Almost always the best pizza in the south bay. If you know about pizza you know what I mean.

Valentino’s is the best pizza I have had in California so far. One of the few that reminds me of the pizza back home in New York. Nice that they actually sell by the slice unlike most. Wish they had a location closer to my place.

We just had dinner there tonight, small speciality pizza, caesar salad &2 drinks for $ 32. The food was really really pitiful! The pizza is the worst pizza I have ever eaten, no meat, way too much vegetables and no taste marinara sauce«very bland!» For the $$$ we paid and taste, we will never ever go there again!

Love this place!!! We have large party get togethers there often lately and it’s been PERFECT! Great food and wonderful service. I’m also a great fan of the Manhattan Beach location also.

Never again, I use to order once a week from this place, The worst meatball sandwich ever and the pizza was below average but the price was still up there. I am done with this place !!! 9 year customer

I’ve had a lot of pizza and there is none that comes close to this in Southbay. I feels like I’m back on LongIsland.

Big fan of this location for eating in at lunch, today we had lunch at work for about 50 people so I ordered a few items to feed the hungry mass of employees, for about $ 8.00 per person we had some great food, the everybody loved and there was even a little bit extra for some people to take home or save for tomorrow’s lunch. Ordered the day before for a 1030am pickup, called in an extra item at 1000am, and everything was ready when we got there at 1030, great staff, great food, and great value. Highly recommended either to satisfy your craving or the cravings of a hungry staff, everything was fresh and stayed hot thought the meal.

Pros: + Pepperoni pizza with light sauce extra cheese + Quick delivery Cons: — Hawaiian was ok. Too much pineapple for my taste — Veggie pizza was bland Just ordered a pepperoni and a Hawaiian and thought that it was pretty good. Best pizza I’ve tried in El Segundo so far(Had Stuft and Little Gourmet). The Hawaiian was alright. I enjoyed the pepperoni a lot more. Maybe it was because it had light sauce and extra cheese. This place really takes the extra cheese seriously. Pizza was very cheesy and tasty. They delivered in 23 minutes(it was a Wednesday evening though, but still impressive). *Second time eating here wasn’t as enjoyable as the first. Their cheese wasn’t tasty and the toppings for their vegetable pizza weren’t very good. I guess the tastiness from the first time was due to the pepperoni grease. The green peppers were mushy instead of crunchy. They added too many tomatoes chunks. I would not recommend the veggie pizza.

Had our office party catered by Valentinos. Food was delivered hot and on time. Everybody loved loved the food. Lasagna and chicken parm were the favorites but it was all great. Would recommend for good food and reasonable prices.

Let me start by saying my last name is ‘Lombardozzi’ and I have eaten pizza for far too many years, I have tried every style pizza with and without toppings from many countries(including Italy) and all around the U.S. Let me add that I am from Brooklyn N.Y. which truly is the best pie in the world. Have lived in Southern California since I was a kid but always went back to visit relatives in Brooklyn and my favorite is/was DeLarcos Pizza with its old Italian ambiance. So living in California, I could never really find that Brooklyn style pizza even though many advertise their establishment as such. Valentinos on the other hand is probably the closest you will ever come to getting that unique Brooklyn taste… just cheese by the way as thats how you can tell the true taste of the pie… maybe they import the water for the dough??. I regress… Anyhow, as soon as I sink my teeth into a slice I feel like I’m sitting at the red and white checkered table at DeLarcos again! Mangia!

My husband & I absolutely love pizza, and being east coast transplants, it’s hard to find a decent pie on the Westside. Valentino’s is hands down, by far — the best pizza we have found. True NY style pizza. The sauce has the perfect blend of herbs, right amount of cheese, and the outer crust is nice and crispy. Never disappoints!

The service is bad, the guy serving the pizza does it with his hands. The cheese has no flavor then they just re-heat the slices from under the heat lamps. How do you screw up a pizza? I threw it away and went to TOGO’s next door. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The food is very good. But can you please hire some young and pretty cashiers/servers??? Why is it full of old ugly women working inside which for a young guy like me is a big let down. That really annoys me and I dont wanna go back again because they seem so rude and moody and depressing. Lets see some young happy people please.

