I ordered 3 tacos and they were missing the lettuce and sour cream and there was a hair in the container… I will never order from here again!

This is a true authentic Mexican place. The food is tasty, the plates are too big. Don’t forget to ask for the fresh orang juice they do on the spot.

Crazy Burrito, is a family favorite. Authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices. I usually order the beef burrito, while my wife gets the vegetable burrito(rice and beans). The corn tamale is a must, very tasty. Healthy portions, freshly made and at reasonable prices. The burritos include a side of home made sour cream and some hot peppers. The service is usually good, but the staff sometimes has some problems with English. The being said, they are very friendly and attentive. I have not tried many of the items on their extensive menu, but will update my review when I do.

This will be my final time to get take-out food from Crazy Burrito. In the past if something wasn’t right, I always excused them. Tonight, I had 1 Pork Tamale. It had more bones & cartlege in it than meat, why wasn’t this realized when made? Each bone & cartlege were about 2“long. I also had 1 Pork Tacos. It was very dry & tasteless. I had Guacamole with Chips. Edible but chips were not crisp. My Friends also were not satisfied with their food either. Do they eat like this? I’d rather go to Taco Bell.

Ordered for lunch at work. They deliver which is great. Food wasn’t warm by arrival but I guess that’s because it was delivered.

Awesome burritos and fast and friendly service. The establishment is very clean and nicely decorated. The food portions are very generous. I ordered fries on the side, but could not finish them because I was stuffed with the burrito. I will definitely come again next time I am in the area.

I like Crazy Burrito. I usually do takeout and have rarely been disappointed. My order is always ready when I get there. Cashier is always friendly. I really like their flan & the green sauce they use is delish. I’ve eaten in only twice but each time we were promptly taken care of and portions were great for price.

Avoid. Been there twice. Had to stand at counter and wait for the waitress for a very long time when I first arrived and when I tried to pay both times. The food was unedible. Tasted as if the ingredients had somehow lost all flavor. People who seemed to know the staff came in, cranked the juke box to maximum(the restaurant was otherwise empty) and had a little afternoon party. So, bad food, horrible service, didn’t feel welcome.

Been here twice. Was excited both times. First time I had one of my favourite Mexican dishes Chilaquiles(not sure if I spelt right). Second time was a mix of steak, chicken, beans etc. Each item was great. This is a place where the Mexican laborers go among others so I was sure it would be serve great food and I was right. Didn’t expect great service but it wasn’t bad. Honest, good Mexican food. On my Edison picks for sure.(OFCOURSENOTHINGGREATERTHANHAROLD’S DELI in the neighborhood)

Just moved here from Arizona. That being said my favorite food has always been Mexican food. Being in jersey has been hard on my stomach bcuz I have to find a place that is Just as good as tacos Los altos in az. But I had the carne asada taco– if u have had home made or went to a ranch market n az u would totally taste the difference!!! Mine seriously taste like mutton(sheep meat) didn’t taste like anything I have had before. My husband had the crazy burrito plate and he wasn’t sure what any of it was and he lady said there was chorizo in it… he couldn’t taste it or figure out what it was!!! Chorizo is not a sausage!!! Then the last thing I tried was the horchata(my favorite drink since I was a little girl) it was ok very watery not a lot of heart out into it. Maybe it’s bcuz I grew up in a very Mexican environment idk but I promise if u were to ever visit Mexico or ARIZONA California or any border states try their Mexican food and I promise you, you will fall into a food coma! I would cook my own food but my in laws R Hindu so I’m still looking for some good Mexican food!

pretty authentic, reasonably priced«hole in the wall» Mexican. chicken flautas and carne asada burrito were both pretty good, they overcook the carne asada a bit though, not sure why, kinda crunchy. burrito was big had lots of carne asada and rice., there are several tables and booths, a TV which was tuned to soccer upon my visit, a shelf with a few Mexican grocery items. people seemed friendly, there is table service or to go. mostly Mexican clientele, super casual place. if you don’t like a «hole in the wall» atmosphere, get your food to go. good place to watch soccer while dining.

