Al’s Diving

Super Friendly. Very Knowledgeable. Reasonably Priced. Had a blast!
I’m a pretty newly certified scuba diver, so I’m always looking for a chance to log some dives wherever I can. I was going to be in San Diego for the weekend, so I contacted a few places there. Unfortunately, the place I was going to go with was not available, & they referred me to Al. I’m so glad they did!
I got in touch with Al via e-​mail & phone, & set everything up just a few days before I arrived in SD last weekend (I’m from AZ). When I met him the morning of my dives, he seemed really nice. He knows A LOT of people in the neighborhood & he takes the time to greet them & their canine buddies =) My DM/​dive buddy was Mary D (Al buddied up with another diver). They were both very friendly & laid back. I was a little nervous at first (newbie jitters), but that went away very quickly. Al is very knowledgeable about La Jolla Shores, & I saw a lot of really cool stuff.
The 1^st dive took a little longer, & sadly I had to go back to check out of my hotel =((no late checkout — it was a very busy weekend) But wait! Al said he has another dive scheduled that afternoon so if I want I can do a second dive like I wanted. Yay! I went back to my hotel & fought all the crazy traffic back to meet up with them again. Unfortunately, the other party cancelled, but Al & Mary still took me out!
All I can say is that I had a wonderful time! Al & Mary made sure I had fun & stayed safe. Mary was awesome!!! I won’t hesitate to recommend Al & Mary. Next time I’m in the area, I will definitely dive with them again!
