Schmitt feels like the only place in town for the selection they carry — and it feels like that know that! I went in for a piano light for a Christmas present for my daughter. They had precisely one model in stock(not one that would work for us). They seemed completely clueless about their business when I asked if they had other models, saying in a very cavalier way(as if they were indifferent to whether they get business or not) «Well, we only ever sell those in November and December, and they always sell out!». Interesting conversation but I decided it wasn’t worth my time to given them demand planning tips. I just ordered the light I wanted from Amazon and I was done. Regret having gone to Schmitt as they were so entitled and not at all helpful. They could certainly order more inventory for November/December sales(Christmas comes the last week of December every year, like clockwork!) if they wanted to, which leads me to conclude they are indifferent to those sales.
