LOVELOVELOVE this place. Consistently great customer service, food, drinks, everything. Bartenders are amazing, can pretty much make anything you’d like. Everyone is so friendly, feels like my boyfriend and I are going to hang out with friends when we go here. Halibut cheeks are probably the best thing on the menu along with the crème brûlée. You really can’t go wrong here.

I went here for lunch in the bar/cocktail lounge a few days ago. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. I had the crab stuffed sole special which was good, nothing amazing. My friends all seemed to enjoy meals as well.

Arrived 5:30pm, no server almost 20 minutes. Mind you it’s Christmas, but she passed us OVER15 times. Not even a HELLO. Finally, she tended to us. Almost 30 minutes later, apps & drinks. 40 minutes later, our food arrived. All 8 plates, COLD. Fucking bullshit. At that point, we just said screw it & ate. Positive note — at least dessert will come cold! Took some time to get out again, but was nice. Suggestion: DONTCOMEHERECHRISTMASDAY. If the staff is stressed and manning over 10 tables of 5+ people, you will not be happy.

We weren’t very impressed with the last time we went to Scott’s and to be honest we’ve felt that way for a while. We’ve been going on and off for 16 years and it used to be one of our favorites. The service used to be impeccable and the food was always good, however, that’s not the case anymore. Like I said, I’ve been upset about the service for a while, one time the hostess forgot us and after 20 minutes of watching other people get seated, I finally said something. Today the service was just slow. We waited 10 minutes to be seated even though there were several open tables all over the restaurant. The food, when we got it, was good but we didn’t get the drinks we ordered until we were almost done eating so we just said forget it. I would still go back in a pinch but it wouldn’t be my first destination.

Terribly disappointing thanksgiving. The grainy dry cous cous like corn bread stuffing was tasteless. The ONLY. Vegetable were dried up Brussels sprouts. Few people like this and I heard others complaining. The turkey must have been heavily brined. it was very salty. And my 79 year old father in law got five big pieces, I got two dinky pieces. Who figured the portions? The pumpkin pie was super thin. like crazy theme… but it was good. So thanksgiving dinner was ruined, but I added a star for the excellent service on a holiday.

Such delicious food! I had the Prime Rib, so nice and rare, and the crust on it was tasty and salty.

We hit Scott’s for a late lunch Monday 1:30 ish. The place was fairly empty. Service was great(Adrien?) and we like the atmosphere. Beer list was a tad short but the Bloody Mary was excellent. Spicy steamed clams were a little rubbery, which could have been the clams or possibly a bit too much steaming time. The broth was ok, not distinctive, and we would not order the clams again. Bread and main dishes were very good. My husband had the panko fish and chips and was totally happy — fish was crisp and the fries were as well. The coleslaw needed some pizazz. Tartar sauce was excellent. I had the herb crusted wild steelhead with red mashed and roasted brussel sprouts from the fresh sheet. Fish was cooked perfectly and the lemon butter sauce was stellar. The prices were possibly a tad high for ala carte but the portions were generous. We’ll check out the happy hour next time.

Ordered the Rack of Lamb on the menu, got two small lamb chops. Disappointed that they would advertise it as a Rack of Lamb, charge $ 28, and bring that out instead. The other dish we ordered was the salmon, that was good.

It has been quite a few months since I was here, but after waiting about 10 minutes for anyone to notice us we ordered food. After we were told the special of fresh Halibut cheeks when it was off season for fresh Halibut so not sure where the fresh cheeks came from.(I work in the Seafood industry). Food was decentnl nothing spectacular. Would eventually make my way back in

This time I will review about the food because upon our entrance, the bartender was a complete asshole!!! Throwing menus down, being a complete asshole… Oh wait did I say he’s an asshole yet. Cause you’re all tatted up doesn’t give you a reason to be a jackoff… Don’t care if you’re having a bad night, hide that shit. Once we moved to a table in the bar, the service was lovely. She took care of our group, was on top of our drinks, food came out(and was great), she showed that she actually cared about our business. The food, the food… We ordered HH stuff, everyone loved everything. The prime rib sliders, killer. The fries with Gorgonzola and bacon, perfect hangover prophylaxis. It was my first time ever going here and after hearing so many wonderful things, I was excited. The bartender ruined it. Just because it’s the only nicer restaurant in the area doesn’t give you the reason to be an ASSHOLE, get over yourself.

My first time visiting Scott’s. It came highly recommended by friends so we joined them for dinner. The atmosphere was average. Very rustic style deco. They have quite a variety of drinks and wine on the menu to choose from. I did not have the bread that they brought to the table, but my husband raved about how good it was. For dinner I had the Grilled Seafood Mix with black rice. I didn’t like the flavor of the rice, but the seafood was incredible! It came with 2 scallops, 2 prawns, and salmon, over asparagus and rice. Everything was cooked to perfection and was devoured. My husband had the halibut cheeks and the bit I had was very flavorful and delicious. For dessert we shared the Key Lime Pie. It was so light and creamy and a perfectly tart/sweet mix. We will go again. Would like to try the happy hour.

