Good food, good service, the place could use a little tidying up but I would recommend. They give a lot on the plate! Big plus!

Believe the bad reviews: Kung pao chicken: dry chicken sauce like gravy no veggies, only onions. Only onions!!! soggy, sad onions. Spicy chicken: Dry chicken Spicy gravy Strong onion flavor mushrooms tasted slightly off. I went at 5, early dinner time, but nothing was fresh. The chicken is scary chicken: every few pieces had gristle or fat or something hard. Threw it all away(in the trash, stinking up my kitchen) Now I’ll make Mac and cheese.

My family and I have been going here for years, our kids basically grew up together so it’s painful to only give 2 stars but it’s honest. Over the last 2 years I’ve seen a steady decline in this place with their food being bland, sometimes old, and just not appetizing. Still love their soups but WOW in 20 yrs I sent back 1, count it, 1 meal and after microwaving it brought it back as if this was acceptable. I guess for less than $ 6.00 dollars what should I expect. Customer loyalty means if 20 yr customer sends something back for the first time YOUMAKE A FRESHONE and be graceful. Instead of making the customer feel as if they did something wrong you treat them accordingly. I’ve taken large groups of people in La China, recommended them but today I really hope was just an off day but as I said I’ve seen a decline and NOW is the time to turn it around! Clean the place up, put some taste back into the food, prepare each dish fresh and if one comes back, MAKETHECUSTOMERFEELACCEPTED and WANTED! Frankly dumping a To Go box on the table and saying nothing is like giving me the finger… 20 yrs of customer loyalty! We deserve better than that.

I got food poisoning from the pecan shrimp. My boyfriend ordered the bbq beef with fried rice and the portions of the beef were like finger nail clippings. Food didnt have good flavor and seemed cheap. Not going here again and hope to warn people not to waste their money.

Their food stinks. The«sweet and sour shrimp» is basically a tiny shrimp surrounded in a ton of fried bread. Their chicken falls apart(not in a good way) and has a funny taste to it. An acquaintance of mine raves about the place but I’m really not planning on going there again. Also, they really need to clean up the place. Not that it’s really dirty, but in their minds their restaurant is also their storage area and they have a ton of personal items in an area of the restaurant. I guess they haven’t gotten the point that that doesn’t fly.

Basic Chinese food. I ordered general chicken, fried rice and crab ragoon. The fried rice could have been better. The crab ragoon had great flavor. The general chicken was decent had flavor and it was a large serving! Two people can share the order. The service on the phone was great and the delivery guy was very sweet. I would order again on a lazy no cook night.

Just moved into town and missed the good ol’ takeout Chinese food that we all love. The place was packed which gave me the idea that this was a good place. I ordered sweet and sour chicken and teriyaki chicken, which both came doubled wrapped. When I got home I found out that there was so much juice from cooking spilling out of the bag that they doubled wrapped it. Both containers were overflowing with juices that leaked all over my car. The rice was a bit dry and wasn’t sticky, it reminded me of Jasmine rice. Overall, it was«meh». Nothing really special about this place. I think I’ll order from elsewhere and reorder here in a few months to see if the quality improves.

I came here today for the first time and it all started out great. She welcomed my friend and I when we walked in, told us we can go ahead and take a seat and she brought us our menus, asked us what we wanted to drink and came back 5 minutes after to take our order. I ordered the house soft noodles and it came with rice or fried rice. I chose to get fried rice with my order and when I tried it, it was literally plain white rice with scrambled eggs. Very tasteless and bland. The noodles on the other hand were great. Not even halfway through our meal, the waitress came out with our bill… Nothing ruins my moment of eating out more than getting the bill before I’m even done with my food. To top that off when we were finally ready to pay,(the total was $ 11.20) I put $ 12 on the bill, she picked it up, started walking away then stopped, came back and said the bill was not ready. She showed us the total, which was $ 11.20 then she counted the money again and saw that I have put down $ 12 and walked away again without saying anything. My friend asked for a to-go box for her leftover food and she got a small boxed thrown on the table. I enjoyed the food. Did not like the way I experienced it.

