I love their food and they have great service, a little slow but the food(at least the gyro) is worth the wait and their yogurt sauce is made out of magic

This place is great. Food is amazing and the staff is great. The owner came to our table to check on how our experience was and you can tell he truly cares about his customers and his business. Come eat here and support local businesses

We came in at 8 pm and were the only ones in the restaurant. Waitress came over quickly and took our order. She was not familiar at all with the menu, and could not answer most questions. We ordered iced tea and a dr pepper. It took 27 minutes to get our drinks. The waitress came back and told us that they forgot to make iced tea and that it would take another 20 minutes to get our drinks. Meanwhile, the cook came out of the back and dropped our plates on the table. He never asked who ordered what. He just dumped the food and ran off without saying a word. We did not see the waitress again until she came to give us the check. Horrible horrible service. Really unfortunate since the food is really good. I don’t see them staying in business very long with such a crappy and flat out rude attitude to customers. Horrible!

Are the 5 star reviews from fake accounts? I went in here expecting something amazing and I was thoroughly disappointed, start to finish. I don’t like writing harsh reviews of local businesses because I want to support them, but for what I paid to eat here I just can’t let it go without warning other people. We started with falafel, which came out extremely burnt and tasteless. The dipping sauce also tasted like nothing. That should have been our sign to get out but we thought maybe it was just a fluke. So we ordered the chicken shawarma and a gyro. Do the people who run this restaurant think that Americans hate flavor or something? The chicken was dry and unseasoned and the gyro was also extremely bland. That’s all I can really describe what we had as: bland, bland, bland. Not what I expect from Middle Eastern cuisine at all! The fries were passable if you like them soft and thick, but nothing to write home about. In summary: no ambience, no music, no flavor whatsoever in any shape or form. Avoid.

I’ve been to Pita a couple times and they’ve failed to really impress me. The food cannot be deemed bad but it’s your very basic Greek food. The four stars come from the process that goes into making these meals. Anything involving grape leaves gets a golf clap from me. Back to the topic, it’s good. I’ve order a gyro before and a Greek burger(which was exceptional) and I can’t complain. It’s always a safe choice because it’s quality. The portioning is always interesting. They’ve given me my weight in French fries and my friend was give a 7⁄8th serving of rice on the plate. It’s a lot. Still, it’s safe. Definitely worth a visit BUT it isn’t a spot I actively pursue. Regardless, go.

Sandwich was very very greasy. Also, very bad service. The waitress did not notice or care that we didn’t have napkins or silverware(other users claim that all their tables have napkins and silverware, but that is false). We had to find our own, steal them off another table. She was attentive to the only other occupied table, checking on them 4 or 5 times while I was there, but could not have cared less about our table. Not going back there. Go to a better Mediterranean place, there are a bunch.

It was a decent place. Not a great variety other than sandwiches. The combo plate was great. The gyro meat was tasty.

Healthy serving of fresh lamb in gyro. Tasty sauces and onions. Homemade Pita bread. Fries are cut thick. Jalapeño sauce was hot — off the chart! They also serve breakfast. Would definitely come back for more. Free baklava when you spread the word on social media.

Late night getting home and really wanted something healthy and comforting. Stopped to order takeout here and was immediately greeted by a friendly waitress. She recommended a plate after I described what I was in the mood for, then 5 – 10 minutes later I was back on my way with delicious smelling platter in hand. When I got home, I opened the box and I could see gorgeous fresh salad, perfectly fried falafel, and smooth, creamy hummus. Everything totally hit the spot and the freshly made pita bread really took the whole dish up a notch. I will definitely be back and bring my friends and family.

First time here was a good experience, second time was even better. It’s always nice to come here and try something different. Staff is very friendly, always and that makes me want to come back.

If you are looking for Mediterranean in El Paso, you need not look any further. The service is great, and the food is fantastic. The pitas are hand-made and the food’s taste is very authentic. We had the hummus and labaneh as appetizers, and they were both delicious. For dinner we had a lamb gyro and chicken shawarma, and they too were very tasty. My only criticisms are that the Tatziki is a bit thin and the rice seems average, but neither of these detracted from my experience enough to lessen my recommendation that people eat here. Don’t miss out!

