Denny’s

EVERY DAMN TIME we come here there’s this one waitress named samry who takes for ever to take our order, she makes eye contacts and never asks if we’re ok or ready to order. once we do she sees the food sitting on the counter and just wanders off doing other stuff. its always a gamble to come to this Denny’s cause of her. she sees everyone else in the sh*ts moving around and she’s just standing there watching her coworkers go down. I’m sorry to say but she’s giving this Denny’s a bad rep.
If you want late night good service at Denny’s go to the one on inglewood and rosecrans.
Shout out to the server SUNNY over there, always throwing it down keeping it one hunnid

I walked into this Denny’s it’s a Tuesday night it was 7 o’clock give or take it took about 6 minutes for somebody to ask if I could be helped I said yes I’d like a table please the guy handed me a piece of paper and told me to put my name down and I did 5 minutes later somebody came up to the register and said can I help you I said I’d like a table please she said for how many I said for one then she said can I get your name I said it’s already on there she says oh okay and then she walked around the entire restaurant for like 5 minutes like she was lost never once informing me how long or said anything like it’ll be a minute or something so I waited for another 5 minutes and I asked another girl at the register if I could sit at the counter because it was taking too long to get a seat and she started giving me some excuse about if we’re busy blah blah blah they werent busy they had 4 tables full so I just turned around told her never mind I’ll just go to another Denny’s I’ll never come back here while I was waiting for them to take my name somebody that had gotten off the freeway to come here to feed her child said they were as slow as molasses

The food is good and taste like every other Denny’s. The service was good and very attentive.

Go-​to place for late night food! The service at this Denny’s is always EXCELLENT. The staff has improved with their customer service over the years, they seem more organized and attentive. I came here last night with a couple of friends and our server was very nice and got our order right. I ordered a chocolate shake and an order of chicken tenders with buffalo sauce and a side of fries. The food was good and the chocolate shake was super milky and chocolaty!

What was suppose to be a «15 minute wait» turned into a 35 minute debacle. The «host» was very disorganized, flustered and overwhelmed by patrons trying to sign in and find out their status on the waiting list. Patrons were getting upset because the host was not providing any updates and he kept disappearing. I knew I should have went to black bear diner. Needles to say I have been seated in my booth for 15 minutes and finally our server took our order. Denny’s what’s going on with you?! Your losing your touch and your patrons too. My party consisted of my wife and 3 kids. Everyone’s food except my daughters came out. How much longer could have it been for her jr slam with regular pancakes vs my sons jr slam with chocolate chip pancakes?! My poor daughter was starving asking me «daddy I’m hungry when is my food coming?» I told her its ok baby it’s coming. I let my good sit there and get cold before I ate and waited for her food to come out before I began to eat. My wife ordered a cheese omelette and they forgot the cheese!!! How in the hell do you the cheese!!! They ended up throwing cheese on top of her omelette and melting it in the microwave. Seriously?! Well this location has lost my business. GET IT TOGETHER DENNYS!

Went to this Denny’s for the first time last week. Figured, how can you f****p good ol’ reliable Denny’s (diner, no frills-​thrills food). Was warned about this location by a good buddy of mine who works the LAX/​Southbay area and knows his restaurant/​restroom stops well. Should have listened!
Short and simple:
Place is newer or remodeled looking so that was nice. Plenty of staff so no excuse for the slow service.
The biggest issue with this place was the poor service and the quality of the food. Bad. Server never came by to refill our drinks. Took forever to get the check and and just as long to get someone to take your money at the register. Never a «How was everything» or «Thank you please come again», like at other locations.
Service is: Blunt, non-​happy, non-​cordial (except for one cute and nice hostess), expressionless and a non-​warming server attitude. Add bad/​burnt/​non-​appetizing food and you get the point.
Very surprised management hasn’t addressed the issues posted here on Unilocal or by customers at the actual location, which I’m sure some have been vocal.
It’s in a prime location near LAX, the Airport Court house, and many Air and Space/​Defense companies.
Iv’e never been one to complain and/​or act like a fool in front of customers, I just wanted out. Still left a tip cause I know (hope) they share it with the support staff. Figured i’d just vent here and warn and tell others about my experience at this location.
Won’t return to this location again (unless they build a cocktail lounge, which some old school Denny’s do).
Will stick to the 100 times better Denny’s at the corner of
Aviation and Artesia blvd in Redondo. No alcohol at this one either but the food and service are great. Trust me! Huge difference.

I’ve been here before not sure what happened this time around. Waited a while to even start our drink order. I know it was busy but kind of crazy to wait over 10 minutes to even be asked what we would like to drink. Our food was served and fine. Waitress never came by to ask if we wanted more coffee. I had to get up and ask, i asked the manager, only to be ignored. They brought my burnt toast… no jelly. Again, i had to get up and ask for jelly. The waitress showed up when we were all done and only to bring the bill. I love Denny’s but I won’t be coming back to this location.

