Midwest Elite Gymnastics Academy

Went here for a birthday party some months ago. It was the first time my daughter was exposed to gymnastics in such a large forum. She enjoyed herself immensely and considered signing her up for classes. I still may since she is little and we would be doing this strictly for fun not for competitions. Some of the reviews on other sites speak negatively of the level of skill in competitions. So, if that is your intent, then maybe do additional research. But, for basics it seemed better than average. However… my issue was that the entire joint smelled like feet! I get that it is a gymnastics facility. But, they could use some sort of air neutralization or filtration seriously. I could not take being in there for the entire party. The party room/​break room was relatively small. Not really meant for 20 kids and a handful of parents. It was crowded in there. But, the kids seemed to enjoy it.

It came highly recommended to me from a friend who sends her daughter here for gymnastics class. We met there for a playdate in their open gym session they have on Sunday evenings (they also have one on Friday night).
The place is huge, well-​organized, and well-​staffed. My friend even told me that they have even MORE staff on Friday nights because it’s even more busy! Who would have thought!
There are lots of tables for the parents to sit that overlook the arena for supervising purposes. Their classes are well-​priced and their equipment is top notch!
I am looking forward to signing my daughter up for classes here. They are definitely a cut above the rest!

Overall, the place is an OK experience. They challenge the kids more than if you were just to take your kid to a park district program. They have a pretty solid program. The coaches are dedicated to their students.
The gym also offers birthday party packages. I don’t recommend it though because their hosting skills are just horrible. I recently hosted my daughter’s birthday party there and I was not satisfied.

If your child shows more promise with gymnastics than can be fulfilled at your local park district, this is the place for you. It’s an Olympic-​quality training facility for young men and women of all ages. Both my daughters go here and I could not be more pleased. The teachers are energetic and inspiring, the equipment is all top notch. I only wish there was a more comfortable area for parents to hang out during the classes.
