I followed signs off the highway to an exit with lots of options. I figured if there were fast food restaurants, there would also be some good local choices. I happened in to Gus’s and was so pleasantly surprised. The pizza and wings were very good(and I’m a New Yorker!) but the cream of crab soup was the star. The employees were so nice and accommodating of me and my two little kids. It’s a casual dining place. Excellent option!

Sigh. After reading the reviews about their cream of crab soup I ordered it. and was PISSED!!! It wasn’t hot. .nor was it thick. I did get extra crabmeat… and they wasn’t selfish with it… but the soup itself was very disappointing

They got great food, my fav are the cold cuts, however I tell ya the place is haunted, but its def worth the subs, also many of the employees are very attractive, but not all are, but most

Awe man I drive from Essex to Edgewood when ever I need me a fresh pie. Atmosphere is everything with this spot the staff here are great always walkout with smile. They really take the time to learn there regular customers favorites. Don’t forget desert because you will miss out the rice puddings to die for. This is a great family restaurant popular and well known. They defiantly have my recommendation !

I was in town briefly on business and stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. It was so good that I went back each day I was there to try something different. Obviously, for me to eat here everyday for one week everything is spectacular! The pizza, cream of crab soup, crabcakes, burgers, and homemade rice pudding are equally decadent. That is just to name a few. When you come in their restaurant, they treat you like family. This pizzeria claims to have the best pizza within 50 miles, but I disagree with this. Their pizzeria is the finest in the entire U.S.

Stopped in to try the Cream of Crab Soup advertised in the window. It was excellent,… «to Die for!» is right on, and the service was also very good. I wish I had more time in the area to try the Broiled Jumbo Lump Crabcake… maybe next time.

We ordered hot wings, large pizza and a cheesesteak. All the food was very good. Fast service. Clean dining room. I’d definitely come back.

I can’t express in words how pleased I am with Gus’s Pizza!!! When I was a kid(I’m 33 now) Gus’s was in the same shopping center, in a older building, and quite small. But my parents would always order food from there and I LOVED their pizza! As I got older, I continued to go there, and I’ve never been dissatisfied!!! So when the old shopping center got ripped down, and Gus’s got a whole new place… not only did we order from there, but we also went inside and sat for dinner a few times! The dining room in dimly lighted(perfect lighting BTW) with flat screen tv’s on each end… and so much room in between the 2 sides of the booths that my 4 year old son(who’s turning 5 this weekend) could do flips! LOL Not to mention, the service is ALWAYS friendly and helpful!!! I remember them being open during a snow storm… when EVERYTHING in Harford County was closed!!! There was like a foot of snow outside, and they delivered us food in 4 wheel drive vehicles!!! OMG, they had to have made a FORTUNE that night!!! God, I love this place… So onto the food. Since I’ve been going to Gus’s for like 20+ years, I’ve tried just about everything on the menu. Cheese steaks are AMAZING… they have great flavor and you can tell the bread is not your grocery store brand. It’s light and fluffy… and has that«fresh out of the oven» taste that you don’t really get too much anymore. And don’t let me get started on their pizza… PIZZAISGREAT! My absolute fav, would do anything for pizza, would have to be their Crab Imperial Pizza!!! Hands down, AMAZING pizza! Then there’s the cream of crab soup… that actually HAS crab in it!!! LOL Amazing flavors and big chunks of jumbo lump crab meat!!! My son’s father ordered a Club Sub one night and asked for them to add roast beef and raved about it forever!!! So one night, I caved… still ordered my Crab Imperial Pizza, but also tried this stupid club sub w/added roast beef that he kept telling me was«great» and«the best» he’s «ever had.» Boy was he right! OMG… I’m not too into eating lunch meat subs from pizza places(I’m more of a cheese steak/chicken cheese steak w/pizza and fries kinds chick… even though I’m dieting LOL) but even this sub was FANTASTIC! I did end up ordering it again one night… he was right. Best club I’ve ever had in my life! As for delivery, I’ve only had delivery a hand full of times. Like the snowy night, and a few nights when I was recovering from my unplanned c-section and couldn’t drive. This is mostly because I’ve been going here long enough to know that the delivery is kinda slow most times. But it’s only because they are super busy all the time! They have enough delivery drivers(or so I think at least… idk if anything’s changed since I moved) but they are always overwhelmed. So since I always lived in the Joppatowne/Edgewood area, I usually ordered carry out and picked it up myself. And I don’t think I’ve ever waited in their lobby for more than 5 minutes after I’ve arrived to pick up an order. Being that I’ve been a fan of Gus’s for so long, I don’t fault them for delivery times because I know how busy they get. They’ve been around for well over 20 years and have a great local reputation. I’m not afraid to wait a few extra minutes for food, as long as it’s hot and tastes great… and consists of nothing but premium ingredients :)

I like ordering from Gus’. I really love the cream of crab soup and the crab dip pizza. The other pizzas are good, too. My only complaint is that it is a bit on the expensive side as far as pizzas go.

Quite good pizza. The staff is always friendly, and if you tip they ring a bell and everyone yells ‘thanks.’ They have a very good promotion program that helps you save money. It’s among the best pizza places within a reasonable distance from my house. Recommended.

Not good. At all. Bad enough that I’m actually wondering if some of these other reviews are fake, but maybe I just got them on a bad night? Pizza tasted like a salt lick, and the small was truly tiny(my own fault there for not catching that it’s only 10″, which is why I’m giving them 2 stars instead of one). I also ordered fried mushrooms which arrived in a brown paper bag, congealed in grease, with no dipping sauce. I’d rather have generic chain restaurant pizza — it’s cheaper, tastes better, and gets to me faster.

Really delicious sub sandwich. The lunch special was a good deal. Wish I’d been able to try their pizza, but it would’ve been too hard to nosh and drive and it was my turn. Next time I’m in the area I’ll definitely stop in again; the dining room looked clean and inviting.

Stopped for a coffee at the Dunkin next door and we decided to get some lunch. The prices were excellent — subs are between $ 6 and $ 9 — lunch specials are about $ 6 for ½ sub, chips, and drink. The service was fast and the dining area was clean and roomy. Overall a great experience, better than we expected for a quick«on the road» stop.

Best pizza sauce in the area, but called in a pizza at 10:30 and they didn’t deliver it until noon. Their pizza is also very pricey.

We recently moved from Maryland, but ate at Gus’s at least two times per month during our MD stay. The pizza id great and service is better. Most of the staff will know your name by the third or forth visit. The sauce is not just a canned sauce and tast different from anything that we’ve ever had. We’ve been in Wisconsin now for over 6 months and my kids still say how much they miss them. If you ever have the chance, talk to the owner. He knows pizza like no one else.

This was my first time stopping by this place. Ordered a pizza and waited for it. They said it would be ready in 15 – 20 and it was ready in about 20 minutes. This was a Friday night too and they were really busy. I didn’t have any trouble with them waiting on me when I went in to order. I did not sit down to eat but took it to go. My husband and I thought the pizza was great. It had a lot of sauce on it so we didn’t need to order extra, which is a nice change around here! We will definitely go back to try other things.

Let’s just say my first experience with customer service wasn’t the best. I come in to no line and about 2 people at the register. While one individual is on the phone, she turns around and yells, «I need help» without acknowledging my existence. Food was ok.
