Peel Wood Fired Pizza

The food was really good, the pizza is really good. It has a real natural taste to it. They seem to use good ingredients.

Meat eater I am not but when they said the pizza special is Italian Beef with horseradish crème sauce — I was sold and the guys gave a high five ! Oh so moist shredded beef with provolone cheese and that drizzle of crème sauce — delish. We added «the best in town wings «and a great meal was rated A+

Loooooove this place. It can get pretty busy for dinner, any day of the week. So either be prepared to wait or go on the early side (5ish?). When the weather is nice, I love sitting on the patio. The food is excellent. DO NOT SKIP THE HOUSE SALAD. Favorite appetizer: Spinach artichoke involtinis (and ask for the marinara instead of the hummus). All of the pizzas are well crafted and delicious.
Other than a long wait for a table, we have *never* had a bad dining experience!

GODDAMN we love Peel! Never had a bad pizza (and I don’t even like pizza) and we can’t get enough of their wings. They have amazing soups and salads as well. It gets crazy busy, so you can count on some wait time on the weekends. My only complaint is the size of the bar/​waiting area. It’s cramped and small and if it’s raining or cold, it’s even worse since people won’t go outside, but otherwise, do what chu do Peel.

Amazing service! Amazing food! We usually frequent the O’Fallon Peel location, so happy we ventured to Edwardsville!!! Food is the same great quality but service seems to be just a little higher here.

One of my favorite restaurants in my area. I absolutely love the buffalo Mac and cheese and also the buffalo pizza (obviously). The servers are always super friendly and offer up specials with details. Their appetizers are good as well, and they have tasty bottles sodas. The Nutella smores dessert pizza is very delicious as well. Very generous portions and I usually have leftovers which is great. Good prices too.

Great atmosphere I’ve been three times and sat outside twice and inside once. I love pizza their toppings are great but their crust is always soggy. Amazed people are so crazy about it!

Absolutely LOVE their pizza. My favorite one is the maple bourbon pork and it’s spectacular. The kind of flavors they create is remarkable. It’s different than most pizza places. They serve «fancy» pizzas. It’s not your typical pepperoni and sausage. Ive also had their baked potato pizza and Nutella pizza. Both I’d never had before and they were great. It’s a little pricey compared to like Pizza Hut or Dominos but the quality of the pizza is 100x better and totally worth the extra $.

This was my first visit and was very good. Great selection of beers on tap and in bottles, a variety of menu items to pick from and attentive service.

Had the prosciutto pizza, mushroom soup salad and wow– Apple crisp Involtini Very nice. Not to be missed.

I’m not really a «go out for pizza» kind of gal, but I like the pizza, salads and the outdoor seating at this parkside Edwardsville eatery. The salads are fresh and delish and the couple sitting next to us were loving their mac N cheese. The pizza was light, but big enough to share. Overall, fresh and yummy. I’m not a fan of the desserts, especially the strawberry shortcake that consists of scones and cream with a strawberry garnish.

Prosciutto pizza and the ciabatta garlic cheese bread with cream sauce is to die for!

This place could get a 5-​star from me, but because they lack a few things I decided four was fair enough. Pizza is awesome, especially their selection! I don’t really have a favorite as I’m still in the process of trying to eat each one! Some of the toppings and specials are very unique. Their wings are great, too. Oh, and their dessert pizza… where do I start?! Yes it is very pricey as I only come here only on special occasions (like birthdays and such). But either way, its well worth it. It does suck that no one can take their food out or call ahead for reservations. I have mixed reactions for their decision on that, and I can understand in a way because, yes, their pizza does taste the best when its straight out of the oven.

When they say the wait is at least 1.5 hours, they aren’t lying. Waited a little longer than that and had 20 minutes to have a meal before needing to head to a theater, and by golly, they made it happen! Impressively fast. So much so, we couldn’t figure out how the heck the wait was so dang long. Are we all normally such lolly-​gaggers? This place was overflowing with people and they need to expand. Salad and pizza were awesome! Service was lickety split, once we finally got in there. Because it was cold out, we and various others took the little pager and waited in the car, since they had so little seating for those waiting. Worst part: no reservations, which was a big bummer on show night.

This place is great. Nice atmosphere. Good beer selection. Menu is wonderful.
Only thing we didn’t like was Parmesan sauce on pizza. Not for us

Awesome place, people and pizza. Brandon and Patrick have really nailed it with this establishment. The proof is in the 5 year run and 2^nd location doing well too. You won’t be disappointed. The Caribbean mango wings are the best wings ever

Anytime I’m in the St. Louis metro area (Illinois side), I am sure to stop in Edwardsville for one of two simple reasons: Cleveland-​Heath or Peel Wood Fired Pizza. Luckily, I was able to visit Peel a few days ago and of course my fondness for this place was reaffirmed.
My colleagues and I started off with the Black Truffle Risotto Cakes and the Mixed Greens salad to share. The risotto cakes were superb, with the tomato bisque being particularly delightful. The salad, unlike the boring and uneventful variety at many restaurants, was delicious and beautifully constructed.
Just as our shared plates were getting cleared off the table, our main courses arrived. I went with the Chicken Gorgonzola pizza (11″) this time around and was not disappointed. The parmesan cream sauce, the gorgonzola, and the baby spinach combined to balance each other perfectly. It is definitely something I’ll think about getting the next time I’m here.
In addition to the great food, there is a wide variety of beer to choose from, and the wait staff is always (in my experience) patient and very helpful!