I’ve driven past Scott’s countless times, but have actually never visited until a couple friends asked us to go for drinks. Going in for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised how nice and spacious it is inside. I honestly would have never known just by judging it from outside. We tried our friends rigatoni, which was delicious, and had a couple drinks and apps. We also had shared a bread basket, which was impressive since it was focaccia with butter.(I mean, when do you get impressed by a bread basket?) After trying a couple things we decided to come back for brunch. I think brunch is their weakness. While they offer cinnamon scones with whipped cinnamon cream, it was way too dry. Eggs were over cooked, home fries were mediocre, and the food could best be described as ho hum. I hope to try a full on dinner soon, but I would not visit again for brunch.

Food is over priced! And every time I walk in there I feel like I’m in a retirement home cafeteria.

I have been here twice, once for dinner, and once for happy hour. For dinner, I had the steak with crab cake and my boyfriend had the fried chicken with ribs. Both entrees were very good, but in my opinion, our meal was on the pricey side, which is why I deducted a star. Now, happy hour… that’s a WHOLE different story! The food is so cheap and the portions are large! My favorite item on the HH menu was the crab and artichoke dip, as well as the Gorgonzola fries! My friend and I also had the quesadillas & calamari, both tasty as well. The service was great both times I’ve been here, I especially liked the bartender I had during happy hour, good guy. The décor is lovely and the restaurant is very clean. Dinner is overpriced. I will definitely be back, but ONLYFORHAPPYHOUR.

Hadn’t been to Scott’s B&G in a long time, I remembered it being good, I guess my memory is fading. The scallops were overcooked and rubbery, and whatever the breading was, it didn’t compliment the flavor of the scallop, in the fish & chips meal the fish was overcooked and the fries were way too salty. The salads that we ordered were nothing to speak of at all. We were there on a Sunday, they were somewhat busy but not terribly, the service and food getting to us were slow. They were nice enough, but that’s the only positive I have to say, unfortunately. I had suggested this place to meet up with some people from out of town and we were all very disappointed, I won’t go back. Wish I would have read the current reviews before I suggested to go there.

We came here for dinner on St Paddy’s Day. It was our first time as we had read so many good things about this place. We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation at 7pm. Waited 10 min to be seated in the enclosed patio as we wanted to listen to the Jazz band while having dinner. Our drinks came fast but that is where the good news ends. After taking our order it took us more than an hour to get our order which was 1 open faced sandwich and fries and 1 Reuben Sandwich. There was a couple sitting near us who were seated 10 minutes before we got our food while they got theirs within 10 minutes after we got ours. How did that happen??? The band was way too loud for such a small patio space. We could barely hear ourselves think. The food was indeed very good but for the price we paid, we expected much better service and the food should arrive in a timely manner. It was a very disappointing first time and may very well have been our last here.

We ended up at Scott’s for the first time because it was Christmas and it was one of the few restaurants that were open. I was able to make a reservation through Open Table. What a wonderful surprise. The house was busy, but there were more than adequate staff to keep things moving. A limited holiday menu had plenty variety from steaks to halibut. I ordered a «surf and turf» plate with a 4oz flat iron steak and two crab cakes for $ 27.00 with a starter salad for another $ 6.00. Our server was attentive and the kitchen was prompt, especially given a full house. The meat was tender, juicy and full of flavor. The crab cakes were fresh and light and finished with a tangy sauce. The entrée was served with an unexpected by lively chilled vegetable salad. I was seated in a booth facing the kitchen and noticed the detailed attention with which the cooks paid to the plates as they made their way to the pick-up counter. The food was inspected both visually and olfactoriaely. The a la carte entrees ranged from $ 17.00 to $ 40.00, but the restaurant held up its end of the bargain. We will be going back.

So I pretty much like this place except for the price. They do have two happy hours, I believe 3−6pm and after 9pm, but mainly fattening junk food on the happy hour menu. I’ve tried the Gorgonzola fries(good but only in teeny tiny quantities), the quesadilla(yum), the tacos I hear are good, and the Caesar salad with chicken(off the regular menu cause it’s healthy). The items on the regular menu are pretty pricey, I think my Caesar salad was $ 18 after tax. The staff are super nice here!!! And it’s a pretty nice/classy bar for the North End. It’s part of the same chain as Stanford’s(although they don’t offer the yummy Mac n Cheese that Stanford’s does), and they have a loyalty card where you get points for all the money you spend as well as freebies once in a while. Woohoo for freebies!!!

Caesar salad was o.k., but lacking dressing and seasoning; I’ve had better. Sirloin steak was not as great as the KEG’s. It was dry and unflavorful. The Gorgonzola cheese crust tasted and looked like blue cheese. The savory glaze tasted suspiciously like A-1. The garlic rosemary bread was good, and I enjoyed the potatoe cake accompanying my entrée. 3 stars for food. 1 star extra because the server was great as was the ambiance of the remodeled restaurant. Competitively priced with similar establishments.
