My family LOVES to go to this restaurant for the authentic Italian pasta dishes and the amazing dishes — the lamb chops, the steak, the chicken… All the meats are cooked so tender. The wine is incredible! The chilled environment with piano playing let us all relax! You will not go wrong!

Thank you a for great dinner and moscato Italian wine. Loved this little place. Authentic beautiful décor and atmosphere, feels like you are in little Italy. Welcoming and attentive waiter. We will be back!

Truly a 5 star experience at this restaurant. FOOD: We visited during happy hour(from 5−6pm) and split a bottle of wine(Papale — Red Zen), ordered the Sautéed mushrooms and salad as appetizers. We shared the Gnocchi for the main course. Afterwards, we split Tiramisu for dessert. All in all, we had a «Thanksgiving style» experience where we just picked off the main dishes. The portions were generous and well prepared. Despite sharing the entire meal, we both came hungry and left satisfied. AMBIANCE: Tucked away on a cozy street in Downtown El Segundo, this restaurant nook provided a relaxing environment. With plenty of natural light from the large storefront window, aesthetic candles added a homey feel to the otherwise elevated casual trade-dress. SERVICE: Our waiter, Cody, had peerless recommendations for our palate. Positively palpable, the professional procured poignant and appropriate propositions prior to our prodding. Highly recommend. EMOTION: Now, I’m traditionally very easy to please and by no means consider myself an aficionado… but I cannot over emphasize how savory and delicious this meal was. The entire experience was sensationally miraculous. The kind of meal to make a grown man cry. PRICE: All together, the tab came out to $ 54 which we split two ways. $ 27 + tip per person was quite a deal in the grand scheme of things especially for the quality of experience.

So sad and disappointed — used to be so solid and authentic. Horrible on so many levels. Food quality, ownership. Just downhill — ‘risotto’ came out cold and essentially El Pollo Loco. The whole debacle was embarrassing — embarrassed for the owners and the opportunity for recovery. We had a table of six, Thursday night, no budget… We wanted simple, good service and quality —and they have no clue… owners came out to tell us how risotto might be vs apologizing for cold pod and horrid service and how things could be. Cold soup. Cold rice. What happened here?!? If busy, we get it. The whole thing … WRONG!

The four stars goes mostly to the service, not the food. I went to this place on Happy Hour with my sisters, who are visiting from Brazil, because we were craving some saucy Italian food and wanted to pair it with a glass of wine. The ambiance of the restaurant is great, it’s located on a small street in El Segundo and inside the restaurant is real pretty and welcoming. From our very first interaction with the host we were pleased. A very welcoming Brazilian girl greeted us and seated us. When we were given the menu, we were slightly confused. There was only 3 pasta dishes on the menu, and none of them had tomato sauce in it. The pictures show gnocchi, lasagna, spaghetti ! But when we got there, none of that was on the menu. I was very disappointed. How come an Italian restaurant only has THREEPASTADISHES? All white dishes!!! But we were hungry and there for happy hour so we stayed. The happy hour was VERY weak. 2 dollars off appetizers, 2 dollars off wine and beer. Not a very impressive deal … But we stayed and ordered. The calamari was very yummy, but it didn’t come on the regular red sauce it usually does. The drink menu was extensive so it gave us a few option, but then again, paying $ 12 for a glass of wine doesn’t really sound like happy hour. When our food came, my sister was disappointed. She was expecting a saucy pasta full of flavor. The pasta had flavor, but it wasn’t worth the $ 18 we had to pay for it. You might be wondering why I’m giving it 3 stars even though the food left me disappointed … Well, our server! Marcela was very friendly, attentive and just an overall great server. I work in the restaurant business so I always appreciate someone who does their job well and can make the costumer feel welcome and cared for! It it wasn’t for her, I’d probably rate this place two stars. This place has great potential. Work on your menu. You need more competitive happy hour prices. Great staff though

My wife and I had been here a while back and were not sold on this place. However we gave it another shot a few days back and the place did not disappoint. The food was delicious. The service was stellar and the live guitar music provided a fun atmosphere.

Love the fish specials with sauces. Also the carbonara is incredible. Great kids menu, live music on the weekends. This is one of our favorite restaurants to go to — often a choice for a celebration but perfect for a family dinner out, too

I have been eating here for a few years now and I have always had a great dining experience at Deluca. Love the food here. Best gnocchi I have ever had in the South Bay. The food and service has always been excellent!

Best gnocchi I’ve tried in the South Bay so far. Their gnocchi is pillowy and soft, and they were able to substitute the usual sauce so I could have it served with pesto instead of a butter-shallot or meat sauce. My brother tried their gnocchi in meat sauce which had great flavor and just a touch of spice. No one finished their dishes; their serving sizes are well worth the price. I am so pleased to have discovered this authentic tasting Italian place hidden away in el segundo. The only downside is the live music– the performer would have been better if she stuck to guitar instead of signing. It detracted from the enjoyment of the night, but I will definitely be back. The service weren’t fantastic though– we had to flag someone down to refill our drinks, and once we finished our food we were held hostage waiting for someone to bring us out check so we would leave. If you’d like bread before your meal you have to ask for it. Call ahead for reservations– it is a small restaurant that can fill up quickly

My old friend chose this restaurant to meet at because she was interested in trying it. I didn’t feel like pasta so I ordered the Frutti di Mare with grilled shrimp, scallops, calamari, red onion, and mozzarella. I really liked it. It was fantastic. My friend didn’t seem as enthusiastic about her scallops and risotto and panna cotta dessert. Service left something to be desired. The food was extremely slow in coming out. I seriously thought they forgot about our order. The waiter also forgot to bring my friend the drink she ordered although it still appeared on the check. The waiter also wasn’t overly attentive. The restaurant is cute and charming with live music including a piano player which adds a nice touch. The food at neighboring tables looked very attractive and appetizing. I lucked out and found parking at the free parking lot up the street. We were glad to take advantage of the 15% off Unilocal check-in.