My fourth time here and and it’s beginning to feel Groundhog Day. Show up, they say sit anywhere, and like clockwork I have to get up after 10 – 15 min and remind someone that I sat down and will need a menu.
Comes back with water (the ONLY one I’ll see).
They ask if I’m ready after having the menu 45 seconds I say «no». Fast forward 15 more minutes til I’ve had to wave someone over to take my order. (Empty glass). Takes order. Fast forward 15 more. Food arrives. Still no refill on water.
Finish meal. Wait 10 – 15 For someone to come over, more often than not I have to get up and wave someone over for the check.
It seems that there is enough staff for the amount of people in here given that time of the day, but for whatever reason. People are always backed up at the register waiting to be seated, the tables take forever to be cleaned.
If you’re trying to get in and out in under 45 min. It’s not happening

Walked in for late breakfast with the family and was told to seat are selfs.(ok no usual for a restaurant). Asked for a booster seat for the kid and the waitress rolled her eyes then Walked away. Never was asked if we needed menus drinks etc. took 20 minutes to realize are presents wasn’t acknowledged. Got up and left went to are usual Denny’s restraint to eat. Oh wait I did forget my kids bottle on the table so I walked back in and she once again rolled her eyes as I entered and walked back out. Never again will I be visiting this location EVER again.

Subpar Denny’s here.
On my Grand Slam,
1 piece of bacon + 1 piece of sausage = 2 stars.
Pretty sure there’s usually 2 of each.
If it weren’t for the pumpkin spiced pancakes, this might be a 1 star situation.

Solid Denny’s here. Come here for coffee and breakfast. I get their fit fare breakfast without eggs and without cheese because I am a vegan. Fries always hit the spot. Love their coffee

So the 5 stars isn’t for fabulous food or anything (it’s Dennys let’s be real) however the service Jose continues to provide time after time is absolutely fabulous! We literally come back just to have him wait on us. He’s sweet and always so attentive. He needs to be working at a steak house or something. Anyways we love you Jose! Keep up the good work!

The restaurante it’s self is pretty clean the service was disappointing waited for about 30 mins to get my food when it comes it’s completely wrong they brought me 2 burgers when I asked for a double burger I then tell the waitress what I wanted she takes back both burgers brings it back all the did was throw the patty o one burger it was so messy you can tell what they did so I told her really she’s like a whole new burger wow when I receive the bill there charging me 2 burgers I said I orders a double burger not 2 burgers she said that how we charge a double cheeseburger I then asked for a manager when I didn’t she fixed my check never again so disappointing

The place is clean. Ordered a hot chocolate. Took 15 minutes to pay because the cashier was broken. Only one waitress actually working to seat, check out, and serve people despite numerous waitresses in the restaurant.
Felt bad for Sandy who was doing four people’s jobs.

Entirely acceptable experience, must note as always with me/​restaurants which I do try to avoid entirely ANY experience is during «off hours» 2 – 5, closer the 5 today. Place looked pretty much immaculately clean, relatively quiet, table tents/​condiments in order etc. The lady’s breakfast was cooked perfectly (eggs scrambled not hard not runny/​hash-​Browns perfect) and my 8oz. well-​done sirloin came well-​done but not at all burnt in under 10 mins. and was almost too tender. The mashed potatoes were a little stiffer than I like but if that’s how they do ‘em… Order was entirely as ordered, gravy on the side etc., and Carolina our waitress was patient with the lady, who is deafer than a rock mostly and ALWAYS does the «I don’t see it let me tell you what I want» thing. Her fruit looked fresh and was of good portion. I’m thinking 4−½ stars if I could give it; a half-​star off for no check-​back until after we were done eating, but then Carolina made up for it by racing to the register when I went to pay. And considering her sweet patience with deaf-​ass lol. I myself a very experienced waiter and as a customer hold a VERY short leash generally, I just can’t do less than 5 stars on this visit. I mean I probably COULD, but it IS just a Denny’s so Denny’s-wise, gotta go wit da 5 on this one. Oh, and the premises: perfect, clean and well marked and like new everywhere.

Normally we go to ihop but decided not go as they had a promotion. We decided to come here instead which is a beautiful establishment but I can’t say the same for the service.
First we noticed that some of the utensils had pieces of dried food and were not cleaned properly.
Then we waited about 25 minutes for our food and when we got our food it was cold.
Then our server Francisco never stopped by our table to see if we needed anything else. I had to get up from my table while I’m eating to look for Francisco to get a new set of utensils.
Then he stopped by a table next to us and checked in on them and gave them a refill and Us that we’re only a few inches away did not bother to check in on us.
I finally got fed up and spoke to the restaurant manager Khaleed and voiced my dissatisfaction. Khaleed immediately took the initiative and took care of us for the the remainder of our dining.

Why in the heck did they stop selling the buffalo wings in the corporate Denny’s? It was literally the only reason I was going there! I did have a coupon which they took and made it a point to mention that they would take expired ones too which I appreciated. The woman was extremely friendly and helpful. It’s the food and décor that I’m rating a 3 star since it’s very greasy but for the cashier and the customization of what I ordered, I would give them a 5 star

Terrible service, questionable food quality, and disgusting when it comes to clean! Oh, and way too many high school kids playing with their food!
Never again will I patronize this particular Dennys!

It felt like home. Just the right amount of service without being bothersome and trying to sell you more than you want. Fresh coffee. Great service at the counter. Friendly waitresses. I didn’t even have to ask for the bill.

The food was pretty good, and the waiter was OK attentive. BUT, like everyone else said, when you walk in you wait at the front wondering if someone is going to come seat you, or if you should seat yourself.
Secondly, while I was there the lady that was cooking was yelling and arguing with our waiter. For godness sakes woman!
Third, the place IS dirty, and the atmosphere is depressing.
Lastly, just look at the picture of the spoon they gave me to eat my soup with… a picture is worth… yea a thousand words.
