Beloved Dell laptop with broken hard drive and keyboard. 3Geeks really worked with me to get it back to something I would like and could afford. They exceeded my expectations. Customer service was excellent. My laptop is a joy to use. Thanks 3geeks!

Rarely do I write a poor review, but 2 out of 4 experiences with this shop have been bad. Would have gone to 1 star but am giving the benefit of the doubt based on one pretty good, one fair job and 2 very poor ones. The last experience breaks the camels back. Dropped off a laptop for a powerplug repair. They said 3 – 5 days to repair. Stop in on 5th day to check on the status of the repair. They told me the power plug needed a repair. I informed the young lady at the counter that this was the reason I had brought it in and that I had told them that. She typed on their computer a bit and told me the hard drive was corrupted and they needed my log-in password. I asked when someone was going call me on that since we were already at 5 days and I hadn’t heard a thing. She said«Probably next Tuesday…» I retrieved my laptop and took it somewhere else. Too lackadaisical and unprofessional for my tastes, especially with the prices they charge. There are other computer shops in downtown Edmond who are much more committed to customer satisfaction and while I prefer to support my local independent businesses, unfortunately, I will no longer be supporting this one.

I took my laptop in for a problem that was keeping me from using the computer. I specifically told them, «Don’t add anything and don’t change anything. Just fix the problem.» Steffanie told me they wouldn’t do anything without talking to me first. They kept it 1 ½ weeks and didn’t even look at it until I called on the 6th day. The technician told me it was«adware» and would cost $ 150 and take 2 – 3 days to remove. When I called back, Steffanie told me, «You have a full blown virus that lets anyone get on your computer and do anything. It will cost $ 225 to remove.» I didn’t realize that couldn’t be true, since that isn’t the way viruses work. But it scared me enough to be willing to pay the higher price. When I went in to get the computer I learned that they had added at least 3 programs and made at least one change that I didn’t want. I very calmly and politely told them why I was dissatisfied. They said nothing, as there was nothing they could say. This is a terrible business, and I will never return there. BTW, their warrantee period is a whopping 48 hours — and they only agree to «discuss» any problems you have during that period.
