So happy to find a Peruvian chicken place near me! A good one at that! Chicken had crispy skin on the outside and juicy on thr inside. Typical seasoning– mostly cumin based with their own little twist. Plantains tasted fresh, perfectly ripe, and cooked correctly(not deep fried like a lot of places do to cut corners). They had a nice caramelization on the outside. The yucca was a little over done, making it a bit too dry(even for yucca). Left very satisfied and will return!

I love this place and their chicken, but lately I’m sad bc there has been numerous times when I have gone in there and ordered my usual chix sub and there are no to little ingredients. There was even a time I was told there was no chicken for the subs. The people are very polite and hopefully will start to stock more food bc I would love to start eating there again.

Only 5 minutes off the Bel Air/Edgewood exit of I-95, this restaurant is well worth the slight detour! The chicken was moist and succulent, and the plantains, beans, and French fries were wonderful accompaniments. We only wished we had more stomach room for the yucca, cole slaw, and corn. Service was incredibly friendly, and we hope to return next time we come this way.

Pretty awesome food. no place like it. Good portions. There isn’t much to pick from with the sides, and I like a good side dish. The chicken soup I normally get as one of my sides. Watch out there’s.bones in it tho. truly homemade chicken noodle tho. The chicken has good flavor. Its a good place to get a good meal. Home cooked taste, def not a chain restaurant type of food. Good stufff

My wife introduced me to Mikey’s Chicken Rico and I have never been disappointed. We always get the chicken dinner with two sides and we have always been satisfied. The chicken is moist, the plantains are awesome and their two dipping sauces are great(the green is really hot). Once again, another place that I do not mind eating off Styrofoam.

This place is alright. Quick service. Decent food – very good for this area though. Not too much else here besides chains. Chicken is ok-flavored. Cooked well, although for some reason the bones were falling apart… want seasoned much though Green sauce is weak. Barely halfway filled and kinda oily Fried plantains were good. Oily as normal With that aside: Fried yucca best I’ve EVER had. Crunchy but most inside. Very good flavor and super fresh. I’d come back for the yucca. If the only thing they sold was this yucca I’d give them 5 stars. I might even drive the 1.5 hours for it…

Driving from dc to nyc and in need of lunch? Take the Joppa exit off of 95 and follow the signs to Wendy’s and Friendly’s. Then go here instead(in a strip mall next to a family dollar store). The chicken is great, moist and well seasoned. The yucca and plantains are not to be missed. Their black beans were great and their mac and cheese was also pretty interesting. What’s more, we split ¾ of a chicken, a double order of the yucca and one each of the other sides mentioned, along with a pair of drinks, for only 18 dollars. Could have been even cheaper if we’d purchased a rational amount of food, given how much we had left over. Well worth the two-mile side trip from the fast food wasteland that is 95.

Excellent chicken. The dark meat was succulent and perfectly crisp skin. The plantains were JUICY —(WEPA!) Ended up buying a whole chicken to take home to NYC. It will have a good home until we eat it.

A simple meal, which can be relatively inexpensive if you get the chicken meals, but can be a bit more pricey if you get the other options such as the beef. I had the ¼ chicken + yucca + tortilla which was delicious. Very similar to the chicken place in Aberdeen. My husband had the carne asada with yucca + tortilla. We had to wait a little over 10 minutes for his dish but he enjoyed it a lot. They are a bit stingy regarding the sauce, but you can purchase more for a price.

Their chicken is awesome! You get 2 sides and a can of pop for a good price. The ½ portion is quite filling. Even for a 20 something that can eat everything in sight.

I have been to this restaurant twice for carry out. The restaurant itself is very clean and well maintained. The woman who was working during both occasions was friendly and packaged the food quickly. The food is really wonderful; I especially enjoyed the fried plantains and the fried rice. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. It is lovely to have an alternative to the 50,000 pizza/pasta places and fast food in Edgewood.
