I thank heaven for 7⁄11. Visiting from California and I needed my banana. Our hotel breakfast didn’t have. So I opened my 7⁄11 app and found a local one with bananas

7 – 11 has the best Coke slurpees…5 Star IMO!!! They are not too sweet and have a perfectly smooth texture. I’ve tried Coke slurpees from many convenience stores and nothing beats 7 – 11. I don’t have 7 – 11’s where I live so this was a special treat. Surprising how the simplest things can make a foodie happy :). Taking a star off for the hood this place is in. I was Seriously Harassed by two men begging for money out front. I was dressed down also in sweats, sweatshirt, no jewelry and no makeup. The parking lot had a couple of other homeless people hanging out and it was rainy and daytime. If you’re craving a Coke slurpee or need something from this store bring your body guard! AMAZING… Very clean store and friendly staff. Nice product assortments. Hot Pizza and wings at reasonable price. The store is located at very busy intersection of Elizabeth. It serves local as well as commuters traveling to New York City using Goethals Bridge. The first time that I went in the store, I was amazes with the customer service that I received. They go above and beyond to keep their customers happy. The cold drink selection is to die for, from Voss Water to Vita Coco Pineapple water. They also have an ATM machine which helps given this store is open 24X7365days a year. The new introduction of Hot Food and sandwiches are a great addition to this facility. I highly recommend that you try their fresh Pizza usually its around $ 5-$ 6 for a pie when its on specials.

Ahhh… Sitting here with my Tall 711 Coffee. This morning I went with the Colombian blend. Usually I opt for 711 Exclusive house blend with ¼ of the cup on Decaf. It’s my own version of «half caff». I could care less where my coffee comes from. Whether is is my own fabulous kitchen or some swag coffee house in Manhattan as long as it is HOT and STRONG. But if it tastes burnt you might as well throw it away. 711 just re-designed their coffee stations. The coffee’s are now brewed in a BUN and than the coffee is transferred to these big thermos jugs that hold the coffee for the duration. What a great idea. I loved to get my coffee there before. I mean it is great for the dolla dolla saver and you can make your own. I have a little inkling of pity for the individual who screws up my coffee in the morning. WOW! That’s why I am more than OK frequenting 711. Now, you can of course add various milks and sugars to your coffee but they also have«extras». They lay out about 6 different International Delight flavored coffee creamers. You can put in a splash of Hazlenut or Almond Joy and for a split second almost forget it’s 711’s coffee. Last but not least is the variety of Celestial Tea’s they have. Lemon zinger, mint, ginger… Yes it is an impressive coffee and hot bev station for 711. They also lay out different syrups and have hot chocolate and a few flavors Cappuccino. I don’t really get down with these drinks but my son, Evan loves a hot coco in the morning with a splash of almond joy cream and an inch of mini-marshmallows topping it off! I love coffee though. My 711 is right across from DD. I hate DD so for years I made my own coffee. Than about 5 years ago this 711 popped up in my neighborhood. It’s chainy… but it is clean, impeccably well managed and staffed, and GD I love that coffee!

This area of Elmora Avenue in Elizabeth has been undergoing a bit of a rebirth lately. Lots of new businesses have come in even as older ones fade out. One of these is 7 – 11. Sitting in a stirp mall with other establishments including Sarku, Subways, Dunkin Donuts, a nail salon and more, this is a perfect location for a quick place to grab a snack. This 7 – 11 is rather large, with relatively wide aisles and high ceilings. The cashier area is easily one of the biggest ones I recall seeing in comparison to other 7 – 11’s. I’ve always found what I needed there but their prices are a bit high compared to a supermarket. It’s one of those places you hit up in a pinch. The shop owners keep the store very clean and while a bit gruff, they do get you checked out quick.
