The name is misleading, but you can’t beat the quality, esp with regard to the price and huge portions. Although the décor is campy, I don’t think its any worse than a casa jimenez mexican restaurant. In fact, I like the faux rainforest vines! Svc can be inattentive, but eh… Can’t beat it for a quick, cheap meal that is sure to fill ya up. Worse come to worse, there’s an In n Out across the street!

I’m surprised they have good Phở and eggroll with vege crap. The place look like a oversize cheap lounge with simple KTV stage, decorated and painted in green, like a jungle… haha quite funny! They do have Blue Moon beer on tap! nice!

This place is ridic. LOL first of all– this place has nothing to do with Thai food for those of you complaining there’s no pad thai… «thai» is also a Vietnamese name or it could be a verb that means«slice». I was surprised to walk into a jungle when I came in here– which is cool because it reminded me of cafes in Hanoi. But as I’m sitting there looking at the décor, I couldn’t help but notice how tacky it actually is. It looked less like Hanoi and more like the jungle at Disneyland’s Pirates of the Caribbean. Why is there a log cabin anyway in this restaurant? And flowers are stuck to the walls and vines are oozing out of the ceiling. But I thought, «whatever the place looks like, if the food is good, then the food is good. Ordered the phở thai, thinking, «man, this is really inexpensive phở» Got what I paid for. Quite possibly one of the oddest phos i have ever eaten. The broth was lukewarm and really milky– sort of like instant phở mix. I’m not accusing them of using TopRamen seasoning packets or anything– but the broth looks like the sodium soup you get at the bottom of cup-of-noodles. Then there’s the taste– wayyy tooo flavorful… like obscenely rich for phở– it’s just not right. There was tooo much flavor that I got sick of it right away. I couldn’t even finish the concoction… I must’ve eaten a tablespoon of liquid msg or salt or something. Noodles were overcooked. Oh, and why were there so many little things floating in my soup? The ceiling vines must’ve ejaculated little leaves into my bowl… really weird. The rare beef was not too bad though. Basil leaves and sprouts were plentiful although of dubious freshness… oh yeahhh and call me a phở snob if you like, but phở should be served with LIME not LEMON. there’s a subtle difference between the two that makes all the difference in the world. It’s like serving sweet basil instead of thai basil… you just can’t substitute some things very well. My father ordered a rice dish that he says was very good– it certainly smelled good– so I guess they pull off their rice dishes better than their phở… i’d go with one of those if you insist on patronizing this establishment. As for the service– the service is good. Not much English spoken here but you can get by. Server was very nice and friendly. that’s why I gave an 2nd star. But will I return? Phoget about it.

Let’s go eat! Where? Rain Forest! Wait… this is a phở restaurant… you tricked me!!! I came here for lunch and there was one other table occupied. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice looking if you’re into the whole Rain Forest type of theme. The restaurant was very clean as well. The service was quick and attentive. I didn’t have to stand there waiting for a server/hostess to have me seated as I was noticed right away. Since I was by myself :(she sat me in a booth. They have an extensive menu. One entire page dedicated to phở, and the rest are broken down into rice, noodles, appetizers, and drinks categories. I ordered the phở tai nam gan bo vien(rare and well done beef flanks with tendons and beef balls… haha, stop laughing! =/) with a thai tea. The veggie dish they provide were nice and fresh, and also just washed before they brought it out. Some places don’t do that and they let it sit out and the veggies start to dry out, but not here. The sever brought out my phở and thai tea at the same time within five minutes after placing my order. Man, that’s quick!!! When I saw the bowl she brought out, it was a smaller bowl when I swear I ordered a large. I took it anyways, didn’t wanna bother with the drama or what not. When I tasted the broth, first thing I said was«wow! this is f*cken good…» The broth was nice and clear, VERYVERY flavorful. It didn’t have much oil floating around the top either. Their were plenty of meat and noodles. The beef itself were perfectly cut and they weren’t like thin strips or shredded or anything; they were just perfect! The tendons were nice and tender; they weren’t the big round ones other places serve, these were more like strips. I loved the broth flavor so much, I left about ¼ of it left in the bowl as I had no more room for food. On a side note, I usually don’t drink the broth. Good thing it wasn’t a large either because I was so full after finishing: D The thai tea was good. Not too sweet nor was it watered down. Very satisfied. Like a fat kid loves cake!

Straight up? YOUWANTMETOBEHONEST? You can’t go wrong with the well priced, well portioned phở at this place. Stands up with all the other great Phở places I’ve been too… and I especially enjoyed sharing the time with the person I was with. :)

Not the greatest place, but it’s not bad. I came here a few weeks ago and I was the only one in the entire place, and it was dinner time. The ambiance was wierd. kind of felt like I was in the Rain Forest Café. I was expecting for animals to start coming alive. I ordered their Special, which had a little of everything. The phở was decent, and the broth was tasty. I might go back, but with the place so empty and dead… it was just a little too creepy for me.

Was craving for Phở when we visited my inlaws in the area. I’m not going to make a long review. But, the Phở taste like warm water a few dash of salt. I had to use lots of spices like sriracha to give it a flavor. Now, I am no expert in Phở, but I know when Phở is delicious or not. Afterall, this place is close to MPK, the Phở heaven. The noodle house down the street is much better.

I tried this place for dinner because it was open until 10PM(it was 9PM when I was looking and most Vietnamese places around there were closed). I had a simple Phở Tai, but the noodles were overcooked. I’ve had better phở than this place. Will not be coming back.

