I almost hate to write about this USPS location because then it might ruin my personal experience… well fellow Unilocalers, I shall share this location with you to better us all! haha This is by far the best post office you can go to. There are never any lines, the people here are great, attentive, helpful, friendly, and all those other qualities you would wish for but never get when you go to other post offices. Then there’s the building! It’s like walking into a museum with mosaic tile flooring, a high 50′ ceiling with a beautiful sky light, magnificent arches that make you want to open a p.o. box just so you have a reason to pass under them, roman columns as you enter the building, and these stone stairs that make you feel like you’re entering the past. I can only imagine who and how many people have walked the same steps, only wishing to establish communications with loved ones far away. I never hate going to the post office now that I’ve discovered this hidden gem. Plus, the food truck court yard is right across the street. So pick up some stamps, walk across the street, grab some good food from the trucks, HAND write a letter to a loved one, then walk back and send it off. It’s like a blast from the past…
