I try not to be negative with reviews because I know how it can effect business and if I have a bad experience I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt and go back a 2nd and even 3rd time. Buut… This place did it for me. The host was very nice but there was a guy, who I’m guessing is either the owner or manager that was VERY unprofessional and rude. I’ve gone a couple of times with a large party(15 – 20) people both times and they make us pay before we sit down. Now that isn’t the problem, it’s when we leave when it becomes a problem both times we’ve paid and once we’re ready to leave the manager tries to make us pay for at least one person twice! We get treated like were criminals and the 2nd time we showed who was on who’s receipt because I didn’t want it to happen again! Well it happen again! There was another time a group of friends(30−35people) all went there and one friend did not eat and left after 10 – 15 mins. He told the manager he wasn’t eating and was just waiting to get picked up. Well the manager told everyone they couldn’t leave until he was paid for. They try to tell him that he didn’t eat but he then called the police. Really for 8 dollars. So they paid the amount and left. I will NEVER come here again and will NEVER recommend this to ANYONE. There’s a Chinese buffet in Lemon Grove off of Massachusetts st. that is very good and the people there are professional and kind. The food here was good I must admit but they REALLY need to work on their professionalism. Just beware of how you might be treated if you go there in a big group. ;)

This restaurant is nasty all around! The food looks like it’s been sitting for hours. Not to mission customer service is horrible! The restaurant employees are very rude. My family and I were told numerous times that we need to hurry because of closing time and it wasn’t even 9:30pm. Never will I go back again bad food and service.

I wish I could give negative stars! This place should not be in business People are rude and food is gross, so greasy and I think they add a lot of sauce so that they can skimp out on the meat. Waste of money

Good plAce to eat some fresh Chinese, me and my girl come here constantly when we get a chance too, very accommodating in every way. Enjoy their steak and crab legs and chicken filled mushrooms and the chicken wings. I can go on and on and on! Haha. Highly recommend this place!

This buffet is by far one of the best ones I’ve had, food is delicious always fresh. Their soups are my favorite. I especially enjoy the chocolate fountain.

This place is less than average. the food is mildly tasty but nothing special. The selection is poor. Not much too choose from. I hate that this place is so incredibly worn out!!! The floor is a gray, green shade carpet with splatters of food and dirt. Literally the whole floor is disgusting! The tables and chairs are ether torn or sticky. It’s just disgusting! It looks like their main focus is solemnly to make money because they can care less about the food or their clients or the restaurant itself. The staff always look like they are stressed or they look at you like they hate you! Seriously they never even crack a smile. You can just feel how much they hate you for coming in to their restaurant. Over all my 2 experiences have been poor. I’m extremely disappointed to see how poor this place treats its customers

Food was okay, they didn’t have a wide variety. Atmosphere was bad, I didn’t feel welcomed. There were no paper towels so I had to dry myself on my jeans, and to my fucking luck I was wearing khaki colored jeans. As I walked out, everyone was staring at me as if I pissed myself, and my social anxiety kicked in; I was so embarrassed. In the end, it was okay. Definitely will be coming back soon.

decent price, lots of selection, and decent quality food. Though I have to say I sorta think it’s a bit below panda express quality(at least with the chicken I had) but you get what you pay for.

Good selection, good food, good price, and for the price its a great deal. They keep the food bar full and clean. Give it a shot and I think for the price its good.

The staff does not help at all, every time I have been there I have gotten the feeling that I was not wanted there, the food is on par with other buffets. Last time I went in there at 8pm(they close at 930) there were still 5 – 6 groups of people eating, but they would not bring out any more food, and you could tell what was there has been sitting there for a bit. I doubt I will be back.

Chinese buffets come in good(common), bad(very common), and very good(rare). This wasn’t anything to write home about, but at least the food is decent. For $ 9 at lunch it’s on the high end, but you at least get a large selection even if the selections themselves are only ok. At least the turnover is quick enough so that most everything is decently fresh. If you’re starving for large quantities of cheap chinese food, def go here. If you want authentic cuisine, forget it.