I see nothing wrong with Phở Thai. Except that they don’t have any Thai food. False advertising. There’s phở here and all other various vietnamese goodies. The portions are nice, phở is always hot, noodles al dente, creepy ambiance, CHECKCHECKANDCHECK.

The environment is very nice; however didn’t like the taste of their Phở. It’s either they didn’t wash the bowls clean or their noodle was dipped in soup. My wife and I both thought the noodle tasted a bit weird. Thank god, nothing happened to us.

Decent food. I’ve been here for both lunch and dinner and it’s never very crowded. Service is neutral — not particularly friendly nor dismissive. The food itself has been pretty solid for me. Nothing stood out as particularly good or bad but definitely sits more on the edible end of the spectrum(as opposed to non-edible). Portion sizes are pretty good too. The rice dishes are more than I can eat in one sitting.

Perfect for a quick meal. This is not a place where I want to have a dinner date with my girls or anything… As a matter of fact, I come here for a quick bite and I get that. They are quick. So if you’re one of these people who must have your appetizer before your entrée, then order your appetizer, and once it’s out, then place your entrée order. The food is good clean food. I have been here a total of 4 times now and I appreciate that the server notices that I have more soup than noodles, so he noticed that and brought me more soup. He kindly says, «next time, just order it large, no noodles…» –I can appreciate that kind of detail and observation. It’s the little things, right? I love their pennywort drink and it’s 100% plant. I request mine with no sugar. Note: for all credit card transactions less than $ 10.00, there is an additional $ 1.00 charge… I can completely understand. With such a great bargain on their dishes and low margins coupled with the merchant tellers taking a 2.5−3.5% rate… it’s completely fair. It’s good, delish. I’ve ordered Phở Tai, Egg Rolls, Bön Bo Hue, and the Bun Thut Nuong, and have not been let down. I have uploaded a menu for your convenience.

Tried this restaurant first time today. We loved the food, especially the BBQ chicken on rice with tomato sauce. It’s an unique dish there. The chichen is small but the skin is crisp and quite tasty. We went around 1:30pm on a Mon., so it’s quite. I’m not a fan of their interior décor though. Looks to be a semi-pro or non-professionally designed.

Saw that place from a far several time. Outside look decent. We got hungry and decided to give the place a shot. A run down phở joint that offer karaōke and a bar. Waiter kept asking if I wanted to sing — nooooo I don’t want to sing. Place poorly lit and dirty. Food sub-par. Would not come back again.

Before entering, my mind-set was«okay, i love phở and this is just going to be another typical phở restaurant and then after eating, i will continue to live happily ever after.» LITTLEDID I KNOW, this place had more than just good phở, but the atmosphere really took me away. The restaurant really had the ambiance I was looking for especially after a long day of stress from school, work and killer LA traffic. I loved how I immediately felt as if I had entered a tropical island of some sort right when I entered the door. I couldn’t help but nudged my friend and shared my feelings at the moment with him and he gave me a weird look as if it was my very time entering a phở restaurant. He was right. It really was my first time entering a phở restaurant with that great of an ambiance that every phở lover and customer so deserve! Just a heads up, what i want to call this place, my little phở ‘paradise’ also has a little bar with a good selection of draft beers. NOTONLYTHAT, but they also have karaōke! SAYWHAT!!! As a phở fanatic, Hands down to Phở Thai, the restaurant with the whole package I’ve been adventuring for and have finally found. I dont speak vietnamese but Cam Ung!

The food was great but the service was pretty bad. It took about 10 mins to get our order taken and the check never came. We have to walk to the cashier to pay for it. I would recommend anyone who wants to eat here to get take out. I still left them 2 dollars tip. I should’ve just left with no tips.

Its not that the place is expensive. Why a 2 for price then? It’s because you’re paying for crap! They need to identify their market. Are you selling Phở, running a karaōke joint, or opening a bar? Pick one! This place was disturbing ranging from the food to the service to the environment. The food is horrible compared to locations around. The service is almost non existent! Sloppy service! This place is in a great location and opens late for the late bowlers next door which might explain why they’re still in business. That and as mentions below the owner might be doing something shady! It’s never busy here why is it still open? Food: 2 Service: 1 Environment: 1 Price: 2

MSG? check Lime in my water? check Tiny tiny tiny piece of lemon on my veggie plate? check Very dry, flimsy, OLD basil leaves on the plate? check! When I asked for extra cilantro they brought LOTS. But they brought me pretty much just a bundle. I sat there and picked off the leaves. Onions in the phở were freshly sliced. They gave plenty of lemons when we asked for more. They gave lots of bean sprouts. None were very fresh though. Basil leaves looked like someone dropped them at the market and people walked over them. Thats gross. I was craving some crunchy yummy egg rolls. I ordered egg rolls. Let me save you $ 6, don’t order them unless you like eating baby food. They brought out the whole veggie platter with the egg rolls. Great! The egg rolls were uhm… I wasn’t sure what was in it. It was just a bunch of MUSH in there. I won’t go back here. Its a vietnamese restaurant/bar. Who drinks here anyway? It was empty but i saw maybe like 2 – 3 customers taking to-go food.

One of the more decent phở restaurants around! Nothing can be closer to where I live and nothing can taste better from any location. I always get the phở dac biet, and I must say this bowl of goodness is good. The noodles are perfectly cooked and the broth is just delish ! I’ve tried one other dish there, and it was pretty good. only if I could remember the name
