Very great place to get services done at. The experience was very pleasing and customer service is excellent. I was immediately greeted by a member of Honda by the name of Christopher Stanley. He helped me on get my first service done for my new Honda. He was a very nice guy and had great knowledge of the car. He wasn’t boring at all like most service people i have dealt with at other places. He had a great sense of humor which is always good for a great experience. But also got straight to the services on my car. The service was quicker then i thought it would be on the count of how many people were there. I will definitely be back for my next services. I’ve been bringing my 07 Accord here for service since I bought it there. Service has always been great, just had oil change, break inspection, tire rotation yesterday. Louis G. said it would be ready by 3:30, I got the call it was ready right at 3:30 :) thank you, see you next time.

I went there a couple of time with my crz; they r amazing, really helpful in telling u what ur car needs and they finish the car fast. Especially Louis Garofalo, he is the the man for the job

Had Car in Honda of El Cajon Body shop for one week and due to schedule conflicts I couldn’t pick up my vehicle Friday and the collision center is closed Saturday. I made a call to the Honda Service Dept. and spoke with Holly regarding a possible shuttle ride. She was very attentive, helpful even though it was a Saturday (busiest day) Im sure and arranged a shuttle pickup for me way out in Chula Vista. The normal range is 10 miles but Holly made an exception which me being in the customer service field for 20 years means a lot and shows her dedication to making customers happy even though I was a body shop customer and not a service customer. Well now Im a service customer due to the experience I received! No more FULLER! Thanks Holly and shuttle driver for your great service and you have a new customer now because of your actions!

Louis Garofalo, Service Advisor. Excellent customer service! Always goes the extra mile to make sure my car needs are met. Explains in detail the service that they provide for my car and always makes sure I am happy with the service. Louis is very polite and gives his undivided attention. I highly recommend Honda of El Cajon with all their services they provide. My husband and I drive Honda Accords (both purchased there by the way). and always go the extra few miles to get our cars service at Honda El Cajon… (We live in Rancho Bernardo). This is my second lease that I have gotten from Honda of El Cajon and I really can’t say enough about their quality service and their low pressure, no hassle sales approach. Michael Peterson is the best! I also really appreciate the comfortable reception area and love the coffee. Whenever I bring in my car for an oil change I appreciate the white glove service and their time efficiency with getting you in and out and on your way. I highly recommend anyone to come here for service or leasing or buying a car!

Went in to lot looking to trade in my used van and purchase a new car. I have to say really great service and understanding of my needs. Sales man Jason May took his time and went over all the different options with me. After me going back and forth on the buy. I made a decision with the help of Jason talking it over with me. Thank you to Jason for your patience and understand. Great service, great knowledge and must important great car selection!

Came in on a Friday afternoon thinking that it was a busy day to take my car for an oil change and it was but surprisingly it only took an hour wait for them to change the oil and inspect my car BUT ALSO they even gave it a quick wash which is a + ! Workers here are very fast pace and try to get you on the go, wouldn’t having you to wait any longer. But I Couldn’t have it any better than at Honda of El Cajon thanks to Louis !

Purchased my 2016 civic here earlier this year and recently brought it in to get serviced. Just the routine oil change and I was having a problem with my rear left window. It wasn’t functioning properly which shouldn’t happen to a new car but eh things happen. Tyler got my paperwork going and Jerald took over after that. Both advisors were awesome. I was offered to get my car washed so I did. They called me after it was done and they didn’t have the part to my window so they had to order it. I went to pick up my car and it looked like it had been rained on the night before. I don’t expect a full detail or anything fancy but at least have it look better then when I brought it in.
Few days later I got a call saying my part came in. I brought my car in today and got Jerald again since he helped me a few days ago. He explained what they were going to do and asked if I wanted a car wash. I hesitated a little and let him know what happened last time. He apologized and let me know he would make sure my car would be spotless when I picked it up later that day. Sure enough got a call my car is good to go and went to pick up a spotless car. No water marks at all! I really appreciate that he went out of his way to have that done. I know I’m anal when it comes to my car but it’s the attention to detail, and customer service that will bring me back to see Jerald for my car. He is friendly and I’d highly recommend you see him when you go in to have your car serviced

I went in for an oil change and Tyler Stedham was very helpful got me in & out. No hassle very simple signed some paperwork and I was good to go! Everyone was very nice & I think last time I came in I spoke to a James, he was also very friendly. Overall great customer service. Keep up the good work.

I had a disturbing experience at the Honda of El Cajon parts department which deserves no more than (1) star. I discovered that the part I needed for my Honda Pilot was marked up an additional 32% over the «List» price. The Honda suggested list price should have been $ 136.73, however, the dealership’s list price was selling the part for $ 180.49. I am not sure if the dealership was trying to be greedy, or if it was an honest mistake, however, my understanding is that the dealers are free to set the «List» prices and do not always follow Hondas suggested pricing.
On the flip side, I would give the parts specialist, Diana, (5) stars for being knowledgeable, patient and pleasant and therefore the (2) stars overall.