I wish I could give like a 3 and a half stars because this place is really not bad at all. It’s decent ~Chinese buffet~ food for $ 12 a person(dinner price) so if you’re not a picky eater, you’d enjoy this place. Deducting one star for the mediocre food. I did have a few favorites(cream cheese wontons, coconut shrimp, mushroom chicken, etc.) The rest was okay. It wasn’t bad but most of the food didn’t knock my socks off or was good enough for me to willingly get seconds of. I do have to note that their sushi(specifically the nigiri) was surprisingly fresh for a buffet. Deducting a second star for the customer service. 1) We walked in and waited a bit for a host or someone of sort to seat us and eventually a guy did come BUT he proceeded to talk to another employee for awhile before actually seating us. 2) It takes them forever to take away our finished dishes. And we came on a slow Monday night. 3) Went to get some more food and saw an employee loudly talking on her cell phone WHILE filling up the food trays. I get that it’s slow but really? Come on Despite all that, I will come back again since I’m local

The food is fresh. They have a huge variety of food to choose from. The restaurant is big and good for groups. The parking isn’t the best but it’s worth it! 2 thumbs up from 2 fluffy foodies

My daughter got sick after eating the food there. She ate 11÷23÷15. Her stomach still cant handle dairy products. Be careful if you eat there. The food used to be good, when they first opened. Now they aren’t as fresh. I don’t plan on going again anytime soon.

I guess I’m not a fan of Chinese buffets. They all taste the same to me and almost always mediocre. This is no different. Mediocre food. Dirty restrooms. 21⁄2 stars.

One and done, folks. Came here with a buddy who raved about the place and states he patronizes the place several times a year when in that area. I was not impressed, whatsoever. The food was bland, yet some was saltier than it needed to be(and I like salt). The so-called sushi sucked, but what can you expect from most CHINESEBUFFETS? The waiter seemed grumpy, although the hostess was nice. Would I come back here to eat, regardless of my opening sentence? Sure, if my buddy was driving. and bought.

I don’t even know where to begin… My husband and I were in the area and searched for a Chinese Buffet. New Century was less than a half mile so we decided to check it out. What a mistake! Upon entering, there was an off smell. We were seated in a half booth with a chair right next the server station. There was no curtain or anything blocking view from the station(it was just a collapsible table up against a window with a bunch of dirty dishes and silverware) Now the food… I honestly wanted to walk out as soon as I got a look at the buffet. My husband had ordered a soda so I felt bad to do so. It was horrible there were flies buzzing around. Specifically all over the fruit. I brought myself to get a few things. The hot items were lukewarm. I tried some of the fish and they were way, way too salty! The empty plates were removed promptly, but we were never appointed a server. No one checked on us or refilled our drinks. I will not be back!!!

My friends really wanted to come back and see if this place got any better. So I said sure why not. Wow! What a difference. One, the gross smell when you walk in has disappeared. Two, the food was surprisingly delicious today. Three, it was clean! The hot and sour soup now has an amazing flavor too it that I couldn’t get enough of. And they have new sushi that is actually tasty and edible. The highlight of it all, our waitress was amazing. She was friendly, spoke and understood English and kept plates off our table and plates full. We ended up leaving her a $ 20 tip. She deserved it. I’ve always gotten rude service but she was great. Told our cashier how good she was at the end and she told us they haven’t hired her yet, please please hire her! Thank you Emily for such great service.

If there was a negative star rating I could give, I would. Came here with my family and met up with my sister & brother in law plus nephew for dinner. Wow… Wow wow wow it’s HORRIBLE… Okay so my favorite seafood item is crawfish. My brother in law said it was good there but it tasted like they broke a 5 gal bucket of salt into it. I ended up coughing non stop because it was so salty and I drank way more soda than I usually do at a AYCE buffet. Argh!!! He even said it usually isn’t that salty. Ugh. I tried the crab salad baked onto the clamshell and it was def not tasty at all. Sushi was so-so, not much for variety and the wasabi was weak. That’s a big no no lol. I’ve had way better buffet experiences than this and I have had better«bad» experiences as well. I’m glad that my SIL had $ 9.99 coupons because I wouldn’t have wanted to pay any more than that. There isn’t a huge variety of entrees either. Strawberries were great tho lol
