Custom Sewing By Rebecca

Let me just start by saying that this woman does not have a welcoming face, you come in her shop and she will always have a grumpy face. She does not even greet you with a welcome, or may I help you. I tried to give Rebecca a chance for the first time this past weekend, my husband needed some alterations on two of his pants, and I need it a shirt button to be replace.
We got there 4 hours before closing time and Rebecca was not busy at all, then she proceed on telling us that everything will be ready in a week or two. She also mentioned that clients usually booked her a week ahead. I had been to other tailors before, and most of the time they will have your stuff ready the same day. Rebecca is just not a hustler and a hard worker, a real hard worker will have not let us walk away from their business.
I am surprise that this woman had been in business for so long her place is always lonely, and she can’t not even afford AC probably because of the lack of clients. Rebecca is over weight so is hard for her to squad and take your measurements, not that does a problem but it can lead her to take the wrong measurements. Do not come here and take your money to someone else, Rebecca is not friendly, and does not treat clients well.

I discovered Rebecca and her shop five years ago and have been using her skills and service ever since. Her prices are very reasonable and she is herself a virtual encyclopedia in the area of costuming as well as cultural history. She has recreated costumes for me by simply seeing the picture of what I wanted! With my preference being for Victorian and Edwardian costumes, Rebecca knows just the right materials and has often sought out for me patterns and styles she knew I would like and has assisted me in seeking out material. Her little shop is like a very special little world decorated with costumes, jewelry, and all sorts of wonderful items used for Middle Eastern Tribal dancing.

I’ve been taking my clothes needing alterations to Rebecca for over 10 years. She does good work at a reasonable price. Plus, while I’m at her shop I love looking at all of the gorgeous belly dance outfits she makes and sells. She is absolutely the best if you need a custom costume designed for any event, or if you are a dancer needing an outfit to perform in.
