I rarely go to dry cleaners because of the misconception that it is pricey and not as trustworthy on the quality of the services, but I must say I was fairly impressed with Willow Hudson Cleaners! The front lady was friendly and the service was great. The price was very reasonable and they are willing to get things done quickly, if needed. I brought in a tie that needed to be pressed real quickly before I go into work; the front lady gladly took my request and ironed my tie, placed it on a hanger, and wrapped it up for me under 10 minutes. It was fast and reliable. I definitely recommend this cleaners for anyone who needs a place they could trust to get the job done.

It’s rare that I write a Unilocal purely to rant without any clear advice for the reader… more typically my goal is get a laugh, but… I take two garments and a baseball hat in. I wanted the hat washed, but the label said«Dry Clean Only», and I was thinking ok, a few dollars to get it done… at least I’d be able to avoid the«misshapen hat from being washed in the clothes washer syndrome.» The employee takes my three items and issues a receipt. I return on the due date and I am greeted by my two garments ready to go and my sad, obviously uncleaned hat. A different employee explains that the dry cleaner is reluctant to dry clean because of the unknown material inside the brim. I point out the label and its direction to «dry clean only». Somewhat curiously she suggests their attempting to wash the cap gently, using woolite. While I appreciate her thinking outside the box, I share my concern given the label. We have a give and take, then land on our strategy… to dry clean the cap! She asks for a few more days on the turnaround so that she can speak with a different one of their dry cleaning companies. I agree and am given a receipt with a due date one week out. I return another week later only to be greeted once again by my sad, unclean hat. By a now third employee, I am informed of the refusal by the dry cleaner to clean my hat. And so, about 3 weeks and 3 trips in, I have nothing to show except my now seemingly dirtier hat due to all the handling. I just wanted to move forward with the strategy, but I guess they couldn’t do that. At the very least, I would have appreciated a phone call before all this time went past just to let me know that I was going to be SOL. I guess my next step is to find some clandestine, black market dry cleaner who is willing to throw caution to the wind and risk their machine on my baseball cap… which apparently might explode in the process. There…at least I shared. Hats off to Willow!
