Careless staff. I ordered a General Tao chicken entrée which did not taste like the sauce I am used to. Unbelievably bland. The rice that they use seems to be the 1 minute box rice, I don’t know how else to describe this place other than the furthest thing to semi-authentic chinese food. 3 stars because the place is very clean and modern. You’re better off going to Pei Wei across the street

Please do not go to this place rude service, the cashier with gapped teeth, orange hair does not help with ordering. Standing at register looked at by the cashier like one is the ignorant for even staring at the menu. No one tells you to grab utensils at entrance. There’s only an arrow pointing towards register. I was not explained if the drink was included in anything, what the combos included. I will not be returning if the owners Cared for there business they would employee people who could offer optimal customer service to a new guest. No wonder this place is empty. Cashier also refused to allow me too speak with manager changing her response as to why I could not speak with them. Spoke with owner Lili a polite lady. She gave me almond cookies, but the reality is you can’t just offer customers cookies in return for poor service. If the people you hire don’t care for anything other than a paycheck the business won’t succeed. You are better off going to Pei wei, good food & customer service. More

Family owned, very nice owner. I get the sesame chicken EVERY time I go and it’s delicious. Prices could be a bit cheaper, but the food does not disappoint! Best Chinese food in EP!!!

Love this place. When I first came I didn’t expect much because of the style of how your order… You walk up to the counter to order and pay there. I got the salt and pepper shrimp with cabbage salad and my sister got the Mongolian beef. Both were very fresh and very tasty. My dish came with a cabbage salad which i can’t wait to have again. Next time I am craving Chinese food in El Paso, you know where to find me…

Everything I’ve tried here is really good, they serve you plenty for what you pay. I’ve gone twice for lunch and came out with enough leftovers for dinner. Staff is friendly all my friends like it.

Yes, as good as it gets for the money, Co Li: Delicious, authenic Hunan style(which to me means smokey hot) dishes. Well prepared with fresh crispy vegetables. Pleasant, contemporary look with comfortable chairs and booths. Bigger than it looks from outside. Has a nice outdoor dining patio — could be fun with a group of friends. Very pleasant staff. I’ve had only the Hunan chicken with cabbage and carrots, with a bowl of sweet & sour soup. Try to stay paleo so skipped the rice and crispy rice noodles. I love well prepared Hunan style cooking and the brown sauce on this one was just perfect; just the right heat, smokeyness color, and consitancy. Vegetables were crisp and perfect. Stands out in all regards. Place order and pay at the counter and they deliver to table.

I really like this place. It’s a nice fusion of American Chinese food and actual Chinese food. El Paso has many delicious restaurants but I always end up at this one when I am in town! It’s worth a try for anyone in the area.

Best Chinese in El Paso! I wish I had realized sooner that Chef Lili had opened this place because I definitely had missed her food(previously Moon Day on Mesa). Now that I found this place my family and I will be regular customers. My family and I went yesterday for the first time and ordered the Hunan Chicken, Broccoli Beef, Hunan Beef and Chicken Lo Mien. Everything tastes great, no bland tasting food that you find often at other Chinese restaurants and buffets here in El Paso. Hunan chicken and beef was just the right amount of spicy, had a little kick. I don’t think you can go wrong with anything you order as everything is fresh, cooked to order. Highly recommend this place, definitely worth the drive no matter what side of town you live by.

I really like their salt and pepper beef. It’s a little spicy but so good and addictive. They definitely have a winning formula here, I love the cabbage salad that is my go-to side with their meals. I had a pretty bad bubble tea from here one time so I’d pass on that.

A big NO. There is nothing authentic or pleasant about tasteless, overpriced food. This Pei Wei wannabe type of restaurant fails to make the mark as a place that offers a nice atmosphere in which to dine in, and gives a forced trendy dine-in experience. The spicy beef noodle soup uses the wrong noodles in an oily broth that left such a disappointed taste in my mouth. The«fresh vegetables» included a few pieces of cabbage with random surprise bean sprouts. I remember Moon Day restaurant and miss the food. Unfortunately, this place is nothing like it.

Great dishes that have some serious bang for your buck. I love the food here. Highly recommend trying this place out if you haven’t. I hope they expand with chilled sake or a saketini or something as a variant to just import beer and standard wine.

I’m a fan. I would like a bigger menu, but the food here is solid and the simple menu probably explains the good consistency from visit to visit. You order at the counter and your meal is delivered to your table fresh and hot, most dishes are served as a «bowl» served on top of steamed rice.

Casual Atmosphere with a peiwei layout. Great food, and amazing service. Great for a quick bite! You won’t be let down.