Not horrible, not great either. Given the 3 ½ stars and based on the comments I would never choose this place. Hey, it was free lunch from my cheap boss. People in the group ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce which was a little disappointing. The calzones were okay and very greasy. Pastrami sandwich was alright. Salads, do not bother if you are looking for a leafy green salad. Also, a couple of the orders were wrong. I will say they give huge portions for the price. If you are looking for that then this is the place for you. If you are more health conscious, look elsewhere.

This review is based on a group delivery order, not just my meal. I ordered the calzone and was happy with my meal. Other people, however, did not receive the food that they had ordered. On top of that, what their food did not look good at all. The buffalo wings that my coworker received(instead of the BBQ wings she ordered) were greasy and needed a lot more sauce. The chicken sandwich that my other colleague got(by accident, because she ordered something different) looked so bad she ended up only eating a small salad — which was also pretty sad looking. In summary, be careful what you order and make sure they write it down correctly. Stick with the calzones, those are good!

Why, in 2015, are we not allowed to rate NEGATIVE stars? If we were allowed to do that, I assure you this place would be in a deficit by now. Ok, so the company I work at caters lunch for the company 3 times per week. On Fridays, the catered lunch is usually pizza. Apparently, the Office Manager had been having some trouble with the other pizza vendors she was using and so she decided to try Valentino’s — notwithstanding my previous review, which she apparently saw(*side eye office manager, lol). Anyway, she disclosed to me that she’d ordered the days lunch from here, and I was cautious for obvious reasons. Wanting not to be a party poop, or to seem ungrateful, I grabbed a slice of what I considered to be an interesting, but densely breaded pizza(my guess is that it was their take on a deep dish pizza?). Anyway, I grabbed a slice of the«deep dish» and 2 slices of a spinach number they had. I sat down to eat them with extreme caution(given my past experience). I made my way through the spinach slices pretty easy — they were not as greasy as the slices I had when I went to the actual location, and they were«edible,» at least. Enter the deep dish slice. Oh dear God. Oh father. It was horrible. The bread was soggy, the toppings were luke warm, but worst of all THEREWAS A HAIR baked just beneath the first layer of cheese. That’s right: A HAIRBAKEDINUNDERTHECHEESE.(side bar: I discovered the hair because, instead of biting into the slice, I chose to break off pieces and eat them in smaller chunks, and as I was doing that I was kind of looking at it, and that’s how I discovered the hair). Now, once I discovered the hair I was horrified. I grabbed a paperclip and unleashed it from under the cheese. Oh father. Had I already eaten hair on the other slices? On other bites of the pizza? Oh father. I immediately threw the pizza out. NEVEREVEREVEREVER eating the product out of this place again, so help me Zeus!

I usually don’t like to deviate from my regular pizza places. I have had a lot of bad experiences trying new pizza. I gave Valentino’s a chance purely out of convenience. They are a 5 minute walk from my office. To start with, they have some great lunch deals here. 2 huge slices of pizza and a drink for $ 5.99 or a personal sized pizza with 2 toppings for $ 6.99. With the quality of the pizza, these are amazing prices. I don’t want to say that this is absolutely authentic NY style pizza, but it’s pretty damn close to the stuff I had in NY. Yes, its greasy pizza. In this case, thats not really a bad thing. This is a pizza where 2 toppings is the max you should go with. With the thin crust, you start adding lots of meat or watery veggies, it will go limp fast. I prefer going simple. Just pepperoni and onions for me. Going with plain cheese is even a safe bet here.

I enjoy their NY style pizzas. I’ve had a lot of things from here since my coworkers used to order from here often. Calzones, pasta, meatballs you name it. I always come back to this place when I want a fix since they sell pizza by the slice as well! and it’s near my neighborhood, Very convenient. I hate how they r skimpy w/the condiments that you request when u take any food to go. You literally have to beg them for more like Parmesan & crushed red pepper. The pizza is a bit too greasy so be prepared!
