America’s Best Value Inn

So not satisfied with this hotel. Stayed here last night after a long ride from New Mexico, very good price but… I woke up the next morning with bed bug bites all over my arm and chest. And so did my husband. We were both iffy about the way the inside of the room looked, everything looked old and worn out. I don’t recommend anyone to stop here, unless you wanna wake up with bed bug bites then go right ahead. But it’s really not a fun thing to go through.

I’ve stayed here twice and I think it’s great. The rooms are clean, the price can’t be beat, and the man at the front desk (owner?) is very friendly and helpful. It’s a fantastic place to lay your head and it won’t break the bank.

On a road trip we were in need of a relatively inexpensive place to stay. I scoured every travel and review site and noticed this had bad reviews on Unilocal but decent reviews on other sites. I decided to give it a shot and was pleasantly surprised. It’s clean, comfortable and 61 $ with AAA discount for a room on a Friday night. If you are in the area just looking for an easy place to get some sleep, this is your spot.

It’s a wonderful effing place. It’s an upgrade over places like econo lodge or days inn. The breakfast is ok, no hot food. Internet is effing great.

On checkin asked clerk (wife of owner) if there was a train near by, as I was not sure if we stayed her many years ago and could hear a train whistle all night. She tells us NO and the train is on the other side of town and we cannot hear it. After being in the room for 30 minutes with the tv on I clearly hear a train whistle. A loud train whistle. I ask for a refund so I can go to another hotel on the other side of town. I am told by the manager that he can only refund me a portion since I have been in my room too long and that the trains don’t run to often at night. I couldn’t afford to lose that money and pay for another hotel. Could clearly hear the train horn all night. Never gonna stay here again.

This hotel is in serious need of repairs. The back stairwell is falling apart, big holes in the floor that you can trip over. It also looked like there was water damage in the area. In the rooms themselves they smelled moldy.
The furniture was a hodge podge of mismatched items. In my room the TV (tube style) sat on what looked like a mini-​bar cabinet from a different hotel that was re-​purposed. It didn’t match anything else in the room and where the mini-​bar and/​or Fridge should be was just a big open hole. The beds were hard, and not very comfortable.
I was there on business and WIFI was necessary to do my job. Over a week in this hotel, the internet would go down multiple times daily.
