We are new to Kamps and recently had a hardship in our family. We got behind on our bill by a month. And had our service shut off. We never received anything saying that service was going to be stopped, the only thing we did receive was our regular bill said absolutely nothing about being shut off. On 11/11/2015(Veterans Day) a rep came to the door and told us that we either needed to pay in full of we would be shut off. My Husband(who happens to be a vet) answered the door and told them we did not have the money at the time so we were immediately disconnected. Today 11÷13÷15 we managed to pay the bill in full and were informed that they would not be able to reconnect us until Monday meaning we will be without service the whole weekend. My three year old has serious dietary restrictions and has to have fresh home cooked food my stove is propane so this has presented a major health concern as the only thing I have to cook with now is a microwave which I explained to two different reps over the phone, but they wouldn’t budge not to mention that it’s November and freezing! I am not upset about the service being shut off, I understand that that is what happens when you don’t pay your bills. What I don’t get though is why when we were only a month behind they did not hesitate to shut off our propane, but once they have been paid(including the $ 75 fee) that it takes three days to turn it back on especially after explaining the severity of the situation.
