Weird that this listing is for«inni HEART» when the café is called La Tierra… The food here is decent, but BEWARE that they charge you for every damn thing, and without warning! I ordered their tuna tacos, and the waitress was like, would you like tomatoes?(um, duh… they’re fish tacos…) Avocado?(Obviously!) When I get the bill, I was charged $ 1.50 for the tomatoes and another $ 1.50 for the avo… now, this is on top of the already pricey $ 13 or so base price. I get it, avocado is often extra, but tomato?! That’s like charging separately for the cebolla, cilantro, tortilla… come on. Total tab of nearly $ 20 is VERY expensive for El Paso, so for that the food and service need to be a hell of a lot better. Don’t get me wrong; quality-wise, this is one of the better local options, but the price isn’t justified at all, and the sneaky add-ons are just unfair and obnoxious.

I love finding places like this! Im not a stickler for décor and things like that because some of the best food I’ve had has been at small local restaurants. I had the tender veggie sandwich with a side salad, chips/salsa, and their tea of the day. The food and the service was good. I’m excited to return and try some of their other menu options. They make their own house dressings/spreads and the ingredients all taste fresh. Serving sizes are large so go for the ½ sandwich and soup or salad if your torn between the two. Great lunch spot!

I don’t mean to be a downer on this spot but it’s got some improvements to make. First off, I’d actually rate the food a 4⁄5 stars because the menu is full of an eclectic variety of palate pleasing dishes that you can’t go wrong. The food is really unique and includes a great sandwich and soup combo for those colder days. I chose the Just Lucky sandwich and a side order of the Vegetable Tostada soup for my lunch meal and it was large enough to please my 6’4″ frame! The sandwich has a great pesto, cheesy, pepper, chicken flavor that makes every bite worth savoring. Plus the bread tasted really unique and almost freshly baked but I’m not too sure if they bake it in-house. The Vegetable Tostada soup was soooo delicious that if it wasn’t for the delicious sandwich, I would have just ordered a large bowl of soup. The soup is really flavorful, the veggies are crisp but soft, and the shredded tostada adds a nice audible crunch to the meal that you feel like it’s music as you eat :-P

Such a lovely place, full of color and light. Their menu(uploaded on pictures) has comida corrida(and you can pick from any day), options for combos, soups, salads, sandwiches, and entrée specialities. The staff is very helpful and allowed me to sample their tomato-potato soup(very good, I feel in winter it would be perfect to eat) My mom ordered the comida corrida, which was half a cup of soup, half a sandwich(Aye Chihuahua sandwich), a house side salad, and a house dessert(which looked like a muffin with strawberry sauce, it was a simple but with a good sweet taste) It was a good portion. I ordered the chicken chipotle spaghetti-squash with spring mix, chipotle pesto, roasted red peppers over ‘spaghetti’ style squash and feta on top. It was very good, although I would have liked it to be spicy, but that is my own preference. We also ordered the Caramel Pistachio Cheesecake. Wow! It was delicious! Since we liked it so much, we returned the week after and I had their albondiga bowl. It was great. I saw someone on Unilocal mention their Iced Chai Tea, so I ordered one and was not disappointed. It was huge.

I discovered this little place on a summer day when my friend and I were looking for a place to have lunch close to his work on Montana. We saw this house on the corner that said open for lunch before we even saw the name. It was so nice walking in there. The South and Central American influence is displayed all over the place and it gives it a homie yet exotic cultural feel. Their menu items are so different and non traditional. For example the Creamy Chipotle Chicken Enchiladas are not traditionally rolled enchiladas but also the chipotle sauce is pesto infused. That’s my favorite plate by far and it will blow your mind. It comes with rice and a «party» of whole beans. The beans are all different from black beans to hominy. I’ve tried their panini sandwiches as well and they are excellent. The mother of all aguas frescas s here though: Tres Leches Orchata. Must try!!! They make it themselves. A lot of the small things are made in house here like the honey mustard on their salmon salad. I love that. If you’re looking for a different experience and to get away from traditional Mexican food common in the area go try this place! The menu is fun to read because everything has a quirky name to it.

The menu at la Tierra is healthy, modern, and exciting. The environment and staff are bright and friendly. The wait for our food took a while and we didn’t get our food at the same time, but we also had a party of about 16, so maybe that’s why. We started with chips and salsa. The chips were fresh and crunchy, and the salsas were unique and tasty. My sandwich and raspberry lemonade were extremely yummy, although the bread broke easily on my sandwich. Regardless, we all really enjoyed our meals.

Had the chicken chipotle enchiladas, served layered between fire-heated corn tortillas, side of wild rice and bean mix. Called in the order to go since I was by myself but the interior was very neat and felt like home. This is definitely a place I want to go back to because the menu is large and everything on it looks so delicious! The dessert menu looks especially tempting. They have a daily Comida Corrida whwere you get a drink, cup of soup, side salad, ½ sandwich, and dessert for $ 11.99!

IFYOULIKESPICYFOOD, THROWYOHANDSINTHEAIRANDWAVETHEMLIKEYOUJUSTDON’T CARE! Wow, the place totally rocks. I had their Chipotle Enchiladas with beans and rice and I almost fell to the floor! That’s how good they are. I drank their Horchata which is real because you can see the grains of rice in the drink which made me feel like I was in my mother land. This place is a mixture of Mexican food and spicy food, if you catch my drift. They do need to work on their service though. It took them 20 min to come take my order…

From the moment my wife and I walked into this establishment, it felt like home. The place has a very friendly feel to it, and the staff did not disappoint. I had the creamy chipotle chicken enchiladas and they may have been the best enchiladas I have ever tasted. My wife had the wild turkey sandwich, which I tasted and it was also amazing.

Food at this restaurant is, and has always been great. A good place to go during office lunch hours. Unfortunately having to seat there for almost 40 mins(during lunch hour by the way) and still don’t get served was not in our plans. Little to none attention from waitress and/or managers. Had to head to the door and said we didn’t want anything after all. They offered an apology and asked if we could take lunch in boxes. I guess only to not take a loss since they were almost done. Not because this could have made us feel better but a discount on the check, or drink would have definitely helped ease the fact that we had to drive back and eat in the car. Great food /poor customer service

Awesome food… great service and a fab menu! I love going to this place every time I’m in El Paso for work. The staff are so hospitable and kind — the owner gave me a nice hug last time I was there. I try something new every time and it’s never a disappointment. A must try lunch place when in El Paso!

Fantastic food and beverages served fresh and promptly. The décor and ambience are fantastic and I will definitely be taking my friends and family here more often. They also have event nights where dinner is served followed by a performance — a first I’ve heard of since living in Seattle and seeing Teatro ZinZanni. A welcome and beautifully artistic addition to El Paso culture and cuisine. I highly recommend this place.
