I left confused and a bit irritated, I had done my research on Plato’s closet beforehand reading that they only accepted clothes that were gently used and somewhat still in season, so beforehand I made sure my selection was in great condition. I had a bag full of Forever 21 shorts & skirts, Pacsun & Tilly’s crop tops some things which were never worn with tags still on. Even a few things from Urban Outfitters. I dropped my bag off at the front and they told me it would be a little bit so I decide to shop around. To my surprise they did not except ANY of my items. I honestly could not believe it. While shopping I had seen shoes with holes and soles run down, items that had small stains on them, not that they didn’t have good items few & far between. It was an alright place to shop at but definitely not a place to sell at.

If there was half a star or less, I’d rate them that instead. Horrible customer service, stuck up girls.

I seriously don’t know why their reviews are so bad. I liked this store and the people were really friendly. For a pair of wedges, two shirts and an old Guess blazer I got almost $ 30 back and although they didn’t take a lot of my stuff, this amount of money is good for these few items. I’m happy I went there.

Worst customer service ever, I’ve gone many times before hoping it would improve but it just hasn’t. I stood there for 20 mins before anyone would open a dressing room door for me, even after I asked. The workers there are rude and all they do is stand around and talk about their personal problems instead of helping their customers. I heard a girl talking about giving birth to her son for a good 20 minutes before she even acknowledged to help me. In addition, it’s a bad place to sell your clothes to. I took my bag full of clothes who were in excellent condition and they said they wouldn’t take them from me. I politely asked what was wrong with them and they claimed to have holes, rips, and stains on them. Which I found it to be ridiculous since I went through all my clothes before taking them to sell to make sure they were in excellent condition. Yet, they have numerous amounts of clothing with rips and holes and stains so bad they should just throw them away. Also, they claimed to not be taking summer clothes in, yet, there was a woman before me who took a bag full of shorts and dresses and they accepted her clothing. I would just steer clear of this thrift store, bad service and bad people to sell to, save your time and money and go elsewhere.

The Plato’s Closet in Dallas is great, so I thought to give this one a try. I left angry and confused! I brought in 5 pairs of pants. One was $ 89 pair of Michael Kors pants, Hollister, Abercrombie&Fitch, BullHead and Aeropostale. All in great shape. No holes, rips or pulls or stains. Also had a nice dress shirt paid $ 25 for. I stood and watch as one girl was going through them, she was going to take all of them till another girl came over and said no to them all but the shirt! She offered $ 2 for the shirt too! I asked her why not the pants and she said they were not good enough! It kills me because you can look through their stuff and see shoes so worn and dirty they should be thrown away and pants/shirt/dresses that have pulls and small holes in them. Some were even pants that were clearly hand cut into«shorts» The owner’s need to rethink what they want the girls to take in and tell them to check their rudeness at the door! If I could contact the owners directly I would.(They also own the Once Upon A Child next to Plato’s)

Looks like they have a great selection and a big store. But not good to sell to(although they do trade). They give you hardly anything! I brought in two dresses six tops three pants(one with a 25 $ tag still on) and they offered $ 17… Ummm good joke!

I heard about this place on the radio and was curious… I went in because I was going to a store in the same shopping center. So much stuff in there. This is a great store for anyone on a budget or who has teens. Nearly everything in the store is next to new and in great shape. There are so many name brand items! This place is such a wonderful idea and just what El Paso needed. I found so many items that still had the tags on them and I purchased tons of things at a great price. A must see for anyone who loves nice clothes at a great price!
