I came In here because it was the closest market walking distance and I regret ever walking to it. It smelled disgusting stuffy inside! Nothing in there made me want to buy anything yuck! Do not go in here

I had a decent beef shawarma sandwich for this place for lunch. The sandwich only cost $ 3 which was a very good deal for the size.( ) The sandwich was good and it was totally stuffed with beef.( ) The beef was tender and had a slightly sour taste from the pickled ingredients they put on it, such as the pickled cucumbers and beets. It also came with onions, tomatoes, and a touch of fresh parsley. The bread it came on was moist and tasted good. It is baked on the premises. Overall the sandwich was good and well worth the price. They also make huge flat bread on site. I did not have any but a customer told me that it was very good. The place is family run and the family seems very friendly.

I’ve actually never been to this Arabic market but we had food delivered from Athena’s for a work related meeting. I chose the chicken kabob which came with a side of saffron basmati rice, Greek salad, cucumber salad, and baklava. It all looked pretty good, but unfortunately the kabob lacked flavor, the basmati was oily, and the salads weren’t fresh. :-(The only good tasting thing to my taste buds was the baklava. It was crisp and not overly sweet. Hopefully, they will order Arabic food from elsewhere next time!

I stopped by this place on a whim expecting to finds Greek products, as the store name seemed to imply. This store mostly has a decent array of Arabic products. I bought some Lavash that was almost double the price that I get it for in Orange County. There was a lady busting out some fresh pitas that looked great, but I didn’t buy any. I would probably give this store another star if their name better reflected their Arabic-products.

I love the kabob and the salads from this market! It’s a tiny market with a little bit of everything but the kabob’s are so tasty! I love this place if you love kabob’s this is the best place to grab a couple for not too much money.

I stopped in here today to see if they had any Retsina, a Greek wine, since disappointingly BevMo has decided to stop selling it. They had no alcoholic beverages so I was out of luck on that, but I still had fun wandering around the aisles checking out all the mid-Eastern foods. I would say it is more of an Arabic Market rather than Greek, as the name implied, and reminded me of a smaller version of Vine Ripe in La Mesa. They had an impressive selection for such a small store, and lots of different delicious looking baked goods and candies, olives, cheeses, nuts, etc. I bought some yogurt to enjoy and to use as a starter for making my own, which I haven’t gotten back to since I got back from my last trip. I love homemade yogurt! If I needed some hummus or tabouli or falafel mix, this would be a good place to come if I was in the area. I forgot to look and see if they had any of that wonderful smelling olive oil soap, darn it!
