Fabulous event, every month!!! We have been to several and taken people with us to share the experience. It’s great to be able to enjoy the music and food, but mostly it’s wonderful to be able to see all the local merchants and locals who attend. I highly recommend this event.

Aw, hello, tiny lil’ H&8th. I sure hope you don’t grow too big for your britches, too! Okay, so Heard on Hurd is nice. It’s small, there’s plenty of parking(and a nice lack of HURRDURRNOPARKINGHEREFORTHECOMMUNITYEVENT signs), and the food trucks I really care about seem to be regulars there. If you’ve been to both H&8th and HoH, you probably noticed the difference in the crowd, both numerically and socially. HoH has a very impatient and instant gratification oriented crowd who don’t seem to be used to waiting for anything, but it’s worth it because of the LACK of huge crowd and the quality food trucks that park themselves there. Off the Hook, Roxy’s, AND Hall’s were there and that’s just my Heavenly Trio. Oh yeah, there’s local vendors and all that.

Proud to see Edmond expanding activities! So Heard on Hurd is Edmond’s version of OKC’s H&8th. Food trucks, music, art/clothing/etc. The benefits to heard on Hurd over H&8th: bigger area means more room to move about and more easily accessed parking. It could feel less crowded because there are less people but it seems to be bigger, the street is wider than Hudson I believe. That makes a huge difference. The event does have beer and you can walk around with it! But heard on Hurd does seem to be more for a family crowd, they have games for kids to play plus the parking lot for the music stage is huge for kids to run around and dance. Overall a really nice thing Edmond is doing! If only these things would have been there when I was growing up!

Heard on Hurd is awesome! Two streets full of food trucks; happy, friendly patrons filling the streets of downtown; pop-up shops; energetic bands playing on stage; that’s a recipe for success! So, here’s the 411: –Every 3rd Saturday from 6:00pm-10:00pm –Held March through October –Local music live –Big stage, lots of seating in front to watch & eat –All your local food truck favorites –Awesome pop up shops for shopping –The downtown Edmond shops that line the streets stayed open late for shopping/eating This last time they had approx. 7500 people in attendance for the first night of the season. I wouldn’t be surprised if they surpassed 10K at subsequent events. Parking was surprisingly easy to find, and it’s Edmond, so it’s free! The rest of the night was trying my favorites(Klemm’s smokehouse, Roxy’s ice cream, Katybug’s, s’mores, etc.), jammin to the concert with friends, shopping at The Little Bubble & Roost’s popup shops, and hitting up Café Evokes late night hours. Not a bad way to spend an evening. It’s happening again this Saturday. So, what are you waiting for?!
