I was excited to try a new place In El Paso. I’m no longer familiar with El Paso so culinary delights in the area are a treat. Peking Express gave me the idea of a mom and pop Panda Express. Something more personal. I was way off. Service was okay. My server was slow however it wasn’t her speed. She just had a hard time understanding what I was saying. Needless to say she forgot my tea, which she served with her had on the rim. Servers of America please remember from your mandatory city food handlers course that drinks are served from the BASE of the glass. Food was delivered«cute» based on the selection of dish ware. The soup dishes are typical cheap Asian design plastic and did not match the main food plates which were ceramic. I feel as if they were trying hard to be a comtempory Asian diner but still had that old Coke sign on the wall. Now onto the food. I love veggies and expected more. We keep forgetting Asian cuisine had a lot of veggies, not just the protein. Plus the veggies I did have were over cooked. No snap to them whatsoever. Tw egg roll on the oily side. The Chef needs to be there. The Chef needs to take charge. My sweet and sour shrimp had a nice texture but was bland. The veggies made me sad. There’s graduation across the street at UTEP snd this place is hopping busy. But really it’s not because of the service or food but the prices. It’s super cheap. I got what I paid for. I did not finished my food. My tea was nice without the sugar. I’ll comeback for the black tea.

This place is a joke, the foods sucks they have the worst customer survice in El Paso, and Doroteo the owner is a liyer. He said he would give me a free meal if I retracted, my first review, so I did, but it was all BS. He tricked me into doing it. I called to get what I was promised and I was laughed at. Doroteo knew who I was they the employee called him. I don’t need anything free, I’m eating a great meal from Panda Express. I just don’t appreciate being lied too.

We love Peking express– have tried several dishes, but my favorites are Hunan chicken(tons of veggies and super tender chicken), coconut shrimp(delicious coconut lemon sauce with pineapple chunks– not your typical«fried» coconut shrimp), & the hot and sour soup. Service is always very fast, food comes out piping hot and tasty! We have also used their delivery service and they are very quick.

I order from here around once a month, strictly delivery. I typically order the same thing, that being the General Tso’s combination plate with fried rice, hot and sour soup and an order of pot stickers. I’d like to start with the absolutely fantastic pot stickers. By far the best part of every experience with this restaurant. The General Tso’s chicken is bit sweeter than I would prefer but still very tasty. The fried rice is just ok as well as the chicken wings that come with the combo plate. Finally the egg roll and hot and sour soup are very good, always tasting fresh. Only having one small issue one time with delivery where my meal was a total of $ 14 and the delivery driver arrived with NO change. I tipped the driver the full $ 6 which in my opinion is EXTREMELY generous for a 1.5 mile drive. This practice(which only happened once) put a bad taste in my mouth and has made me wary of paying with cash at this establishment ever again. All in all a decent experience at this restaurant and remains being my «lazy night» Chinese delivery.

I read reviews for this place and thought that there is no way it is as bad as it was being portrayed. I placed an order for delivery at 4:00 pm. I was eating at 4:25. I ordered beef egg foo yung, egg rolls, and beef chow mein. The veggies in the chow mein were crispy and the beef was tender. The egg rolls were perfectly cooked and not greasy at all. My friend said the egg foo yung was delicious and she would order it again. I was very pleased with the food and the prompt delivery. I recommend Peking Express to everyone.

Not a fan, I’ve had much worse but this place comes pretty close to it. It wasn’t because of the service or the lack of speed of the food coming out of the kitchen, rather the food was pedestrian. It just wasn’t good, the«fried rice» was horrible. And since when did Mongolian beef have Mexican squash in it? The cut of beef was really cheap and nearly nonexistent on the dish. I’m sorry but if you want to compete with a chain restaurant across the street and three other Asian restaurants in the neighborhood then you need to step up your game. I will not be returning and I don’t know how long they will be open.

I ordered Mongolian Beef. It was over cooked mush that they didn’t care to rectify. I won’t be back.

Revolting, cross the road to Panda Express instead. Ordered Saturday dinner takeaway from here… The Hunan Chicken veggies were all mushy, not spicy, & there were lots of sweet red bell pepper strips in it which was offsetting, did not mix well, and disrupted Hunan style chinese making it sweet instead of spicy. All mush! It was Greasy too with heaps of saucy glob. The Sweet & Sour Chicken was also mushy, not crispy like it ought to have been despite the sauce being ordered on the side. ANOTHERMUSHYDUSH! Their Hot & Sour Soup was forgettable, a shame on a cold winter’s night. Also saw the cook eating food in the kitchen with his bare hands, unsanitary. Won’t be returning again. There’s much better Chinese restaurants for takeaways in the area.

Thank you, Unilocal for giving me a heads-up. Seeing some of the negative reviews made me call ahead of time to ask if they could e-mail me a menu, since I couldn’t find one online. I was told that it was on Unilocal(which it isn’t, they only have a limited one), so I told the guy and all I got was the same directive to check online. If you can’t e-mail me a menu, then you don’t want my business. Terrible customer service. I suspect the food is as bad as others say.

