Received the best service here, my servers name was Jeremiah. He was gracious, considerate and clever. Because of him I had an overwhelmingly positive experience. The food was fine but where it lacked Jeremiah’s service made up for it. If you are able to request him as a server I would highly recommend it. He deserves a raise.

On November 27th I came into the restaurant at about 10.30AM. I got seated and waited for 7 minutes. No wait staff came. I told this to the manager on my way out of the restaurant. They were not overly busy.

The only time we ever come here is during late nights. Usually around 11 pm or midnight. The food is good and it definitely hits the spot especially when you’re hungry. There are times when it’s packed and there are times when it’s not. With that being said, service can be slow at times but I would still recommend this place. We already make the drive just to come to this specific Perkins.

Very disappointed. Came in at 12:08. It is now 1:14 and no food. No explanation. Come on. It’s a Perkins. Not a 5 star restaurant where I have been served faster.

Way over priced. I ordered the two egg special with 4 links of sausage and a cup of tea. The eggs must be grade C. These are the smallest egg yolks I’ve ever seen — both in diameter and volume. The sausage was bland, the hash browns were a frozen serving. This place wants something like $ 2.50 for a cup of tea. So for two tiny eggs, a small serving of hash browns, and 4 links of sausage, and a beverage the bill was $ 11.88

Place has gone downhill. I have rarely updated reviews but found it necessary because the service was terrible. First off, the waitress looked annoyed the entire time, I ordered a more expensive omelette than my friend eating with me and I received cheese whiz only on my omelette and he had real cheese. If I wanted cheese whiz I would have gone to Taco Bell. Was never asked how my meal was and did not leave a tip. Don’t eat here unless you are as low as this place.

It’s the EDINA Perkins, so you know this is Perkins at its best. 12:15 on a Sunday, plenty of people but immediate seating. Everyone working here was fabulous, it would seem there is a good camaraderie between the hosts and waiters and servers and busboys. I overheard many conversations that suggest this is a place with regulars who like their regular waiter. Nice. I had a combo platter and the kid had a kids meal. Tons of food + 20% tip for $ 14.

My wife and I have been here about 20 times, it is about a mile from our house, so a good walk on a Sunday, every time the service is great and the food is plentiful and reasonably priced. We really like how this place has salads available in the morning. since I get the bread bowl salad more often than not. Also, they don’t look at you weird when you order a Diet Coke for breakfast. I have tried multiple omelets and they are always solid. The hash browns are always crisp. Since I have been on a healthier kick, we haven’t been here in awhile, but everytime we went, it was really good.

My only complaint was that my wife ordered me a mello yellow when she knew I was trying to cut out pop from my routine. I think the added caffeine was responsible for my sleepless night. Oh well. This location is friendly. Everyone was nice. and that’s a plus. I ordered an the avocado omelet and it didn’t really look like the picture, but tasted good. How can you go wrong with breakfast food? Their breakfast potatoes were great and the highlight of my meal. I love those fried cubes of goodness.

The first time I went to this Perkins, there was still a smoking section… so i believe that was in the early sixties… times have changed but my love for the tremendous twelve and the chicken tender melt never will. The amount of food you get here is equivalent to that of a Denny’s or Shari’s but honestly, it’s just flippin’ better. It’s not gourmet, by any stretch, but it’s really good, and when you’re drunk at midnight(not in high school, that’s illegal) and you need three eggs, four pancakes, four strips of bacon and hash browns… where the heck are you going to go… A special thanks to the staff for handling the stampedes after football games as well… You guys did a great job of keeping 200 people out of my backyard for a few hours… in 2001. I love you, Perkins. Open in Seattle. Try the muffins… unless they’ve changed, they’re the size of your head, and have more butter and sugar than Paula Dean’s cookbook(I know I know, not possible). I can’t stop thinking about the chicken tender melt now… ugh… Buttery toast housing fried chicken strips, peppered bacon, and pepperjeck cheese… served with salsa… *feels heart rate quicken* Ok I’m done. Their french silk pie is bomb.

This is like Denny’s super hot sister. We ventured here after a night of heavy drinking on our way home(actually out of our way home, but still) to get some early morning/late night food. The service was super friendly and the menu looked amazing. I ended up getting something that felt like an abomination in such an amazing way. I ordered this bowl thing that was chicken tenders, biscuit, eggs, and gravy. If I had been sober in no way would I have ever ordered that or enjoyed it. However drunk it was amazing. If you are looking for something to soak the booze up this is a great stop. Keep it classy Perkins.

In my quest for cheap breakfast(a la Waffle House), this is the closest I could find. I’ve never been to a Perkins before(I told the manager when I was leaving and he asked«Where have you been?» My reply«I grew up in a Waffle House state» and he understood) The staff was friendly and helpful and it was just darn good breakfast food at 10pm(or later, I don’t really remember). 2.5 years in my house and this has been around the corner the whole time…

Better than Ihop? I think so. Better than Denny’s? Sure. Yup, when hunger called very late one night Good old Perkins was there to help us out. This is a nice location in Edina, I had been to a not so nice one in St Paul about two years ago. The place looked very clean and was not too busy, which is always great. The waitress was very nice and quick. The food was very good. I ordered breakfast(of course) and a bowl of fruit. My order was the usual: eggs, sausage pancakes and hash browns. I thought the pancakes were really good, I wasn’t too hungry and shared the meal with my friend. I was more than satisfied with the portions(you can definitely share it, eating too much late at night is not a good idea!). I thought Perkins was A-OK, and I will definitely be visiting them again when in Minnesota! =)

The menu takes a while to navigate(I got caught up in the over 55 menu, trying to figure out what Perkins’ idea of healthy was). The server came to take our order RIGHTAWAY. Before my order was out of my mouth the server told me I should order something else that would have everything I wanted, at a cheaper price. Thank you! Homestyle potatoes were tasty, not so for the french fries that came with the burger my husband ordered. Butter ONTHESIDE for toast, I specified. NO butter for Prachee, they decided. Poached eggs I specified. Fried eggs is what I got. Yes yes yes I know I was at Perkins. But they lead me on by saying ”eggs cooked to order”. Walked away with the feeling that I had an obligation to not stray from a very healthy diet for the next 30 days at the very least.