I am sitting on so many places to review… like…17. It stems from my desire to try 50% of a menu first… but…my desire to go Zagat all over the place is much more greater right now. I had a Cuban sandwich. My sister had… umm…something she wasn’t too big a fan of. Was I a fan of what I had? Yeah. You thought I was going to say«si» right? Das Racist. The Cuban Sandwich was good. A part of me wants to downgrade that to tolerable, but I think«good» will suffice. It’s just that weeks later I had a Cuban Sandwich from The Cheesecake Factory for the first time ever and holy ****. Ay dos mios. I mean, every Cuban sandwich I have ever had was totally different than the one I had here. Not in a bad way and not in a change the game kinda way either. It’s just sorta there. Would I eat another one? Yeah, no doubt. Will I drive 25 minutes to? LMAOROTFLBTCSTCNDBFOOTWIFOAGWLLBGWTHROOTSAIAKBAYB* No. ************************ * = Acronym, derived from LOL(laugh out loud) LMAO(laughing my ass off) and ROFL(rolling on floor laughing). Great food for great price. Everything was very tasty and portions were generous. The only thing I wish they had was more of kids menu. Other than that I wouldn’t change a thing!

First of all, there were several chicken bones in the tamales. Just unacceptable. All in all, the rest of the food(burrito and enchiladas) lacked seasoning and overall flavor. Couldn’t even finish eating it. Pretty disappointed and won’t be returning.

Complete Disappointment… The quality of food has been gradually decreasing to a point where i would never set foot here again. There was a time I was in love with this place but lately its been nothing but disappointing. Wish they up their game again…

Nice little Taco Joint. Service is on the slower side, but thats because they make everything fresh to order. Call ahead for takeout and avoid the wait. Homemade tortilla chips are a plus, but sometimes are a little too greasy. The authentic mexican dishes are very tasty and a good value. Cant speak on the delivery issues others have had, but I don’t like delivery food anyway — it never arrives hot enough from anywhere.

I went here for an early take out lunch based on the reviews I saw on Unilocal and the food definitely exceeded expectations. This is as authentic as Mexican can possibly get in central NJ. The menu is in both Spanish and English which helps considering that the people that work there are not native English speakers, which makes the food even more authentic, but difficult to customize an order if you do not speak Spanish. There are helpful pictures throughout the menu most of their platters as well. Being vegetarian, I always find it really difficult to find restaurants that have vegetarian offerings besides salads, wraps, pizza, and pastas. The menu here does have quite a few vegetarian options including tamales, quesadillas, enchiladas, burritos, and a vegetarian platter. I decided on a corn tamale and a vegetarian burrito. The burrito was filled with black beans and rice and topped with tomatos, lettuce, a mexican cheese(not sure what kind of cheese it was but it had the texture of parmesan), sour cream, and pickled jalapenos(on the side). It also came with a side of sour cream, red sauce, which was smoky and spicy and this really awesome cilantro green sauce. The burrito is huge and basically took me an entire day to finish. The tortilla was fresh, but after a while the filling was a little boring without the sauces. At 5.00 I’m not complaining! The highlight of the meal was the fresh corn tamale though. I took one bit into it when it was still really warm and I was totally blown away. It was soft and spongy in a good way and the corn flavors really stood. I think that was definitely one of the best bites I’ve ever taken of any type of food. It was a steal at 1.50! If you’re getting your meal to go make sure you ask for tortilla chips because they are fresh and homemade but I had to ask for them! The atmosphere is a little gloomy due to the lighting but they have color throughout the store. They also carry a small grocery section with beans, cheeses, coconut water, mangoes, etc. I will definitely return for lunch or takeout and maybe be more adventurous and try a cactus dish.
