This place hasn’t changed much at all since high school. Regular size chicken katsu is still enough for a meal an a half, though you could finish it all in one sitting if you are hungry enough. I like how they got better tables and chairs now and use square to process cards now. I guess they’re trying to keep up with tech

Amazing food. Great prices. Reminds me of the Krusty Krab from SpongeBob and they even have their own Squidward(a cranky cashier). Other than that, it is one of my favorite places to eat.

Pros, good portions, good food, decent prices overall love the food. Cons are the fried food can be mostly bread and sometimes I feel there is a language barrier when ordering at the register. They cool about customizing plate I think you can sub out the mac salad for a healthier option. Anyway overall good place imo

You won’t hear the waves crashing nor smell the ocean breeze — however Waikiki is definitely better than L&L. The chicken katsu was crispy and juicy — and the steak teriyaki was really good and was cooked just right. The portions come in mini or regular-I shared the regular portion with my kid and that was perfect for my kid and I. The mini portion is not so «mini» it’s perfect for an average hungry person. I wouldn’t make the trip from home however If I am in the area and want something Quick, good and cheap I would choose Waikiki over panda or nations any day. So my question is, what’s the relation between macaroni salad and Hawaiian cuisine– it doesn’t seem to fit in for me but I know it’s a staple side even on the islands. It’s like double the carbs, rice and pasta. I will try the loco moco and Kailua pig next time– I wanted to ease into something easy.

Really solid unhealthy food. I got delivery and would definitely get it again. Get the mahi mahi burger.

Food and customer service and cleanliness has declined heavily over the past 10 years. Environment and product should only satisfy young people who don’t know any better.

this place is awesome the food is great the portions are so large, two people could split one !!! I recommend the loco moco, my favorite piles of rice, two beef patty’s, gravy and two eggs and a pile of macaronic salad !!!

I got the chicken katsu and they certainly don’t skimp out on the meat for this dish. My boyfriend likes the katsu sauce here more so than the one in Berkeley, it’s not as sour. My boyfriend got the combo mix plate, and theres three thin slices of different meats over some shredded cabbage. He said it wasn’t his favorite just because the meat wasn’t as much as it looked in pictures. This little joint is not too shabby, you’ll just hate yourself after consuming so much katsu and mac salad(although it’s pretty darn tasty).

Across the street from Pier 1 Imports is a little orange store front with a Hawaiian BBQ sign. Walking in its notice to look at but it’s been there a while and it’s a gem of you like Hawaiian plate lunch. I ordered 10 plate lunches today. 5 Kailua pork and 5 chicken Katsu. It comes with 2 cups of rice and macaroni salad. Both were tasty though the pork was a touch salty for my taste. And it didn’t stop me from eating it right up. This amount could have easily fed 13 people full. They also have a nice selection of Hawaiian juices in cans. Nice sweet to cut the salt. Enjoy!

Best bento box, best Hawaiian bbq I’ve had, to me this will always be the original, I’ve had several other Hawaiian bbq places, and though they were ok, none measure up to this one in my opininon.

Fast friendly service. The BBQ Chicken is really good and the mini plates are a nice portion size.

Moving from Richmond to Oakland is a good idea. There’s more to do, more places to eat at, and there’s a better quality of life overall. Unfortunately, I haven’t found the local Hawaiian BBQ place by me yet. Wikiwiki was one of my favorite places to eat at. The staff is friendly and the food is great. The musubi(especially the Spam) are fantastic, and the BBQ plates are epic(I realize that the word«epic» has been cheapened over the past few years through overuse online, but I really mean it!) Pick anything on their menu, and you’ll walk away happy Wikiwiki is one of the places that I look forward to going back to every time I visit the old neighborhood!

Great if you like Hawaiian food and portions are huge. Just keep in mind that a large portion of the meal will be white rice and white macaroni salad.

I mainly come here to get my spam musubi fix before or after getting my nails done next door. I’ve had their entrées before and it was decent but I’m there for the delicious musubi. This is a divey, no frills kinda spot and the service is always pretty straight forward but friendly enough. The prices are a tad bit more compared to other Hawaiian BBQ places I’ve been to but I’m assuming because of its location.

I love this place! Their kimchi is on point and reminds me of the kind I used to get back home on Kauai. They also serve decent poke at a reasonable price if you don’t want to go to Costco. They have excellent kalua and their mini plates are generous, definite value. I don’t get laulau anywhere outside Hawaii cause it’s NEVER made in an imu like at home, so I dint know how theirs one is. Loss of one star because their spam musubi tastes weird, I don’t think they get the teri sauce right and quite honestly it’s NOT that hard. Good selection of Hawaiian Sun beverages but I wish they would have the green tea grape one. Solid customer service and when you call in an order it’s fresh and ready when they say.

Food is good and they get it cooked fast for you. Love their Loco Moco with their macaroni salad. They do have a variety to choose from which are also delicious, like their bbq. There is seating outside and parking as well. It could be a bit cleaner inside, like wiping some of the tables and chairs. Good customer service with greetings when you arrive and leave.

So I’m being nice. The food was alright. And decent. Like the rice was beautiful! And I know you’re thinking how can you go wrong with rice? Oh believe me you can! The Mac salad was good but I had laulau too on my plate so when those two mixed it had a sour taste that I wasn’t feeling so maybe next time make it separate. The Kalua pork was as decent as it gets when it comes to fast food(hawaiian) not too dry but not really moist. Taste was as close as it could get I guess in Cali. The LauLau was good very moist and meat was very tender and moist too! Sad there wasn’t a piece of cuttlefish in it but maybe I’m just spoiled. Next and lastly my saimin. The noodles were very thin not use to it. The taste was there just wished there were more than four pieces of spam. But it was good. Oh and reminder the guy at the cashier not the nicest.

Miss L&L in Hawaii? Well, Wikiwiki Hawaiian BBQ is here to relive your L&L days! This is a no frills Hawaiian BBQ… if you are looking for a large quantity of cheap Hawaiian BBQ then this is your place! The chicken katsu was yummy(and so was the sauce that came with it), the chicken teriyaki steak tasted a little burnt, the macaroni salad was good and the 2 scoops of rice were nice and sticky as they should be. For $ 9 I got enough food to feed myself dinner, share with my husband and eat leftovers for lunch the following day. And a large double burger that costs $ 3.85? What a steal!(And this aint no McDonald’s type burger). Parking: There is both street parking or you can park at the Chipotle right next door(that’s what we did). Note: They make your food WHEN you order it, so you might have to wait 10 minutes for your food to be ready, that is, if there’s no wait to begin with. Definitely coming back here when I get nostalgic for Hawaii’s L&L’s!

I was thoroughly unimpressed by this place… And I’m not to say I know the best Hawaiian BBQ west of the Mississippi, nor have I really had much of the oh-so-good pacific food, but I know for sure that this place does not serve it up very well. My friend and I split the Seafood Combo plate, with fried Mahi-mahi(I’ll just trust that’s what it was), a couple of pieces of fried shrimp, and two beef short ribs. Oh. My. Gosh. The short ribs. Literally, it was like trying to eat plastic or rubber, as my friend put it. I’m not exaggerating, seriously, I had to put my strength to the test and rip the beef away from my clenched front teeth, only to get mostly fat, and pretty tasteless beef. The service(cashier guy, owner?) was pretty bad, not the nicest at all. The water tasted kind of funny, and the place might as well be named Styrofoam central(yikes! sorry environment!). Food wasn’t even good at all, not to mention the teriyaki sauce was basically water. Thanks, but no thanks. I shall never return.
