one do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time.

I’ve been coming to this place for years. Foods great, really fresh, service is good. The only downside is they are not very card friendly, I had a large party here for a graduation dinner and long and behold, a day and age where no one carries cash. Europa’s gave us a hard time about it, moral of the story, for large groups have cash handy.

This was a nice place to stop and grab a meal. The service was great. The waiter/bartender was attentive, fast, and very friendly. I opted for one of their specials. I had the breaded pork filet with rice and red beans. The pork was perfectly breaded with the right amount of seasoning. The rice and beans were like any other Portuguese style restaurant. I had the cookies and cream dessert, and it was pretty good. I would say the 4th star is for the sangria. The red sangria is definitely a winner. Overall, I would give this place a solid 3.5. The parking lot is pretty small.

This gem is hidden right in my neighborhood. Whether I get take out or dine in, the food is delicious! My go to dish is Chicken in Garlic Sauce which comes with 3 pieces of chicken, mash potatoes and either brocolli, green beans or homemade chips depending on the day. Its an amazing dish. Its super simple and the garlic sauce is always on point. I have gotten the diff steaks before and they are always huge and juicy. This last time I went, we got oysters. Usually when I go the oysters are sold out so you can imagine how excited I was. These oysters were huge! They tasted so yummy too. I definitely recommend the oysters! Another plus is the sangria here. Be sure to get a pitcher of red sangria. Its always strong and sweet. I love it Best part of dine in is the free shot of liquor at the end. Def check this rest out if you are craving Portuguese food. You won’t regret it.

This is the first review I’ve written ever. I felt compelled to write one because after reading all of the good reviews I was anticipating a fantastic meal. I was extremely disappointed. I had the garlic chicken which was ok. Plain. Definitely not worth the $ 15 price. Then for dessert I ordered the chocolate mousse cake which was horrific. It did not contain cake at all! Only a pile of goopy chocolate. Not even that was mousse like. More like cheap instant chocolate pudding. Only those two things cost over $ 20! I will not be going back.

Place was about half full for a Monday night. Nothing too fancy or pretentious inside, however the meal was exceptional. We did not do drinks or appetizers but the sangria looked phenomenal and other reviews speak highly of it. I ordered the skirt steak and chorizo off of the daily specials. Others at the table had the Europa steak and a beef dish with mushrooms. Our meals came with a big plate of rice and peas along with papas Fritas(thick sliced homemade potato chips). Steaks were cooked perfectly and the meal was 100% enjoyable. We just couldn’t resist dessert. I had the flan which was amazing and others ordered crème brûlée, also spectacular. Would definitely love to go back sometime soon with family and friends.

This place was just a dream! I literally live less than 5 minutes away and can’t believe I drove past it so many times not knowing the treasure it truly is. The food was delicious, portion sizes were great, service was attentive and friendly. All that PLUS they give free bread, free chips, free rice, & a free amaretto shot at the end of the meal for anyone who ordered alcohol!!! A+++

Hidden gem in elizabeth! I come to elizabeth regularly. on an almost weekly basis and have never seen this place. However, I’m so glad we found this thru Unilocal.Went here on a Saturday evening for an early dinner. It’s a shame there were so few people here, but good for us. no wait time. First, it’s a pretty fancy restaurant, so expect semi-high prices and great service. The staff continually stopped by to see if we needed anything. We had sangria, fried calamari, paella for 2, veal marsala, another type of veal, mahi mahi and seafood casserole. –The sangria was nice. It was not too strong on the alcohol and had some chopped up pieces of apple, pineapple and oranges inside. $ 12 for a small pitcher that serves 3. –The calamari was very flavorful and a good amount of crunch. We even ate all the lettuce. — To me, the paella was meh. Rice was a bit bland, but I’m comparing this to the best paella I’ve ever had in PR. There was lots of seafood inside, including a whole lobster. There was a heck of a lot tho. –Veal and mahi mahi were good. Tender and flavorful. –The casserole had a lot of stuff including shrimp, scallops and half a lobster in some tomatoey sauce. It was all great, but was never really a fan of tomato sauce. The scallops were great. Wõuld totally get this again for scallops. Lobster. was messy. Oh desserts. Had flan and cookies and crème. Flan was a bit tough. Was expecting softness, but still not bad. It was presented beautifully tho. The cookies and crème was a great choice. Slides off your spoon into your mouth. It is very sweet tho, but darn good. I would totally recommend this to anyone. It is seafood, so expect to pay for it, but it’s worth it.

