The food is really good, my favorite is their machaca breakfast. I have had a few occasions s of some bad service but it’s not a regular thing.

I have gone through a decent portion of the menu here and it is mostly decent food. It is in no way amazing. There is no flavor that is going to jump out at you because they don’t season things the way other fancy places do. There are a million Mexican restaurants in EP so I don’t understand why you don’t try to go a step above the competition. The rice and soup sides they give you are pretty good. The beans and cheese is bland. I had the carne asada tacos and they had barely any meat and tons of chopped jalapeño. I would not recommend them. The menudo is actually pretty good here. I wouldn’t say the food necessarily needs to be spicier like some other reviews. I think if you build some good flavor you don’t have to hide behind a giant belt of heat. The ambiance is somewhere just above divey. I don’t know what I would call it exactly. The food is at a pretty good for the price point and it is close by. I am a return customer for those reasons alone.

Just off a long journey from the United Kingdom, all I wanted was some good huevos rancheros. After our first choice was closed, we ended up here. Sadly, my craving wasn’t really satisfied. They use a sort of sweet, salsa-like sauce instead of green chile, and they wasn’t very nice. The eggs and hashbrowns were acceptable, but the beans were a bit bland. It’s not bad food, just kind of plain. The service was prompt and friendly and the space was nice for a small café in a strip mall.

Midweek lunch time. Pretty busy but no wait for table. Cozy but light and bright. Quick friendly service. My husband was excited cause he could get breakfast for lunch. Always a plus in my book. Food was fast. Well my beef tacos were fast. The omelette didn’t take much longer. But very yummy for a quick filling lunch. For $ 20 you can’t beat it. Plus there were several choices on the menu. It is pretty close to us. The only real downside is no alcohol. Which of you are doing lunch isn’t too bad. Clean bathrooms. Acceptable music level.

Whenever my boyfriend says«Do you want to get Mexican tonight?» I know that he really means«Do you want to go to Delicias tonight?» And like any cuisine, I have my favorite… a favorite that was established years ago and will never change(shout out to the Northeast El Zarape!) so while Delicias is good, it doesn’t blow me away because I’m comparing it against my favorite. As an out of towner or a local that doesn’t have a favorite Mexican restaurant(shame on you!), Delicias will be a good choice to dine to eat the typical El Paso fare. I wouldn’t call DC a hole in the wall, but it’s not far from it. The tables are a little interesting and appear to be hand crafted. They all have pictures graved into them. We’ve gone here more times than I can remember and every time I have the feeling of busy walls, but I honestly can’t tell you what’s on them so perhaps they aren’t busy at all… they just give me that feeling. The one thing that I’ve learned is never wait to be seated. And this actually goes for most Mexican restaurants in the area(key word: most, not all). Seat yourself. Service is pretty average in my opinion. Not slow, but no pep in their step either. There isn’t really a feeling of «Glad you came in today!», but it also doesn’t have an unwelcoming feeling either. As Amanda C. previously stated, «…big portions you always have to leave half of the plate…» Couldn’t agree more! I always have leftovers. Every time I’ve been here I just order the steak tampiquena. I know I like it and nothing on the menu jumps out at me as «Wow! That’s different!» or «Oh, I need to try that!» The menu is the exact same menu I can find in the Mexican restaurant on the next street or the next one or even the next one. The good news is the price is on par with what you’d expect from any Mexican restaurant in EP. The steak tampiquena is a fine choice, nothing in particular that sticks out to me about it, but it’s good. The sides are the usual, I just wish the beans came with cheese melting on top to give it a little oomph. All in all a good place for a stop if you’re in the area. Portions are big, prices are nice, and food is good. And their salsa is decent too.

This little restaurant is down the street from my grandparents house so it was very convenient. Nothing super special but overall very good Mexican food. I like that the majority of meals come with delicious Caldo. We ordered the Choriqueso which was to die for!!! Came with fresh tortillas. The chips and salsa were ok, chips got stale as they cooled. Everyone’s meal looked delicious from Barbacoa burritos, to cheese enchiladas, and the majority of us got the flautas with sour cream and«guacamole sauce.» Overall very delicious. Their homemade limonada was also a huge plus. Careful when going in large groups as they charge you gratuity and don’t bother to tell you. Still worth a try though.

I came here with my family and loved the atmosphere and service. The meal came with caldo which everyone loved. I had the Gorditas, my wife had the poblanos and the kids had the flautas. Everyone enjoyed their food and our server Luisito was great. I highly recomend this place.