Thieves and liars. DONOTORDERFORDELIVERY. I placed my order at 6PM on Saturday December 5 and my food got to my place at 8:03PM. I called them to ask what was taking so long and the person behind the phone told me the delivery guy had a flat. Well thank you for letting your customer know about the inconvenience before hand. When the delivery guy came to drop off my food, I asked him how his tire was and he was so confused by the question. He told me he never had a flat lol. You damn liars. When I called this place and told them I didn’t want my food anymore and wanted a refund, the OWNER agreed to give me a refund and didn’t apologize for what he put his customer through. Today is December 11 and no refund still. You don’t run a business like that. I hope this one star helps put the rating down even more because you guy don’t deserve it. I’d give you no stars but in order to leave a review, I have no choice. Thank you guys for your excellent customer service, being honest and definitely for not stealing from a customer.

The food was average Chinese food, but not bad at all. I only paid $ 5.95(plus tip) for my lunch, which included a soup, sweet and sour chicken, rice and an egg roll. Not bad at all! Quick, inexpensive, good lunch.

Awesome Chinese joint. Came for lunch and it’s so worth the $ 5.50 price. Includes soup tea and entrée. Egg drop soup was delicious. Ordered the sweet and sour chicken and it didn’t disappoint. It was all really fresh and tasty. Place is clean and nice service.

Very greasy food. Fried rice is the best I’ve had here. The orange chicken has a lot of oil and is a bit soggy. Good hot and sour soup but can be a bit thin with its fillers.

No offense to Panda Express, but this is the Chinese restaurant we’ve been waiting for. The UTEP area has suffered a severe lack of affordable, quick Chinese place with easy parking, and Peking Express should take full advantage of this. They’ve got a lunch special that’s crazy inexpensive for the area. You get a lunch entrée, choice of white or fried rice, choice of soup, egg roll and tea for less than $ 6! Certainly, I’ve tried their Kung Pao and it’s not winning the coveted David Award of Kung Pao Chicken Excellence, but it’s good. The egg drop soup is outstanding, and you simply can’t beat this lunch deal. While it may not sound like a ringing endorsement, I wholeheartedly support Peking Express and will be a regular patron.

I had a group of 15 people. Great service but the food was so poor my students did not finished their plates. Greasy, weird Chinese smelling sauces, overcooked, no delicacy whatsoever.

THE best lunch specials! Not only is the price great for lunch, but the food is so good. I was a bit skeptical at first, expecting not so great Chinese food. But I was pleasantly surprised!

HELLLLOOOOO Peking Express!!! I’m so glad this place is opened and sticks true to the original Peking Gardens around town but with a much nicer atmosphere! Now when going here just know the LOCAL restaurant chain is really geared to a fast meal during the lunch hours but you can definitely go for a typical Chinese food dinner as well. The lunch special is probably your best offer and best reason to go here, especially if you’re part of the lunch crowd and need something fast and delicious: Soup(I recommend the hot and sour), your choice of a lunch plate(I highly recommend the butterfly chicken, the wifey sticks to the General Tso’s if she can order it right and not order Kung Pao if you want some spice, the sesame chicken if not, but you can get beef and veggie meals as well), an egg roll, and a side of rice(fried or white), all for ~$ 6.00! Now the food is classic Peking Garden and fits perfectly among the surrounding restaurants. Don’t go expecting a 5 course meal but you can best compare it to maybe a small step down from P.F. Chang’s. And I’ll reiterate, a SMALL step down because it’s pretty good for the price! Heck, I’ll take Peking Garden(Local) over any major Chinese chain restaurant in town! The service was great when I went but I can see how they are still working out the kinks and figuring things out; considering it’s only been open a few days, this is somewhat expected. The parking is a little brutal here, especially if you go during the lunch hour, so be prepared to grab the first spot you see. Overall, I’m so glad this spot is opened up since I LOVE Peking Garden and now I have one in my backyard! You got all the classic dishes with the best lunch hour specials! Just call me the Duke of Peking Express now! ;-)

First day the restaurant is open, so I wander in. I was a bit surprised to see that it was set up as a sit-down place. Overall, the food wad okay. Ordered the Chocho Beef(beef skewers) and a sesame chicken combo. Flavors were okay, food came out hot. Both dishes were a bit dry. Not major, but resulted in the food being just okay. The beef was just slightly tough. And the chicken ended up being a bit stringy — it was all white meat, which isn’t add forgiving as thigh meat. The service was definitely in need of work. The servers weren’t very knowledgeable, and the menu was to big and not very descriptive. So when I had questions, or took forever for them to go back to the kitchen to get answers. After I ordered, the soup came out quickly, and was decent enough. But literally 60 second later, the beef skewers come out. And in another 3 minutes, the entrée comes out. The entire tempo of the meal felt rushed. I’m less that ½ through my ente, when the server places the check on my table! This definitely isn’t how a sit down place should operate. We’ll see if they iron this out.