Pita has pretty good food and I definitely want to try some of their other dishes. But I don’t really understand a lot of the 5 star reviews. I came in for lunch on Monday. Single hostess/waitress. There was about 11 people(or 3 tables) worth of people(2 of the 3 tables already had their food). Hostess was quick to bring water and take my order. I got the lamb hummus platter with a side of falafel(single falafel). The restaurant is definitely quiet and cozy as mentioned earlier. Its got a nice sorta of cafeteria feel to it. Its definitely bigger and more open inside than you would think. Quite a bit of space to move around. I was watching and listening to one of the bigger tables get their food and I learned that 1) Lemonade is 99 cents for a refill, and 2) If you get the pita you have to ask for their yogurt or green chili sauce. First point, the menu is colorful and very professional looking with great photos of food(something I always appreciate), but its definitely a little chaotic. Chaotic in that its difficult to know exactly what comes with each dish. I thought my hummus platter came with a side, hence why I ordered the single falafel. But was charged extra for the falafel. Again, just a little confusing. I mentioned the number of people in the restaurant because I was little surprised the food took 20 minutes to come out. Ok, on to the food. First off, lamb was delicious. Juicy and moist, it was perfectly cooked. Hummus had a beautiful creamy texture and was not too oily. The pita bread was amazing. Pictures really don’t do it justice. I got a very nice size of bread that I think was perfectly proportioned to the dish. The green chili sauce is a must by the way. It is a freshly sliced and diced green chili and adds a lot of flavor to the dish. And that’s truly one of my biggest issues with Pita. The hummus seemed to be missing something in the flavor department. It was perfectly acceptable but not the kind of amazing hummus I was hoping for and expecting. Also, I found the yogurt to be completely bland. Just zero flavor. I took a couple bites with it and didn’t use it again. Mixing the green chili into the hummus, definitely made the dish come alive. I will say this, I don’t normally like falafel but their falafel really was very good. I highly recommend it. I certainly liked Pita and I will definitely eat there again. But I don’t think its quite as amazing as some of the reviews make it seem. I do want to try their rice and chicken schwarma plate though. Final note, despite being the only person there by the end of lunch, I had to bring my check up to the register to close out. Like I said, definitely a cafeteria type experience.

This place was so good and so very fresh. The grape leaves are by far the best I’ve ever had. Plus fresh pita! The portions are also generous! And definitely try the Kanafeh! It’s a cheesy experience!

This place is super good! Got the gyro combo and it did not disappoint. Their homemade fries were the best I’ve had in El Paso. To add a little kick to your meal, ask for a side of their jalapeño sauce! We’ll definitely be back.

It is my new favorite joint. I have to restrain myself from suggesting Pita every time I get invited out to eat. Their food is savory and fresh. The Pita bread is served right out of the oven. The baklava is freshly made, warm and with a lingering taste of cinnamon: best I’ve had. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy, nothing pretentious about the place so it’s very comfortable when wanting a peaceful dinner. The service is outstanding, very attentive and courteous. The owner takes great pride in his work, as he should, and is always very attentive about your experience with the food. I just love this place.

Pita is new, sandwiched between Rulis and Block, and we decided to give it a try for dinner. We’re big fans of Levantine food(Mediterranean/Middle Eastern) and we were very happy with our meal. The portions are generous and the prices are good. We stuffed ourselves silly and still had a lot to take home. Pita is unique as it is also open for breakfast and open until midnight on the weekends. If you have an early morning or late night craving for falafel, then you know where to go. Our server was very attentive and friendly(not something you get at Sinbad’s down the street) and the owner(?) was pleasant and came out to make sure we enjoyed the meal. If you are not in the mood for a pretentious, pricey meal at Block, then just have a drink at Block and stop in at Pita for dinner.

This place should KILLIT! By far and away, Pita is the best Mediterranean cuisine in E Paso. Amir aim to please with his can-do spirit and wonderful Greek and Middle-eastern favorites served fresh and hot with warm, fluffy home-made pita(unlike the grocery-style pita passed off by other West-El Paso establishments. Fantastic falafel, gyros, chicken and rice, Kafka, hummus, tziziki, and fresh baklava served warm – best I’ve had anywhere – including Athens and Middle-East. The atmosphere is casual, clean, and sparse so don’t bother getting too dressed up. Service is warm and the owner, Amir, wants everyone to be pleased. We will make Pita a regular stop for casual dining. Healthy options abound for those seeking them – as well as heartier fare. The home-fries are awesome and best served with Amir’s house-made spicy green sauce and ketchup(half and half) to add a real kick in the ass to the experience.

The owner was also our server tonight and was so extremely courteous and nice. Portions were outstanding! We had the falafel appetizer, lamb kabob and beef shawarma. The lamb kabob was the best by far; extremely juicy and a great smokey flavor. The veggies along with it were grilled to perfection. The rice served with both was delicious and there was TONS of it. Their pita bread was also excellent. It was full and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Definitely coming back!
