I was craving GOOD pizza and wanted to try a new restaurant… oh and I am about as indecisive as they come. After reading too many reviews I decided on Portofino, which actually I wouldn’t have, had I stuck to the number of stars they have because Unilocal is not makin them look so good. But oh, they’re good. We placed an order for pick up and it was finished pretty quickly. I walked in to get it and loved the inside atmosphere, especially the bar area, and want to go back for happy hour. The pizza was delicious! I loved the way the cheese covered all the toppings, it was exactly what I was looking for. We got the Sicilian Classic and added pepperoni. The roasted red peppers added the perfect flavor and the pancetta was soooo salty and good. Service was friendly and fast and I am definitely going back again for other menu items and more pizza.

One of Edmonds best kept secrets. Located in a strip mall near a quiet neighborhood. Once you get seated, you are transported to a very cozy atmosphere-despite it being the lunch service, the big screen tvs and it was Seahawks Sunday-brown drapes from floor to ceiling and a very tavern-like space with booths and tables placed enough for private conversation. Lots of families eat here I would guess-and as we have been doing for quite a few years now-just order and take out. Attentive service and the menu is mostly American Italian with a bit of Greek thrown in. Very good food and a full bar too! I ordered a chicken gyro and it came with fries that are(I would guess) twice fried, so it has a crispy exterior and soft interior. Good antipasti salad and raviolis with brown butter and sage sauce. Good wine list too! Will try to come back for dinner service soon! P. S. We’ve ordered take out here 15 minutes BEFORE closing and they gladly obliged! Now that’s great customer service! Try the Turtle Silk dessert. Just try it.

Second time coming to this place and after staying in to eat I thought it’d be good to review the greatness of this place. We got there around 8:30/9 to one server working both the bar and our table in the dining area. She was super fast to greet us and was attentive. We had the Greek pizza and Greek bread.

Didn’t have time to take a real break tonight for most of us at already 8-ish pm, we were still super busy at work. «Charge» took the liberty of getting us some pizza. He ordered on-line and timing was perfect. We had a large supreme and the bbq chicken – pretty good… I was very happy he offered and it hit the spot. It was a nice gesture and so appreciated this kind of warmth. Again, doesn’t take much to make me a happy girl. I’m just sayin’… Pizza came and it was still hot and the aroma was heaven. Thanks Charge! and… Thanks Portofino for easy access! On-line ordering is brilliant! Until the next time… I might drop by and dine-in to check you out. Again, it’s located here, best town in Seattle, Edmonds-that is! That’s what’s up!

This is a nice little place for what I would call fast food pizza. They have a nice pizza oven right by the door, and friendly staff and quick seating. The pizzas are made to order mostly(with standard fare), not huge diversity in ingredients but for a family meal its good. They serve beer and wine and put the food on the table fast. We tried a Chicken Parm meal(not great), a meatball sub(not great), and several pizzas that were pretty tasty. Their garlic cheese bread is hot fast and yummy — sometimes. Other times we have ordered the same cheese bread and it was rubbery. We also ordered delivery and I would not do it again(the quality reached ‘cardboard” stage and adjusted my views on the food overall). A good litmus test for delivery pizza is whether it is initially edible and whether it is going to heat up well as a leftover — this one fails. Having their pizza served steaming hot to the table is the advantage here. It is NOT gourmet, your kids will not care, but if you do – keep looking. Bathrooms are dark, old and scary. Servers and delivery folks are downright pleasant.

OK! This time I have to disagree with the majority… The majority I suspect to be local to Edmonds and Portofino, which would be the only reason this place gets solid reviews. They are convenient geographically. Couple of things, if you like your pizza soaked in some of the greasiest, nastiest faux gourmet cheese? Order a pizza Grande, I’ve never had a more disgustingly oily and soggy cheese bread or a simple cheese pizza that soaked into the cardboard. WTH? So cheese pizza of all things was a fail. It got worse with the«cheese bread» that frankly was little more than a grease soaked hoagie roll, seemingly microwaved then squished together to form a grotesque oil sponge/cheese hoagie… Nothing to recommend it, just simply inedible, it went right into the garbage. Cannot recommend against this horror enough. Then we have the regular crust PSM pizza. Folks, if you ever go to a pizza place, and they have placed the pepperoni UNDER the cheese? Just walk away. There is no better indication of cluelessness than this. Under the cheese the pepperoni does nothing but ooze it’s fats and oils into the crust, with no chance of crisping even a bit. It does tie in with the cheese bread though, as I would guess it’s a restaurant whose food is being prepared by a disinterested teenager, angry at his folks… Again though, the godawful cheese combined with the disgusting and soggy pepperoni to create what was essentially an inedible mess. I dried a few pieces of pizza off, rebuilt and baked them properly. I was genuinely pleased at the post operative result, because hiding behind the disgusting pools of oil, was a fairly well made crust, and decent flavored sauce and sausage. However, I will not be going back, unless it’s my only option, and this is what I suspect has kept them in business this long, in their Particular bit of Edmonds they have no competition.

Decent food, mediocre service. Had an order that was delivered and was incorrect. I called in and the«manager’ told me that they would credit my account for the items that were left off. I called in to order a few weeks later and there was no credit to my account. Never going back.