All I wanted was some fried rice. I didn’t think it was a difficult order and how could you mess that up right. I called in an order and went to pick it up. When I walked in I saw the lady at the front making tea… From Lipton tea packets. Right away bad indication it THATS what they’re making their tea out of. So I pay and she goes over to a crock pot and dishes out what looks to be just plain rice. She hands it to me and I walk out the door, and maybe this is my fault for not asking but she didn’t put any soy sauce in my box. You would think if someone just orders fried rice you would give it to them or at least offer. upon further inspection of my «fried rice» I was plain rice with some egg in it.

This is the first I’ve seen of this place, but I noted the A in the window so felt inclined to try. I ordered delivery of orange chicken, veggie low mein & pecan shrimp. Needless to say I will not be ordering these items again. First, they come a la carte, no rice. Second they’re nothing but a lot of batter. I’m not sure who told them to define this as lightly battered, but as you’ll see in the picture they’re not. I love pecan shrimp when it’s truly lightly battered. This made me ill because it was pure batter. Blecht. The orange chicken was surprisingly the same way. They need to thin the batter and change their frying oil, as the food retained a lot of grease, which shows old oil. The veggie low mein was mediocre. It lacked a decent amount of veggies and the noodles were over cooked. On a positive note, this place delivers and they were very prompt and polite. Plus the good was still hot. I’ll give them another try, but I will stay away from battered items. I love orange chicken but I’d like the chicken to be more than the batter. Perhaps my rating will improve next try.

Not much to say. food is average, staff is average(young generation mixed with old generation/good service, bad service), price is low, quality is low but portions are large

Great food. Cheap. Service is quick and polite. Love the lunch special(under 5 dollars). Don’t expect anything fancy as far as dinning in: kind of «hole in the wall» vibe. Best dishes, in my opinion, are the Beijing beef and Crispy Orange beef.

Ordered large catering fried rice order and it was just plain rice with soy sauce. Lame and overpriced. Good food only if you are super hungry and desperate.

My friend and I had the fish plate special advertised with a flier under the glass on the table. She had Vegetables with white sauce. I had brown bean sauce with green peppers and onions. The amount of very tasty cod was very commendable. We had eaten here a dozen or more times over the years, and I wish we had tried the cod plate. Hot, Fresh, Tasty ! and very fair priced. We’ll BEBACK!

La China is the real homie. We get this every time we want Chinese food. So tasty and priced well. I recommend the crispy orange beef and the chow fun(thick) noodles.

We’ve been coming here to eat in and to take out for years. We used to live right around the corner and have continued as loyal customers even after moving some miles away. The owners, Calvin and Joyce, are incredibly hard-working, and just a joy to interact with. La China is always the first choice of our grandchildren when we take them out for lunch or dinner. The food is nothing fancy … sort of old school Chinese-American dishes with some vegetable and fish specials added to the menu. Make sure to check the hand-written specials just inside the front door. Lunch specials are decent and nicely priced. It does get busy at lunch and Joyce is the only one waiting on tables(as well as manning the phones and register). Our grandkids love the Kung Pao shrimp and house special noodles. I recommend fish with black bean sauce and green beans. The hot and sour soup is okay too.

This place is great. If you’re looking for quick relatively cheap Chinese food this is the spot. We always order takeout and it’s quick and the staff is nice. They also deliver after 530, and the delivery guy is always super nice and asks us if we want to be called when he’s close. I recommend the veggie chow mien and the cashew chicken is great!

Good lunch specials. However today wasn’t so great. The Kung pao chicken wasn’t at all spicy and was loaded with onions. The sauce was a little but much as well. I did like the chow mien :) I may go back for another lunch special but not in the near future !

The food was okay. I had shrimp fried noodles, and the sauce they used was too overpowering. My husband’s rice was dry, and the lemon chicken was mostly bread rather than actual white meat. I will complement the chef on the lemon sauce, that was good. We got sat by the cash register guy, then after a couple of minutes, we got offered drinks. It took almost fifteen minutes for them to take our order, and almost thirty minutes to get our food. The place was not even packed!
