I am not one to write reviews, but this place made me and my buddy feel extra special. my cocktail waitress; krystal, made this first-​time experience phenomenal! Better yet, Justine the bartender, made one of the BEST old-​fashion drink =)

VALLEY VILLAGE, CA
Excellent wine selection, whisky selection and steak. The newly renovated restaurant has a huge, beautiful bar to sit at if it’s just you or with one friend and high top seating and tables if your party is a bit larger. Personally I like to sit at the bar if I’m on my own; I’m glad I did because their bartender Liam has a lovely English accent and strikes that perfect balance between being hilarious and professional. I’m more of a wine lover these days but he dies nake some yummy craft cocktails if you’re so inclined and the bar is much busier than a usual hotel bar because of the local Mattel and aerospace workers that stop by.

The chicken tortilla soup and the salmon salad were both good. Service was friendly but a little slow. The bar is currently closed for remodeling. Definitely an okay choice if you don’t want to go out.

Been here many times to stay and also to the bar/​restaurant. Its not the most fun atmosphere, couple of token tv screens (hate that) could do with some music instead otherwise its like being in a hotel lobby (only less interesting people watching)
The prices do not match the food quality. Had the most disgusting burnt/​soggy fries (I know right, how is that possible to make so badly) and more than once.
Place could do with a decent happy hour the best thing going for it is a patio but service out there is slow or non existant.
PS i also got food poisoning from the ranch here once.

I had the buffalo chicken salad which was excellent. Located in the back of the doubletree, I was surprised and delighted how good the food was. If you are staying here there is no reason to wander out for food. This is a great hideaway for friends to meet too.
