Had an extremely hard time finding the place since it isn’t even called«At the clay ground» it’s actually named«Paint & Create» so we drove around in circles a bit. The only worker that was there was very little help, even after telling her it was our first time being there. Basically told us to pick a sculpture and color. Our little girls were telling her which colors they wanted and the worker got frustrated since they weren’t saying the actual names of the colors. She also didn’t offer us to use stencils or sponges just gave us paint brushes and left us alone. The pottery is a bit over priced for their size.

I came here with my «little» in the Summer of 2013. because I mentored with«Big Brothers, Big Sisters» at the time. Through the program I received a gift certificate for this place. Even though they were under new ownership, the man in charge allowed us to use it. My little and I had a great time. The staff was knowledgable, friendly & helped our pieces of hardened clay transform into something that looks like pottery(I’m not the most artistic person). I’m hoping to come here again to make more pottery before I leave El Paso later this year.

Such a fun place for all ages! I’m currently spending my summer in El Paso working as a nanny so I find myself taking the kids(ages 11, 7 and 5) somewhere almost everyday, and I’m very happy we came across At the Clayground! Painting pottery is fun for all ages, with cute bunny statues to firetrucks for the kiddos, and plates and more for the parents! Jorge was such a great employee, the kids loved getting help from him! The only reason I’m not rating 5 stars is they couldn’t accept my American Express card, however the experience we had here was AWESOME!

Do not come here! I’m a teacher and I took my kids on a field trip because i’ve been to other places such as these out of town and always had a fun time. The woman that took care of us was so rude and didn’t even come and introduce herself to the kids. She didn’t even talk to the kids and couldn’t even be bothered to put a smile on her face. She was a total jerk, you would think she would work somewhere where she wouldn’t have to deal with children on a daily basis. The parents that came along also complained about the unproffesionalism of this person. I will never come here again.

We’re always looking for something new to do and ways to entertain the kids. I took my little girl to this great pottery studio. It was great for her but I want to go back and paint some myself. There is a wide variety of pottery to choose from. There’s anything from mugs to planters and platters. There are also mosaics to work on. Prices vary from the kind of pottery you pick. They also have packages for parties and showers. We really enjoyed it here!