Just walked out of Honda of El Cajon. Had a pretty unpleasant experience. Here’s what happened:
Saw a decent deal on their website, so I emailed to confirm it is genuine and the sales manager said it was. Stopped in to ask to see what they have in their inventory and the sales guy had no idea. So we walked around the lot like fools and he couldn’t find what I was asking for. Finally we went through the back service area for some odd reason and then through a back door into their office to just check their website. All that walking around for nothing. Sales don’t even know what they have.
When the kind of vehicle I wanted was not available, they sent over the manager of the sales guy. He said he could check another inventory somewhere (not at the dealer)… He tried to take (and keep, not just look at) my driver’s license for some reason. Very shady! I refused to give it to him.
Finally he returned and said it would be hard to get the one I wanted. And then he asked me to wait for the first sales guy to come by. Since their office is so unattractive and they did not so much as offer me a coffee or water, I got sick of waiting after 5 minutes and just left. The sales saw me in the lot (he was putzing around out there while I was waiting) and he gave me his card, which I promptly threw on the ground.
Honda of El Cajon, you need to:
*Treat customers better.
*Prevent your sales from doing shady things like taking away someone’s license for no reason… it was not a test drive or credit check or anything.
*Educate/​train your staff to know what is actually available.
*Redesign your poor, shabby looking dealership.

Tyler Stedham was my service advisor and he treated me with great service! The service department got me in and out with in the hour! I am very happy with the service Honda provided!
Repeat customer and repeatedly blown away with my customer service! Tyler always goes out his way to make sure I leave the service shop happy! Along with my phenomenal customer service and speedy work… He made sure my car was washed! I will continue to spread the good word about Honda of El Cajon and my awesome experiences!

Ive bought many New Honda’s and Used car’s from Tipton Honda over the years, But I did’nt know what to think when the New owners took over, But they have kept the Great Sales Team, led by Joe Deluca. I refer anyone i run into to at least give them a chance to Earn their business, and i have not had even one person say they were not treated like family there. I will continue to do business with them, and recommend Honda El Cajon to anyone i run into. 5 PLUS STAR’S.

I received a phone call today, May 16, 2016, from the El Cajon Honda dealership. Thank you Arcelia Vazquez for contacting me regarding my experience.
Arcelia informed me that she had read my review, and apologized. Unfortunately, she offered me a free tank of gas for my time in exchange for updating my Unilocal review to make them look good.
Well, here is my updated review. I feel as though what had transpired between me and the salesman is acceptable practice at their dealership. Yes, they offered a free tank of gas but it is the principle of the matter at hand. In addition, this follow up call is no different than my initial experience.

Buyer beware. Unfortunately I am unable to recommend Honda of El Cajon. I was not informed that the accord I bought my wife had a $ 2000 dealer markup and a $ 900 protection package. When we were negotiating and they came in with a price $ 3000 over MSRP I asked «Is that the price with tax» and the sales rep said «that is the total price of the car, which sounded like yes. We were trading in a car and coming in with cash, plus purchasing extra’s so over 5 hours later I lost track of all the numbers. It wasn’t until the next day that I realized after looking through our contract that I had paid a lot more than I thought we had negotiated. Add to this finding a dent in the trunk that has taken 4 weeks, multiple calls and trips to the dealer. Hopefully they will be fixing it next week. I’m exhausted and feel stupid for putting my trust in this company.

I visited here for my accord to get regular check up and oil change.
I didn’t need to wait long time to check in my car and Jerald Camacho (service advisor) welcomed me and explained every detail of service very generously.
Since I thought this time would be my last free service (actually it already expired)
I didn’t expect to pay for my service
He understood my situation and apologized they didn’t give a notice last time.
And offer a free oil change!
I really appreciated.

I had the best experience with Miguel! Miguel Torres is the best! He made us feel welcomed and never rushed me to get anything. I kept asking questions and with a smile he would answer them! Hands he is the best! He is a role model to the salesman. This is the second time coming here and I would never go any other place! thank you Miguel! I hope Honda knows they have a GEM! Miguel always made sure we were getting the best out of the deal! I’m leasing a 2016 Honda CRV !! And I love it! I had a really good experience with Miguel Torres and Manny. They’re not like your common salesman that harass you or that are pushy. They helped when the help was needed and were straight out with us.
We also had a really good experience with the financial guy we had, if I’m not mistaken his name is Daniel, he is great.
This is our second time buying a car from this dealership and I had tell you that we had a better experience this time around.

Took my daughter here this past weekend to buy her first new car! This was our fifth El Cajon dealership in a week, so we came in knowing exactly what we wanted (and didn’t want) and just in case, we had other cars we were willing to buy if a Honda was not possible.
However, we were pleasantly surprised to meet and work with Matt Shefa; had a good vibe from the get go. Matt is very personable and easy to work with. Negotiating a purchase price is never fun, but the whole process was easy with Matt and after we agreed on a price, our loan officer was Munwar and he too treated us well.
I was really appreciative of Matt spending lots of time (after purchase) to go over every car feature detail with my daughter and ensuring we she had a great car purchasing experience.
End result was that my daughter was able to purchase a Honda Civic she is trilled about.
I would recommend Matt and Munwar to anyone interested in buying a new or used Honda. These guys will take care of you!
