If you want a chamango then go somewhere else, the drink tastes like watered down mango juice.

Wish I could give them a Zero but I can’t. Will not be back at this establishment. Ordered a Chamango and ended up with a watered down smoothie cream. They threw in 5 – 7 small squares of mango and half of the candy stick to make it look good but it was awful. The place was so hot… no AC in 100* was not acceptable. I will never come back to this place and would not recommend it to anyone I know either.

Food was delicious, however last time I went in they didn’t have fish or shrimp and their fish burritos are so good so I was disappointed. However their food is really good, would like to try their smoothies sometime.

I really wanted Mexican fruit salad, so my bf searched for a place that was still open around 7pm last night l, and this is the place he found. They have an extensive food menu and also a smoothie/frescas/fruit salad menu. What I actually wanted, I didn’t see on the menu, there were other pictures of things they served around the restaurant. So I got a «diablitos» — wish there was more mango, and more flavor in the ice, but it hit the spot. My bf ordered a California burrito to-go and I had a bite of that at home, that was tasty as well. If I had more room in my belly, or didn’t have my sights set on diablitos, I would’ve liked to try some actual fare and all of it is reasonably priced.

I highly recommend this taco shop. Best hot sauce ever. They always cook the food the way I like. The cook made the most delicious grilled shrimp that they made to order for me.

I was craving for chamango and I’m in El Cajon area so I looked for a fruteria in the area and I found lupitas. The cashier took awhile to figure out in the register where the chamango key pad is then later I discovered chamango is also called diabolitos. The server took about 15 min to get my order and overall the chamango was ok. They didn’t put any tamarind or Mexican candy in the drink. They only put Chamoy syrup and mangoes. I got the 20 oz size and its $ 4.75. The taste is a little bit different from what I am used to. I was looking for sweet, salty and spicy. It was lacking the Mexican candy. Lupitas is also serving Mexican food so I will try their food next time. I read good reviews about their food. The place is clean and well kept. Parking is a little bit challenging. The parking lot was almost full when I went on a weekday at 2:30 pm.

my husband and I stopped by today, we bought a large fruit salad topped with cottage cheese, granola, coconut and raisins. Honey on the side, it was so good, everything was ripe and fresh. we can’t wait to go back and try the food. great customer service! My husband and I just got back to our place from lupitas, this is the day after our first review, I ordered the two taco combo plate, lots of shredded beef, homemade rice and beans, like I would serve at my house, it got my approval. My hubby ordered al pastor burrito, big and fat and flavored well, plenty of meat! At $ 4.50 wow! My combo plate was only$ 6.50. We will only eat Mexican food from lupitas. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves good amount of meat in your burrito, taco etc. Give it a try! Great value. We are definitely customers! Yay!!!

OHMYGOD… best carne asada tacos in El Cajon. Not even kidding. Found out about this place because another parent waiting to pick up their kid from a rec-center class had some carne asada tacos from this place while we were waiting outside, and the smell hit my wife & I like a freight train. SOGOOD. Went there that night for dinner and my whole family is HOOKED now. $ 2.55 for a carne asada taco that fills you up? Yeah… sign me up! Great carne asada(not greasy)…delicious guacamole… I’m going to take a guess that they either make their own tortillas or buy from the tortilleria a few doors down, because they’re THATGOOD. So, for under $ 18 I’m able to feed my family of four the best carne asada tacos in the city… and everyone is full. I mean FULL. Yeah… hope they stay open & thrive, because they’ve got me as a customer for life. Side note: Salsa is pretty spicy — and I like spicy… be warned.

5 out of 5 hungry construction workers agree, the best Chile Verde in El Cajon… a lil hole in the wall run by sisters. Right away one can tell they make authentic made to order food. The smells and taste of their food overwhelms the senses. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.