Lili and her staff are nice people. The restaurant is clean, bright, and modern. As other reviewers have mentioned, the format is fast casual, where you line up, order, pay, take a number, and then your order is brought to your table. Unfortunately, the food is pretty terrible. The most fundamental item in CJK(China, Japan, Korea) cuisines is the rice. It’s very easy to produce wonderful, steamed, white rice: buy good quality rice and a good steamer, measure the rice into the steamer pot, rinse, measure appropriate water to the amount of rice, shut the steamer, and press the button labeled«White Rice». When the steamer is finished, take a rice paddle, and gently fluff the steamed rice. The rice from CoLi was lumpy and tasteless. I picked up an order of Sichuan Beef, Salt and Pepper Shrimp, fried dumplings, and hot and sour soup. There was an excessive amount of dried, red chili powder on the beef and shrimp. Despite this hot spice, the beef and shrimp were bland. Salt and Pepper preparation should result in a crispy, salty, and peppery exterior to the primary ingredient, in this case, shrimp. The shrimp from CoLi had a bread-like, batter coating. Like the rice, the shrimp were tasteless. Although I was told the dumplings were home made, they looked and tasted like they came out of a bag in the freezer. I hesitate to write these reviews of Chinese restaurants in El Paso, because El Paso’s unknowing diners go to these restaurants, shovel down the poor quality food, and then write glowing reviews. CoLi was packed tonight, Sunday night, with families eating dinner. None of the families were Asian. From what I could see, Lili and I were the only Asian people in the restaurant. This is not authentic Chinese food, far from it. It is a poorly executed, facsimile of Chinese food. I have eaten Sichuan food in Sichuan, Hunan food in Hunan, and Beijing food in Beijing. I lived in Hong Kong for ten years. I know Chinese food. If you like CoLi, more power to you. Don’t let my review stop you from patronizing these nice people. If you’re looking for Chinese food, go elsewhere. One star is for the food, another star is for the pleasant and sincere attitude of Lili and her staff.

OUTSTANDING From the very friendly service to the cute ambience, this restaurant serving FRESH authentic Chinese food is a gem. A little off the beaten path, on Remcon and Mesa across the parking lot from Home Depot. To recommend people to go to a chain Chinese restaurant when you have«home cooked» Chinese food is ridiculous

CoLi is a Pei Wei type model where you walk in and order then take a number to your table. The selection of iced teas is great with plenty of sweet and unsweet flavors. The atmosphere is also pretty trendy and clean. The food was mediocre at best. It seemed frozen and/or made from mixes, not very fresh tasting. I had General Tso’s chicken and my husband had the curry grill chicken, and we split an order of spring rolls. All lacked in flavor and were kind of mushy in texture. Overall, I’d say if you’re looking for a casual Asian fusion meal, go to Pei Wei.

Everything about this place is great. We visited on a Thursday night and were pleased to find that they were showing football. The place looks really clean, from the cash register you have a view of the cooks in the kitchen. I like the ordering style, the cashier was very friendly. The seating area was nice and open and well lit. The restrooms were nice and clean too. We ordered crab rangoons which were delicious. My husband’s entrée was teriyaki chicken, mine was spicy curry chicken. Both came with soup, we both ordered egg drop. The food came out promptly and was hot, fresh and delicious. For dessert we had fried ice cream, also delicious. The pricing is very reasonable, nothing is over $ 10. I couldn’t find anything wrong with this place, everything was done right!

This place is clean with a very friendly staff. The food was ok… I had the sesame chicken plate and it was ok but the sauce was too thick too much starch for me. I also had he wonton soup and it was too strong for me. There was a powerful flavor that I could just not figure out what it was but it just wasn’t for me. My husband and the Mongolian chicken plate and egg drop soup. He finished his plate he did say his soup was too thick. I tried it and it tasted a lot better than mine. It also comes with own ton strips and those were good. Probably the only thing I liked about my plate. The prices are decent except for the drinks. Nearly $ 3 for a soda… Really!?!

Remember Moon Day? This is it, only more casual. Lili from Moon Day(And the inspiration for the name of the old Bejing Lili’s, has opened a nice casual place on the west side in a sort of hidden strip center location. Everything I have tried has been great, with my favorite being the Spicy Crispy Fish with Creamy wasabi sauce. Hands down, Lili makes the best Chinese on the west side, and possibly the city. Best fried rice anywhere. For a treat, go off menu and ask for the Chicken Tan Tan. The servers are very friendly and knowledgable of the offerings, and even though the style is casual order first-sit-serve, they come around frequently to help. Great place.

First of all, I want to mention that I have lived in China in the past and it has been difficult to eat at many Chinese restaurants in El Paso, because it is not the same. The atmosphere is great in this restaurant. This is a bit different from the usual Chinese restaurants in El Paso. You have to order at the front and then you take your order number and the food is taken to you. The waitress/sales clerk is a really nice person and greeted me with a welcoming smile. It is a nice modern looking place, kinda hidden by the strip malls and Walmart. Cleanliness says a lot about a restaurant and this place has it. The price is fair I would say, since the quality of the food is absolutely great! I ordered the spicy beef noodle soup. I have always wanted to try a place where chinese noodles were served as close as possible from China. The great news, this place has it! The beef was tender and the broth was exquisite. It was not salty like most Chinese restaurants in the US. This was what caught my attention, the food was not completely adapted to the El Pasoan palette. It stuck to its original roots, Beijing. I will definitely go again and take more people to try this great restaurant.
