Alan’s Cuts

Love this place. Its located right next to Petco and theres almost never a line. He cuts your hair and you are on your way. Last time I got a haircut, it was $ 10 for adults and $ 8 for kids. Best of all he does a very good job, I simply get the «high and tight» style and have NEVER found patches of uncut/​choppy hair or uneven lines upon further inspection.

I’m rating this place at a 3 because there were DRASTIC pros and cons:
I’ll start with the PROS:
— CHEAP haircut! ($ 10, and my hair is down to my waist in length)
— «Alan» cut my hair. He was very friendly, and made me feel comfortable. No awkward small-​talk about school or work. Just the right amount to be friendly, but not overwhelming
— Pretty quick wait time, AND service time. I waited for 20 minutes (there were 2 people ahead of me), and it only took about 10 minutes to cut my hair
— TV’s at every little «station» to eliminate the feeling of NEEDING to say something
CONS:
— Alan didn’t wash the brush before using it on my hair. yikes
— He dropped the comb a few times, picked it up, and just carried on combing (did not re-​sanitize like every other place I have been to)
— The scissors didn’t «cut» my hair a few times. my hair kind of went horizontal in the blades (dull scissors?), probably making the cuts inaccurate
— After leaving, I realized that he completely forgot my entire bang area!
I guess you get what you pay for… Overall, this place is friendly and comfortable, and I’m sure if I had noticed the bang area thing while I was there, and brought it up, he would have been embarrassed and fixed it right away. I guess the sanitary thing was the worst of it… but I’m sure you could always mention it, and they would just give it a dip in that cleaner stuff. For $ 10, I would go again (I’m pretty broke, so it’s easy for me to recommend this place). He didn’t do a BAD job. I’m satisfied with the haircut, I just have to do a little touch-​up on the bang area myself. which, I shouldn’t HAVE to do, but… whatever. It’s not a HUGE deal. If I did NOTHING with it, it would still look fine. He did a GREAT job for $ 10, lets just put it that way.