The owner of this company not only apologized, but gave us a free pizza on the next order! Nobody is perfect, especially a very busy pizza place. My last review was probably influenced by my stomach. The ingredients seem very fresh and delicious! I hereby change my review back to 5 stars!

Everyone in our family loves it here. It is the one restaurant that we can all agree on. It is family friendly while also great for a date. Nice ambiance since their remodel and also has big screen TVs for sports lovers. We love their pizza(#3 has pancetta on it — yum!). We’ve been coming here for years and never had a bad experience.

Great food and great service, we had the pizza tonight which is always my favorite but we have tasted other entrees including the grinders and fettuccine Alfredo and they were equally delish.

Some of the worse pizza I’ve ever had. Ordered a pizza and garden salad for delivery on a Friday evening. The pizza was super dry and hard. And so salty it made the roof of my mouth raw. Altogether it lacked any valuable flavor and was extremely small for a medium that cost $ 16.20. Besides being way too expensive it was seriously disgusting.

Great place! Newer owners in the last few years I believe. Their pizza is very good. They also have gluten free pizza which is good too. Only comes in a large size. They have a GF penne pasta that can be used for many dishes. I love the browned butter and Mizithra cheese, and also the flavorful mushroom Marsala sauce. They have light garden salads with cheese and black olives also. We have them deliver pizza or meals sometimes too. The service is friendly and efficient. Many tv’s for casual sports viewing if you choose.

Looks like they updated the interior since we were last here. Service was quick and drinks arrived timely as as the food. Water was a bit harder to come by but they as we were about to leave. Thankfully the hubby didn’t drink his! I do like the pizza here, but i personally like Sparta’s more! They use really good ingredients on the pizza so that does bring me back every so often! Wil be back just not my first pick.

Food: OK, mini pizza nothing exciting. Ambiance: family owned, has cute retro swirly chairs. Service: great! Feels family owned, good hospitality. This is very much a local joint that if I lived near by, I would come for basic Italian.

Arrived tonight at 8:15pm, got seated and 10 min later was able to order. Couldn’t get the greek fries because something got spilled into the oil, no big. After we were seated there were 2 other parties seated. After a 25 min wait, both other parties had received their food and one party had finished eating, we were wondering what had happened. At 8:57 we decided to ask for the food to go. When I got up to the counter our food was ready, I asked for it to go and both plates were taken into the back, not the kitchen to be put into boxes. Nicely they took some money off the bill because of the wait and tried to convince us to stay. So we got home and I opened my box to a long black hair in it. Sweet, couldn’t have been a worse experience. Right in the trash, what a freaking waste of time and money. YUCK.

Ick. Ordered(take out) chicken Marsala from here on Christmas Eve, and it was pretty much inedible. The chicken was grisly and tough, I kept spitting out pieces. I was looking forward to the mushrooms(chicken Marsala!), but there were hardly any. The sauce was overly sweet. Maybe the cooks were pissed they had to work Christmas Eve or something, I don’t know, but my meal was crap and I hardly ate any of it. Just gross. My husband had a meatball sub which was just ok. Who slices up the meatballs for a meatball sub, though? Seems cheap. So disappointed.

First and last time I will order from Portofino’s. I ordered a gluten free pizza on line. My daughter went to pick up the pizza 30 minutes after it was ordered. When she arrived the pizza had not even been started to be prepared. The order was not clear to them. It was VERY clear to me when it was ordered online. There were no error messages from the website when ordered. My daughter clarified the order and the pizza was finally made. An hour after ordering the pizza it finally was ready for take out. We open the pizza box and each grab a slice. It was AWFUL. The pizza was so under cooked it was mushy and not edible. I took the pizza back and asked for my money back. At first I was given a hard time by the manager. She was putting the blame on me for how I ordered the pizza. Really, are you kidding me, I thought. She began to tell me how I «should» order a pizza on line so they are not confused when it comes time to cook it. Really? So it’s my fault that the cook’s can’t understand an online order and then under cook it. The manager finally gave me a refund. The next part is nearly unbelievable. I was not even out the door and I heard the manager tell the staff in a loud voice that the whole issue was my fault and I didn’t know how to order online. I was shocked that she said this while I was still within ear shot. I walked back in and chastised the manager for how she handled the whole situation and couldn’t believe she said what she said while I was still in the restaurant. She even want as far as to tell me that the pizza was not under cooked and this is how a gluten free pizza is cooked. I’m sorry I didn’t take a picture. It was cheese and dough. NEVERAGAINWILL I ORDERFROMHERE. HORRIBLEFOODANDUNBELIEVABLYPOORCUSTOMERSERVICE!!! The sad part is that I have to give this at least a 1 star to post this, doesn’t even deserve a 1 star.

Haven’t been in very long time, things have been cleaned up since the last time we visited. Nice updates to the interior, there’s now a «bar» with maybe seating for half a dozen? Nice looking drink specials list, that seems to be an upgrade than from before from just beer and wine. Looking at the drink menu things looked interesting and priced around $ 9 for a mixed drink. I’ll have to try something from the«adult» beverage list the next time we visit! Service has sped up, feels more consistent than before, busing crew is still top notch keeping waters refilled, plates cleared, and boxing things up. For those who have stayed away in recent years, it’s worthy of rechecking out.