Nice Euro feel interior, friendly staff, pretty large portions(making the $ 15+ entrees worth it), interesting variety of dishes, and nice marketing strategy for their desserts. Interior: There’s a bar and dining area, which has a European rustic feel to it. Staff: They were all really good, always came with more water for us, asking if we needed anything more. Just overall, great service. Food: Large portions — we had the paella for 2, mahimahi, veal verna, veal marsala, and another dish whose name I can’t remember. Only complaint was that the lobster was a bit dry in the paella. Dessert: After we finished our dinner, the host brought a tray of all the desserts they served… they all looked so good! What an ingenious marketing strategy… put out all the tempting desserts in front of us and have us decide if we want dessert or not. We got the flan and cookies&crème. The flan was ok, a bit bland though. The cookies and crème was delicious though — the mousse was fluffy and sweet, topped with cookie crumbs. Yummy! As for drinks… the sangria is nice. They put chopped fruit inside. Also, the almond liquor at the end was delicious.

I’ve only been here for lunch, but the food here is excellent and the service is great as well. Their stuffed salmon is absolutely phenomenal — fresh, MASSIVE, seasoned perfectly. I had more than enough, and what I had in my doggy bag was easily another meal. For lunch you also get bread(woohoo!). Their cream of tomato soup was delicious and flavorful without being too rich. Definitely one of my favorite Portuguese places — and for lunch it is priced pretty well!

Great food! Just not as good a Velenca’s, but still good. Just dont get the paella! Ive ordered from here many times and i’m usually pleased but when i got the paella i was disappointed bc the rice and the seafood is cooked separately so its a little bland… Ok. Very bland. A good, no GREAT app to try is the port mushrooms… So good!!! Sangria is good too. This place is def a win!!!(except the paella!)

Took my girlfriend here this past weekend. The service was perfect, food was really good. The Chicken Cordon Bleu was amazing. We sat in the back area, where there weren’t many other people, and it was quiet. Very reasonable prices for the food and drinks. I tipped around 40%, because our server definitely deserved it. Note — if you will be wanting wine — Maybe call ahead to see if they have what you’ll want… The server didn’t seem to understand what i was asking for — or perhaps they didn’t have certain wines i asked about — when I asked about Riesling and another type of white. But our server brought a wine that we enjoyed, so they made up for it. But all in all, a very good experience! Go here!

Europa is usually one of my favorite last stops before going home or to a diner after a night of getting Beered and Jacked. They are open until 3am, a lot of bars I go to close at 2am. So we can safely get an extra hour of hanging out here. During the dinner hours, they serve a variety of OK Portugese dishes. I have personally tried the mussels and garlic chicken. Not my favorite pollo but it feeds me. The prices on their entrees are a little on the high side for just aight food. So I try not to eat here unless I have to. I love Sangria. And when I want good Sangria I come to Europa. My girlies and I look to Sangria on nights we want to kick back and get a little loose without getting bombed. Eurpoa is located withing walking distance from my home which is another reason why I go. Would I have my dirty 30 party here? NO. Would I bring a few friends after having dinner at my home for a couple pitchers of Sangria? For sure!

I came here with my boyfriend on a Thursday night around 7. As a previous review mentioned, the inside is much nicer/more formal than the outside of the restaurant depicts. There’s a parking lot right next door that is reserved for the beauty salon, but the next building down has parking for Europa. There was no one else at the restaurant, so naturally the waiter was able to be very attentive, constantly refilling our water, etc. We were given bread and salad before our meal. We both ordered grilled skirt steak(on special for 16.95), which was very delicious and juicy. I barely had to move my knife to cut it. The steaks came with mashed potatoes(which tasted like instant), broccoli, fried potato chips, and yellow rice. It was a lot of tasty food with plenty left over. I would go back with some friends and try out some of their appetizers and sangria.