Great food, big portions and very reasonably priced. The choriqueso is amazing! I have been twice while in El Paso for work and have never had service issues. It’s a fantastic little restaurant with great bang for the buck.

I was disappointed based on the local recommendation. The soup was really good but the rest of the meal was not up to par. The chili con queso was flavorless and slightly cold so tasted greasy. I got the chili relleno special of the day It was better than some I have had in Las cruces but still pretty bad. At least you can see the skin was grilled and peel off while no seed was in the chili. Thank goodness. The cheese was nonexistent the batter was greasy and the red sauces was not very good. The sides were cold. He had the enchiladas plate. It was ok not very flavorful. Too bad I was looking forward to a fantastic meal from a Las cruces institutions.

Rude! I stood at the door, no one greeted me. I proceeded to carry my son in his car seat, over people’s head, through their crammed restaurant to the register to place my to go order. Still no one acknowledged me. Too bad they lost my service.

I was extremely disappointed. I ordered the red cheese enchiladas. The red sauce had no flavor and no spicyness. The food was cold. I will never return. Trust me, pay attention to all the negative reviews of this place. I wish i had. It is truly awful.

High expectations… really disappointed! My husband ordered menudo, since it arrived at our table we notice a really strong not nice smell, rotten food that was the smell, we gave it back to the waiter and change our order. I ordered gorditas, let me tell you something those are the tiniest gorditas I have ever seen no flavor no salt nothig, they came with rice and frijoles. The rice was old because when you take a bit it feels hard to chew, and the frijoles tasted burned the only good thing was the water horchata water that’s it. DEFINITELYNOTTHEBESTMEXICANINELPASOLIKETHEY like to promote in their comercials

I frequently visit this establishment since it is close to my home and the only Mexican restaurant within 5 minutes. However, The food, service and price is enough to make me travel farther. I have watched this family owned restaurant grow over the few years and it should! Definitely casual dining and a reasonable cost. Its a must try!

Very simple and highly economical. Had a breakfast burrito which was about medium sized(using chipotle as scale) and were very basic. Not a bad quick bite to eat. Let server know your intent(quick bite or going to lounge for breakfast) Looked clean and seems to have a fair share of regulars. That means you better tip well or you«aint going to be paid no mind».

I use to love this place but ever since we found a 5 inch hair in barbacoa tacos, I will never eat here again! Not to mention the staff forget they are working & mess around as if they’re at home forgetting to tend to the customers!

Food was not bad at all but similar to other mexican food restaurants in El Paso. I might have had my expectations set a little high due to the commercials I have seen on this place. I think it is comparable to Carnitas Queretaro although the chips were a little chewy instead of crispy, but aside from that, food was great. I have to say though the price was very reasonable and you will not walk out of here still feeling hungry that is for sure. Service was great very attentive.

Good Mexican food, big portions you always have to leave half of the plate, but it is cheap and good food, I like the menudo and huevos divorciados.

Whoa. This place is awesome. Good food. Good service. Good prices. Came here for lunch one day with coworkers and honestly didn’t expect much; they said it was authentic and it didn’t disappoint. I ordered the cheese enchiladas and for 6.99 it came with chips & salsa, vegetable soup, rice and beans, and three enchiladas! So much food and it was all delicious! The food was served promptly and with a smile– I seriously can’t wait to come back here! Nothing fancy about the place, it’s in a strip mall, but don’t let the humble exterior deceive you– the food is awesome.

This place is the jam! I actually came here after reading the reviews on Unilocal while driving looking for something to eat. So thank you, to my fellow Unilocalers who did a wonderful job of persuading me to this awesome Mexican restaurant. I’ve been back several times since. The food, is amazing. It is very reasonably priced(I got the Carne Asada tacos for under $ 8). I believe that most of the entrees include caldo that is brought before your meal. I’m not a real fan of caldo, but this place has definitely changed my perception. I’ve tried the other dishes that people have ordered and they were just as tasty as my own plate. Now, the one thing I want to rave about is their rice. I know that spanish rice is often overlooked in the Mexican dining culture, but I consider myself a connoisseur of sorts. Their rice has to be one of the best(and consistent!) side dishes I have had in all my years of Mexican food eating. Overall, I would recommend this place to everyone and anyone looking for yummy Mexican food at a reasonable price. The service is always top notch. It’s a very small and quaint little restaurant that is a great setting for good food and conversation. They also have really tasty(fresh!) agua frescas. After writing this review, I think I’m going back tonight!
