This is by far my favorite place to eat and grab a beer any day of the week in the El Cerrito/Albany/Richmond area. They have top notch food(the reuben is fantastic) and amazing beers. I always go with the East Bay IPA. Service is also amazing and steady. I have always had a great experience with the staff and bartenders. Do yourself a favor and grab a beer here. You’ll become a regular for sure.

Elevation has turned into our neighborhood go-to. Love quick, assertive service and rotating menu of beers, starters and mains. The burgers never disappoint, one of the best in the area. Also try the Cuban, fish&chips, homemade andouille sausage. Salads and deserts are delish too!

This is a very Loud restaurant, but if you can ignore the noise, the food is very good.

Went here with friends following a day in S.F. The food was delicious and efficiently prepared and the waiter was very friendly. They have a very nice selection of beers on tap and they were good. Everyone enjoyed their food and all agreed that we will return again.

Come for the beer, the food will sustain you. I stopped by for a mini celebration, and saw nothing but good things. Guy next me you had an awesome looking patty melt. Other folks had appealing french fries. But the beer I got, old 66 Strong ale, was superior! Previous trips to this place leave me with the impression that the beer is really something special. Be prepared for a crowd, but it’s well worth the stop.

The service was fantastic! I crave their quinoa and cashews dish. SO good! Another great stop for us while traveling to and from the City.

Diner style atmosphere. Limited menu, not the typical beer grub fare, but where else serves cubano, reuben, & mac-n-cheese on the same menu. Food & beer are true to the ingredients. No risks equates to everything tasting exactly like it should. No bad choices, all is simply good. A no risk spot as a meet-up with friends, or recommendation.

Ordered the flight of beers, grilled cheese, and fries. The fries are super greasy, the grilled cheese is a little weird but decent. Employees are different everytime, but the attitude is the same, and I barely get acknowledged. TERRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE.

This is pretty much my first choice for dining in El Cerrito. Great menu with dedicated chefs/cooks, friendly wait staff, TVs with the latest game on, and great beers on draft. A market salad with Fish and Chips and an Old 66 beer is my favorite combination. The brownie desserts are always a tempting finish to a great meal.

This is my second time here. The first time I ordered some kind of millet and mushroom to try to be healthy. It was pretty gross. But I shouldn’t be ordering that kind of fish in a beer place I figured. 2nd time– The music was too loud and I had to send my burger back because it was totally raw in the inside. I ordered it medium. Even my husband who will eat a bloody steak couldn’t eat his. I really want to like this place, but so far I’m having a hard time.

Really strong, tasty bear and nice greasy foods. Like if I could eat like this every day without consequences it would be pretty cool. You can even bring your kids here, it’s not just like a bar. What’s freaky is that I don’t know how Unilocal knew I ate here. How did you know this Unilocal.( Unilocal asked me to review this place shortly after I ate here). Maybe I clicked a link on Google? :/ Anyway super good food. I will come back!

Delicious food and beer! I got the fish and chips and substituted the chips for pickles. They make their own pickles and they’re delectable. We will be returning next time we’re in the area.

The beer looked good… If you enjoy looking then this is the place for you. However if you enjoy sipping your beverage like the rest of us; then perhaps you should go elsewhere! I’ve been to hundreds of breweries, and this one takes the cake for absolute worst customer service. In no way was our group accommodated, or acknowledged. When we were seated, the waiter hands down had the attitude of a waffle house employee pulling a double. Who knows? Maybe a bad day. I won’t give it a second try though.

My friend and I went to Elevation 66 for a beer and late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was mid-afternoon, so there were ample seats at the bar. Elevation 66 has lofty, industrial décor(complete with exposed duct work and chalk board menu) felt clean and hipstery — just how I like a brewery. The service at Elevation 66 brewery was on point. Our bartender was attentive and helpful in describing the beers they had on tap. Everything on the menu sounded amazing but I decided on the grilled cheese made with manchego(YUM), and heirloom tomato soup. He had the big cubano sandwich and fries(also, YUM)! I had an IPA and he had a Stout. Both of our beers were great, and got us in the mood to keep our day drinking going and start a mini brewery bar crawl around the Berkeley area. I typically like to try new places, but I would put Elevation 66 on the repeat list!

It’s nothing compared to some of the deliciousness coming out of Colorado or San Diego these days, but this no frills eatery and brewery delivers a chill experience on any day. Went straight for the sampler and man, even 6 tasters will get you started on a lazy Sunday afternoon. They skew heavily towards the IPAs, however, so you’ve been warned. Otherwise, there’s a few Belgian options and even some cider options on the menu if you feel so inclined. Food menu is expansive, worth checking out. Their reuben and cubano sandwiches always are a hit with the locals.

When you end up with some time to kill in El Cerrito, Elevation 66 is a great place to do that. Where there is a brewery, the hubs and I will find time for eating and drinking. Elevation 66 began in 2011 by three partners who wanted to create a sustainable brewery environment for the bay area. It’s, conveniently, located at 66 feet above sea level. One of the partners was there during our lunch and was happy to answer any our questions about the beer, food, and bar. One thing that I really appreciated about the menu was that they really seemed to make an effort to make it accessible to those with dietary restrictions. All of their macaroni and cheese is made with gluten-free pasta made with quinoa, regardless of whether you have a gluten allergy or not. If you are sensitive, they switch out the bread crumbs for potato chips. I’m not, but it was nice to give it a try and realize that it was actually delicious. My husband had the Reuben, which he said was one of the best he’s had. Both sides of the bread were crispy, but not over-toasted. The meat was flavorful and the condiments were all fresh and delicious. If you’re in the area and looking for a wonderful brew or some great food, this is definitely a place to check out.

Elevation 66 was on my «I must try this place sometime» list. It moved up to the top of the list after my friend Margret, a very talented painter, has here work hanging here. We met her here on the day her show went up. The wall of the long narrow room is a perfect place to display art work. The table shared: Mary’s free range spicy sriracha chicken wings with a bleu cheese dip and housemade potato chips. The wings were good and I would have them again. The chips were chips they were filling Linda, Frank, and I share the crab cakes. The crab cakes were plate licking good, the crab was fresh and sweet, there was very little filler, and the greens were lightly dressed. Realizing that an artist reception was not the place to revert to greed and embarrassing bad manners I controlled myself. We also had beers. I’m not a beer drinker. I asked for something light and that’s what they brought me, the glass was cold and it looked huge to me, it took me awhile to finish it. I did not make a note of what I had or that Linda and Frank had.

Got back from a long weekend in Vegas and wasn’t able to complete all my food cravings as I was too busy gambling the weekend away. Once I got back home I simply crashed through the afternoon and lucky for me, Elevation 66 does take out. Making the order: Simple as can be. I called around 5PM, wasn’t busy at all. Placed my order in about 15 seconds and told food would be ready in 10 – 15 minutes, which is perfect as I am like a 5 – 10 minute walk away. Buying the food: It was still late afternoon/early evening, so wasn’t busy at all. Thank goodness. Been to the restaurant before, so I know it can get real busy. Order was all set to go by the time I got there. Paid quickly and went back home. Food: Ordered the BBQ pulled chicken sliders and fish and chips. A lot of food I know, but I was super hungry. Both were delicious even though it was take out. I’ve had the fish and chips multiple times, and even take out didn’t miss a beat. Light crispy batter and delicious cod with a generous supply of french fries. Chicken sliders were pretty good too, but my stomach was getting kinda full at this point. All in all, not a bad place to get take out from if you are craving the food but they have limited or no seating left.