I’ve been here twice. The first time the service was very very slow. The next time I showed up at 8:35 when they close at 9. No one comes up to seat us for 5 minutes. We see the hostess whisper to two other employees who are staring at us. then she comes up after we have been standing around for 5 minutes and says their kitchen is closed. Will not be back.

So this used to be my favorite place, so it makes me sad to write this. I am hopeful that the owner will read this and take things back to the way they used to be. Because I used to dine here weekly. I’m not sure if Deluca lost its cook, but starting in September 2015 the food started to taste terrible. It was as if they changed the ingredients in everything. All of the sudden the carbonara and spaghetti sauce started to taste like nothing. I’m not sure what’s going on with the sauces– they don’t even look the same color anymore. During our last visit in October 2015, we waited over 1 hour for food and it did not taste fresh like it used to. The service has plummeted. The waiter then brought out the wrong food. we were not offered anything to compensate for the mistakes. Please please fix this!

Deluca is back. We went there recently and the food was the yumminess I had originally fallen in love with. The lady who greeted us at the front and took our order and made sure we were enjoying our time and our food was beyond nice. I felt cared for and nourished, as though I were a guest in her home. I can’t wait for the Holiday season, and I hope they will have a duet or trio. Now I’m afraid to tell too many people, because I worry people will mob the place again! Just kidding. This is a place I want all my friends to experience. Thank you Deluca!

We LOVED them this January. This September Friday evening, the menu had changed. The same appetizer of mussels went from fantastic to mundane. The service was poor. Our entees were brought without the appetizer dishes being cleared… No space available!!? When cleared, I was offered ground parmesan for my dish. I said yes… it never appeared. The most senior waiter was very helpful for a second choice of wine, but fell short on the birthday request for tiramisu. We received the bill before we got the dessert. However, he did bring over the in house musician to sing a birthday celebration. All in all, we were significantly disappointed from our January experience.

Fantastic restaurant and staff ! We have dined here now maybe four times since the beginning of the 2015 summer. It has really brought a focus to the El Segundo area of Los Angeles, so much so that we are seeking out other dining and as we are planning to relocate at some point in the near future we are now considering El Segundo for our relocation. Relocation due to a great restaurant is definitely a first for me. The food is authentic, homemade Italian with the most superb tomato based sauces imaginable. The pasta is always perfectly cooked and the soups and salads are near perfect. Simple, elegant and enjoyable. Never a miss.

Tastey and elegant food. I got the lenguine with clams and it was delicious. My friend got spaghetti with meatballs and it was really good too. However, another one of my friends got the spaghetti with meat sauce and it was even better than the meatballs. Always use your Unilocal 15% off as the prices are a little steep. You can also check into another app(they have flyers on the table) and get a free appetizer. Utilize these two promotions and it turns out to be a pretty good deal. The service was exceptional although the hostess was a little weird and took a while to bring us our menus. All in all, the food was good and I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get good Italian food in El Segundo. I would definitely go back and try something new. I bet all of the food is good here.

You ever gotten so sick from something that you had to fight the urge to take a steak knife to your gut just to make it all stop??? Well that was my experience with this place. I met up with some friends at the purple orchid next door and ordered a pepperoni pizza to go from this place(the bar lets you bring in food since they don’t serve any). The pizza tasted good enough but wreaked havoc on my guts later that night. It was one of those nights that you think will never end. I dunno, maybe it was a fluke or something because the other reviews seem to be positive enough, and the staff here was pretty friendly. I, however cannot rate this place any higher than a one. Sorry owners, the facts stand as they are.

Dined here last night for the first time, and it definitely will not be our last time! Excellent wine list, smart and elegant décor, charming and attentive service. And the food?! Don’t even get me started. I would come here for the mussels every day if I could. I’d baptize my first born in that broth. ITSTHATGOOD. Finished off the meal with salted caramel gelato… And because I have the diet of an unsupervised 8 year old, we washed it down with a scoop of Nutella gelato. Well done, Deluca!!! You’ve won me over… You’re stuck with me.

I was out with the family spending time together and running errands. We all were hungry and stopped at a restaurant in El Segundo that only served pizza and calzones. The thought was that my son could get his favorite pepperoni pizza and we could get a chicken dish of some kind. Wifey gave up cheese for lent so that wasn’t going to work. I did a quick Unilocal check of restaurants in the area and Deluca was on top. Decided to check it out based on the reviews and I am so glad we did! Simply put, Deluca’s is the bomb diggaty. They were very accomodating even though it was packed and on a Saturday night. It is a small but quaint place with exceptional service. We started with the calamari and it was the best I have ever had. It was fried and breaded perfectly and the spicy sauce was the perfect compliment. My wife got the breaded chicken and enjoyed it. My linguine with clams was exceptional. Perfect mix of spices and cream and the linguine was perfect al dente. The live singer on the piano just added to the experience in a positive way. My wife commented that we may have found a new spot and I could not agree more. I look forward to coming back and trying other dishes from the great menu of options.
